4🌟, 3🌶️

This was such a sweet and comforting small-town romance with plenty of heart.

Kate and Vaughn had an easy chemistry from the start, but what kept me invested was watching them slowly heal alongside each other. Their romance felt genuine, and I enjoyed seeing their walls come down as they found comfort in the most unexpected place.

Kate was easily the standout for me. I loved her determination to become a firefighter while continuing to care for others, and she was impossible not to admire. Vaughn’s emotional journey back home added another layer to the story, but Gus completely stole every scene he was in. His banter with Kate and the gradual healing between all three characters gave the book so much warmth.

This is a heartfelt story about forgiveness, found family, and discovering where you truly belong. It has a nice balance of romance, humor, emotion, and a little spice, making it an easy and enjoyable read. Even without reading the earlier books, I had no trouble connecting with Kate, Vaughn, and their journey.

If you enjoy found family and small-town romances, this is worth checking out.

Huge thank you to Rae Fields and Grey’s Promotions for the ARC! 😍 All my bookish thoughts are completely my own. ✨

❤️🏡 Sometimes Home Finds You 🏡❤️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️

Sometimes the best stories aren't the ones filled with nonstop drama or shocking twists. Sometimes they're the ones that quietly remind you that healing is possible, forgiveness matters, and home isn't always a place. Undeniable Love was exactly that kind of story. It completely pulled me in from the beginning and left me closing the book with a huge smile.

Kate was the heart of this story. Her determination to become a firefighter while continuing to care for the people around her made her impossible not to admire. She carried so much compassion, even after everything life had thrown her way, and I loved watching her slowly realize that she deserved happiness too. Whether she was tackling firefighter training or patiently navigating the complicated Adams family dynamics, Kate brought warmth and strength to every page.

Vaughn's journey home was just as emotional. Returning to the town he left behind twenty years earlier meant facing old wounds he had spent years trying to forget. Beneath his guarded exterior was a man carrying years of hurt, and watching him slowly let people back into his life made his character growth incredibly rewarding. His chemistry with Kate felt effortless from the very beginning, and I loved seeing their relationship develop naturally as they learned to trust one another.

As much as I loved Kate and Vaughn together, Gus became one of my favorite characters. His banter with Kate constantly made me smile, and the healing that took place between all three of them added so much heart to the story. The found family aspect blended beautifully with the second chance at repairing old relationships, making this feel like so much more than just a romance.

The small-town setting, supportive friendships, and emotional family moments created the perfect balance of humor, heart, and romance. Even without reading the earlier books in the series, I had no trouble connecting with these characters or becoming invested in their journey. Undeniable Love is a beautiful reminder that sometimes forgiveness opens the door to the life you've been searching for all along.

Thank you to Rae Fields and Greys Promotions for providing me with a gifted advanced reader copy. I am so grateful for the opportunity to read and review this story. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Okay, this was exactly the cozy small-town firefighter romance I needed. Kate and Vaughn had that easy, clicks-right-away chemistry, but the thing that actually hooked me was watching the two of them heal at the same time, quietly making room for each other. By the end of chapter three I was all the way in, fully invested and making embarrassing little sounds at my Kindle because I was so wrapped up in them.
Kate was my standout, hands down. A woman chasing her dream of becoming a firefighter while still taking care of everyone around her? I adored her. She was impossible not to root for. And Vaughn coming back home, hauling all his emotional baggage with him, gave the story real depth. He also said a few things that had me grinning like a fool, even if I did yell at him once or twice along the way, as one does.
But can we talk about Gus. GUS. He stole every single scene he was in. The banter between him and Kate and the slow, gradual healing between all three of them is the found family heart of this book, and it gave me so much warmth.
The forced proximity worked so well here, and the whole thing balances romance, humor, emotion, and just enough spice without ever tipping too far in one direction. At its core it is a story about forgiveness, found family, and figuring out where you actually belong. I jumped in without reading the earlier books and had zero trouble falling right into Kate and Vaughn's world, so it holds up as a standalone too.
If you love a small-town setting and a found family that sneaks up and wrecks you a little, add this one. I closed it with a big dumb smile on my face. 🖤

This is a small town romance with a firefighter/medic, a grumpy grandpa figure, a returned family member, and found family of the heart. The book is written in the alternating perspectives of the main characters.

This book is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me, with a bit of spice
🌶️🌶️🌶️, a lot of ❤️❤️❤️❤️, and the breaking down of walls.

This story features the characters of Kate and Vaughn. Both are lost to the experience of being alone, but also having been brought together by the grump, better known as Gus.

