This was my first vampire cowboy book and I loved it. I loved how Kentucky proves he’s a gentleman through his actions, not words. Because his own choice was taken from him, he deeply respects consent and autonomy, always giving Druscilla control without ever influencing her—something rare in fated mates stories. That mutual respect made their bond feel genuine and powerful. I highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy darker themes paired with a strong, respectful romance—just be sure to check the trigger warnings first.
