Everything I thought I knew about myself and my past is wrong. The person I see when I look in the mirror is a stranger. I don't know what's true, and what isn't. The only people I can trust are at odds with each other. Fighting over me while I fight to understand the secrets as one by one, they come to the surface.
Connor, Riley, Josiah and Brooks; they're all dark in their own way. All damaged, like I am. They want my present and my future, while I try desperately to understand the past.
When all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place, will any of us be left standing, or will this tear us all apart forever?
Just no. I barely made it through the 1st book. Mostly hung in there for the mystery angle. The romance was...not romantic. At all. Not even steamy. It was like AI written playground bullying trying to pass itself as romance. The ending wasn't a surprise but it left me just curious about the 2nd book to pick it up. But no. So very no. It went so OTT trying to be taboo that it was sadly hilarious instead. And not intentionally.
I've enjoyed other books but this author. This one just didn't do it for me.
What a conclusion! To learn Leah’s truth was intense to say the least. I thought I knew the answers but I so did not. Maggie is oh so very good at taking you on a mental ride and not allowing you off until she says so. Thoroughly enjoyed this duet.
Well i absolutely didn’t expect that plot twist…and i don’t mean the one about the guys that was expected if you read any maggie books. Loved this duet!