Kate is trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. She works as a medic, but has lost that sense of truly helping others. With what life has thrown Kate’s way there should be no surprise about how she has gotten to this point. The only person who has managed to worm his way into her life, is a lonely, old man. So with a chance at experiencing something new, she joins the firefighter training academy.

Vaughn is retired from the military and has partnered with his friend Carlos to run a surfing and yoga center in Bali. Things are slowly coming together when he gets called back to the States to the land that he owns, and the old man that has denied his existence for twenty years. Vaughn has no expectations to change anything with anyone, but he does want to protect what is his.

Kate and Vaughn and Gus have their hearts to heal, and a lot more life to live. Can these three find what they need or just what they are hoping to find?

I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more of Rae Fields’ books. Definitely recommend this book to those looking for a story with a strong female character, friends that look to support and care for one another, and family (in all its forms).

I received an ARC of Undeniable Love by Rae Fields from Grey’s Promotions. Thank you for the chance to read this story!

Vaughn & Kate

🤍firefighter/paramedic (heroine)
🤍return to hometown (hero)
🤍found family
🤍small town
🤍forced proximity

I thoroughly enjoyed Vaughn and Kate's story. It was an easy read and kept me interested. I loved that from the moment they met, there was instant connection/ attraction. Little did they know that they were more connected than they initially thought.

Kate is a paramedic who moved into the home of a lonely elderly man to look after him. She hasn't felt settled or worthy of anything in a long time so she decides to change her career path and become a firefighter. On top of training and studying, Kate is helping Gus out on his farm she is starting to feel completely drained.

Vaughn hasn't been home in nearly 20 years, due his grandfather kicking him out. He's finally back in the place he once called home and runs right into a beautiful woman at the coffee shop. Little does he know that the woman is staying with his cranky grandfather. He later finds himself back in his grandfathers home, looking after him the best he can for how grumpy the man is. He also can't seem to understand the connection he has with Kate and the more he gets to know her, the more he understands that she truly cares for both Gus and himself.

Kate helps Vaughn and his grandfather make amends and just hopes one day she will have a family again and will be enough for someone. She's hoping that Vaughn is that person for her but he was never meant to stay.. Can she be the person to change that?

They best part of this book was Kate's determination to make a name for herself in a male dominated field. The banter with Gus was just a good too! Without having read the first two books of this series it was fairly easy to pick up where it left off but definitely would have been easier to read those books as well.

My first Rae Fields novel is a treasure! It is undeniably endearing and sweet, and I found myself completely enchanted by Kate and the charmingly complicated Adams men.

Kate is a total force of nature. Her honesty and strength are exactly what’s needed to navigate the grumpy waters of Gus Adams, who is a bit crotchety. Kate has been through so much, yet she wields her kindness and patience like superpowers. It’s amazing to see her tackle life's challenges with such grace and compassion. And just when you think she’s got everything under control, enter Vaughn, the sexy, grumpy grandson, and suddenly her world gets a major shake-up.

Vaughn's return home after twenty long years is packed with anxiety and reluctance. The sooner he wraps up his business, the sooner he can hit the road again. My heart truly broke for him as he opens up about his past. Underneath that grumpy exterior lies a caring man who wants to find peace with his life, and I teared up at the glimpses of vulnerability he shows toward his grandfather.

From the moment Kate and Vaughn are thrown into the mix of caring for Gus, their chemistry is electric. It’s wild how they find themselves healing each other amidst the chaos of their new arrangements. They’re not just looking out for Gus; they’re navigating their own healing journeys and finding solace in each other’s company. It’s a beautifully messy situation that had me rooting for them from the first page.

Overall, this romance is a delightful mixture of humor, heart, and healing. The characters are real, relatable, and unforgettable. If you’re in the mood for a book that warms your heart, grab this one—you won’t regret it!

Thank you to Ms. Fields for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

This was such a fun read, and I ended up really liking Vaughn and Kate’s story.

One of the biggest signs that I was going to enjoy this book was the fact that I was completely invested by the end of chapter three. From that point on, I found myself fully hooked, and I made so many reader noises throughout because I was so engaged in everything happening.

I really loved Vaughn and Kate together. Their forced proximity dynamic worked so well, and I had a great time watching their relationship develop throughout the story. And Vaughn? Some of the things that man said had me smiling more than once. I may have yelled at him once or twice while reading, but overall I really enjoyed following his character.

I also have to mention Gus because I absolutely loved him. He was such a great character, and I really enjoyed the role he played in the story as a whole.

