The Novum Institution

Interesting concept— although I do wish we had gotten a more in-depth explanation of all the lore that led to the way things were. There were times that I was a little lost with the details, and I almost felt like I had missed some sort of memo that would’ve helped me understand better. Sometimes things got a little repetitive. Quite a few grammar issues and/or typos that could afford to be fixed (mostly at the start), but neither really impact the story overall, and there are still some pretty great lines. Overall, it was good. I fell into a bit of a slump in the middle of reading it, but I’m not sure if that was the book or life getting in the way. I would do 3.5 stars but that’s not a thing so I’m rounding up.