The small town setting, found family feel, and overall character dynamics made this such an enjoyable read, and I found myself getting more invested the deeper I got into the story.

I also really loved the ending, which wrapped everything up in a way that left me closing the book with a smile.

Overall, this was a fun, engaging romance with great chemistry, lovable characters, and a story that pulled me in incredibly quickly. I’m definitely glad I picked this one up.

So grateful to have had the chance to read this ARC, and a big thank you to the author.

Undeniable Love by Rae Fields
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was such a great read! Kate & Vaughn had an instant connection from the moment they met.

Kate is a paramedic looking for a new meaning to her life. She’s found herself in a situation where she is trading caregiving services to one of her medic patients in exchange for free room and board while she attends firefighting training as a rookie.

Vaughn moves away after being disowned because of a family tragedy. He had no intention of returning, until he’s contacted by someone managing his grandparents estate because they are at risk of losing the farm that has been in the family for generations.

Kate ends up being the peacemaker between Vaughn and his grandfather Gus. Gus is one of those old fellas who is ornery, really rough around the edges, but is secretly a softy. I love him! Seriously, I think he might be my favorite character in this entire book. 😂

Undeniable Love had a fantastic ending. I highly recommend!! I’m not sure if this is actually part of the published book or if the ending is different in the ARC but it leaves off on a major cliffhanger. What’s happened to Cassidy!?! Gah, I MUST know!

A huge thank you to @authorraefields and @greyspromo for the eARC of this book. I am so grateful and look forward to the release of book 4!

Omg this book was so good. Kate is such a strong woman who dominates her career as a firefighter in this book and I just am so obsessed with Vaughn, and the relationship between Gus and so cute. There were a few emotional scenes in this where a few tears were shed. This was such a great small town romance found family short and sweet read.

Vaughn Adams

After my grandfather disowned me, I vowed to never return to small town Senoma and for twenty years I’ve kept that promise. The only thing that could bring me back? The threat of losing the farm that’s been in my family for generations. I knew coming home wouldn’t be easy, but meeting the red-headed vixen on my way into town had me thinking things might be looking up.

Until I reach the farm and find that she’s living there and taking care of the man who ran me off.

Kate Hawthorne

It was supposed to be an easy gig, trading caregiver services to one of my medic patients in exchange for a free place to live during firefighter rookie school. Until his grandson comes home and I suddenly have to play peacemaker. Being one of the only females in the recruit program will be tough, but surviving these two is the real challenge.

Though my new career may be the thing that tears us apart for good.

I love interconnected, standalone romance series like this one. It allows readers to jump in whenever and wherever they can without getting lost. I had not read the previous books in the James County Fire Rescue series, nor had I read from the author before, but I am really glad that I now have.

This story features a strong, independent, badass firefighter FMC and a stubborn, sometimes aggravating MMC, and the greatest grandfather side character I have ever read. The book packs all the punches of a well-written, tear-jerking, small-town romance in less than 300 pages. The story features the trauma and pain the MCs have experienced in their lives, all the reasons they should not take a chance on love, and all the reasons they should throw caution to the wind and take a chance on love and each other.

This book will make you feel all the feels: the hurt, the joy, the love, and everything in between. You will likely need to have some tissues close by for this one. I found the characters to be well-developed and the story to be genuine and believable. There were no weird plot holes or parts that felt rushed. Overall, this was a solid read from a new favorite author.

Kate is a paramedic, she decides she wants to train as a firefighter as she feels she can do more, but she realises that with the lower pay she can't afford to stay where she is, Gus lives on the family farm, he refuses to call it a ranch! No animals! He's got diabetes and isn't taking care of himself, so they come to an arrangement, she stays there and keeps an eye on him, cooking food he's supposed to have and he has someone around to make sure he's ok.
Vaughn has left the forces and with his great friend has a business in Bali. He hears from the lawyer that his grandfather is about to lose the family farm, he needs to go back for the reading of his grandmother's will.
When he arrives Gus isn't happy to see him, really funny, poor Kate has to get in the middle.
We learn the backstory of why they are at each other's throats and slowly Kate manages to get them to get on better with each other. Neither of them are particularly happy with her training to be a firefighter, but she doesn't know why as they won't tell her.
Gradually Kate and Vaughn get closer together, but his business is still in Bali, should he tell her and his grandfather?

A great emotional, hanky needed, story from Rae, looking forward to reading Cassidy's story next.

I have never read anything by Rae Fields before, OMG this was fantastic!! This is part of the James County Fire Rescue series, an amazing small town romance!! Vaughn Adams (former military) currently lives in Bali, with his business partner Carlos; they run a surfing and yoga business. Vaughn is contacted by an attorney, that his grandfather may loose the family farm that's been in the family for generations. Vaughn had vowed never to return to the small town of Senoma, after his grandfather disowned him; and he had for twenty years. The thought of loosing the family farm is unthinkable, so here I am at my grandfather's place with a shotgun pointed at me!!! Kate Hawthorne is a medic and starting training to be a firefighter. Gus (Vaughn's grandfather) calls 911 frequently because he is lonely, but won't admit it; he does have medical issues. Kate starts living with Gus to keep an eye on him free of charge; while she starts her fire fighting rookie school. Is Kate after Gus's money? Why did Vaughn get disowned? How does his greeting with the shotgun turn out? How do Vaughn and Kate get along? Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters! I look forward to reading more from Ms. Rae Fields!!!

This was such a fun, emotional small town romance! I loved that the heroine was the firefighter in this story. It was such a refreshing change, and watching Kate work toward her dream while proving herself in a male dominated field made me love her even more.

Vaughn returning home after twenty years because of his grandfather and the family farm created so much tension right from the start. The history between them, the hurt they both carried, and the healing that slowly unfolded gave this story so much heart. I also loved that Kate was caught in the middle as both Vaughn’s love interest and his grandfather’s caregiver, which led to so many emotional moments.

The chemistry between Vaughn and Kate was undeniable from the beginning. Their banter was fun, the romance was sweet and steamy, and I found myself rooting for them through every obstacle. The family dynamics, the sense of community, and the small town setting made the story feel warm and inviting.

If you love small town romances with a determined heroine, a protective hero, family drama, emotional healing, and plenty of spice, I definitely recommend picking this one up. Even though it is part of a series, it works perfectly as a standalone.

Kate and Vaughn have an instant spark from the first time they meet until Vaughn comes face to face with her helping his Grandpa Gus who told him not to come back.

These are three amazing characters who have some healing to do. I was pulled into their journey right from the start and found their story to be sweet and realistic.

There is so much going on in both of their lives and what is going on at the farm. This author does a wonderful job weaving them all together to tell a story full of hope and healing.

The characters are well developed and likeable. I love seeing how their connections to each other have the ability to heal one another.

This story is fun, captivating and laced with some humor. My favorite character is definitely Gus but I love Kate and Vaughn together just as much. I have read other books by this author and she consistently delivers great characters, plenty of fiery romance and a compulsively readable story.

What do you get when you combine one bad@ss woman, a stubborn man, and his equally headstrong grandfather? A recipe for a sweet, small-town story of healing.

Vaughn and his grandfather, Gus, have been on the outs for decades. When Vaughn is forced back home to tend to his grandmother's estate, he finds Gus living with a beautiful caregiver named Kate. Not happy to find a stranger living on his family farm, sparks fly between him and Kate.

Kate--who's training to be a firefighter--is great with sparks. Unless they're the kind that come from being stuck in between two complicated, grumpy men. Kate and Vaughn's love story gains depth--and a surprising twist--as it's told against the backdrop of Vaughn and Gus' struggle to find peace with each other.

This is a satisfying romance with laughter, some tears and a well-deserved HEA.

This is the third book in this impressive series, and this is Vaughn and Kate’s story.
Vaughn left town 20-years ago after his grandfather disowned him, and vowed never to return, while Kate traded caregiver services to a medic patient, which includes a free place to say while during firefighter rookie school. Vaughn returns to town due to the family farm being under threat, and Kate has her work cut out for her to play peacemaker between Vaughn and his grandfather.
This is a well written easy to read story, which has found family, friendships, emotions, forced proximity, challenges, survival, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable, small-town romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Undeniable Love is the third story in the James County Fire Rescue series. It is a small town, firefighter romance.

This was so good!! Kate is such a bad ass medic training to be a firefighter! I LOVED that she was the one training and wanting to be a firefighter. Most books it’s the MMC. This shows that women can do anything a man can do and do it just as well!

Vaughn has carried the burden of his past with him for the last twenty years and the fact that Gus hold a grudge only makes it worse. These two have a history and they have to fight to move past everything.

I loved the growth between all three of these characters and the family that they become! I loved the chemistry between Kate and Vaughn as well! These two were made for each other!

Undeniable Love is a fun, fast-paced small-town romance that pulled me in almost immediately. Vaughn and Kate have fantastic chemistry, and their forced-proximity situation creates plenty of tension, humor, and emotional moments as they navigate living under the same roof while balancing complicated family dynamics.
Kate is a strong, determined heroine chasing her firefighter dreams, and Vaughn is equally compelling—gruff, stubborn, and surprisingly sweet when it matters most. I also really enjoyed Gus, who added warmth and heart to the story. The small-town setting and found-family feel made everything even more engaging.
A sweet and satisfying romance with great characters, emotional depth, and a smile-worthy ending that wraps things up nicely.

I don’t know how I didn’t discover this series sooner! Undeniable Love is an amazing read with found family, healing, forgiveness and a sweet romance.

Vaughn and Kate, I loved these two together. Vaughn is returning home after twenty years after his grandfather kicked him out, so you know there is a lot to unpack there. Kate is living there as a caregiver to his grandfather, Gus, in exchange for free rent while she attends firefighter school.

The characters really make this story. Kate is a strong determine FMC chasing her dreams. Vaughn is grumpy and a little gruff but as time goes by, his sweet side starts to show. Andrew the chemistry between them is off the charts. Add in the banter and sweet moments, this story was everything.

This book hooked me from the start and never once lost me throughout the entire story. It was sweet. It was spicy. It broke me. And it healed me. I went through so many emotions I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel when it was over. Kate is an absolute bad@ss of an FMC. She is so strong and driven and beyond caring. Her heart is so pure. Vaughn is stubborn and grumpy, and absolutely on fire for Kate. Their connection and chemistry feels so genuine and raw and intense. The journey their relationship goes through is endearing and infuriating in equal measure. Seeing the two of them interact and grow together had me swooning and falling madly in love. I was taken on a journey with these two and where we ended up left me so happy. I couldn’t have imagined a better ending for these two.

The small-town setting, found family vibes, and forced proximity made this such an enjoyable read. Gus completely stole so many scenes, and I found myself smiling every time he was involved. He added so much heart to the story.

This book is beautiful and deeply moving; I was completely spellbound! I absolutely adored it and can’t wait to dive into the series from the very beginning. The glimpses into the next couple's story were also a delightful touch.

As the third installment in the series, I approached it as a standalone read. I encountered familiar couples from previous books, and even though they mentioned some details I didn’t know, it didn't take away from my enjoyment of this story.

I am eagerly anticipating the next book in the series—I’m curious and craving more!

Undeniable Love

This story was so amazing! I have loved every book in this series so if you asked me to pick a favorite I would not be able to. There was heartbreak, enemies-to-lovers, family finding each other again, found family, some heart pounding moments and so much love. I can understand Vaughns reluctance but it speaks volumes that he didn't want to hold her back or make her choose. In the end I think she made the right choice. And for Kate, it's so nice that should found a family. They might not be blood but that doesn't matter when it comes to love. I can't wait for Cassidy's story. That ending definitely will have a hold on you.

This book is really well written. It’s prob my favorite ARC I’ve ever read. Kate & Vaughn’s story is absolutely wonderful! The author gets to the point quickly without a lot of unnecessary build up and kept my attention the entire time. She also held back just enough details that I was surprised when certain things were revealed in the story. Definitely recommend for my fellow romance readers! To note, I have not read the first two books in this series but it didn’t matter, it’s a true standalone.

James County Fire Rescue: Vaughn and Kate

A wonderful story of second chances, finding and following your dreams, and coming home.

Kate was such a strong character, and I loved that she was training to be a firefighter… way to represent!
She wasn’t perfect… she was flawed, reactive, carried fears and was such a wonderful person.
Vaughn was a bit difficult. I understood his fears, but his actions… my lord, I was not amused…
It has a wondersul group of secondary characters and the hints were pretty obvious for the next story. Looking forward to it.

Undeniable Love is Vaughn and Kate’s fun and entertaining read. It’s book three in The James County Fire Rescue Series but it’s the first book I have read by this author but that doesn’t mean I didn’t love this well written, small town romance and it won’t be the last book I read by her.
From the moment I picked this book up I was captivated by the characters, their story and this town. The chemistry is sizzling, the banter is witty and the characters are easy to hone with but it was the small town quirky dynamics that took this book to the next level.

A wonderful read that pulls you into the fun, heartwarming, and sweet romance. Vaughn is returning home after 20 years and Kate is helping to care for the grandfather that kicked him out. Vaughn has a lot of emotions to work through and his grumpiness is evident. Kate doesn’t hesitate to push back on the grumpy men she’s surrounded by. She’s strong and determined and has a lot of chemistry with Vaughn. Reading their relationship unfold and working through all the emotional issues well done. Plenty of chemistry, steam, and great banter!
