Half of our heroes are missing. After a warehouse explosion, Jamie, Buster, Yoshi, Shawna, George, Deck, Max and Alex are presumed dead, leaving a more ruthless and brutal ADVENTURE to hunt down the street gang who was responsible for luring them there. But Steve Adams was in the warehouse, too. And he knows the truth. His brother and friends are not dead. They stepped through a gateway to another world, where they have their own battle to fight. Can the genius figure a way to convince Dave and the others that their friends are alive and that they need to retrieve the two coins that open the portal to bring them home? Gateway to Thera is a recipient of The Reality Calling Christian Redemptive Fiction Award from Radiax Press.
Jeffrey Allen Davis was born on March 2, 1975, in St. Charles, MO.The youngest of three boys, he was sheltered by his loving mother. Instead of going out to parties when he was in high school, he stayed at home and watched 80s ninja movies or played RPGs with his fellow geeks (a term that he uses affectionately). These experiences have found their way into his writing. His first book, "Invasion of the Togakura", was released in 2003 by Publish America. It's sequel, "Klandestine Maneuvers", was published by the same company in 2005. After a five-year hiatus from publishing, Davis founded a new press for his third book, "Lily's Redemption." A rewrite of his first book, retitled "Invasion of the Ninja," was released in 2013.
Davis is a licensed Baptist preacher and lives in the St. Louis area with his wife, daughter and two stepchildren.
By far the best book I've read out of the series thus far! And arguably the most well-written. The plot is very tightly woven; the storyline between the characters on Thera and those remaining on Earth are seamlessly intertwined. Riveting storyline, full of suspense and action! And if you're a sucker for tear-jerkers, keep tissues with you, as the author as an uncanny way of making you feel sad for the fate of incidental characters. An absolute must read for Jeffrey Allen Davis fans and for fans of Christian Fiction literature!
If you like ninjas, fantasy, and teens with good morals, this might be the book for you. I've read books one and two in the series by Davis, and really enjoyed them. Book three did not let me down. This is definitely a good sequel! His characters are well written, and I especially enjoyed the whole story line of this book, being a strong fan of fantasy myself. I especially appreciate the good morals in this story. I'm looking forward to the next one in this series!
I very much enjoyed this sequel. It jumped out of the normal into other worldly places. No spoilers here, but I enjoyed this new direction. Still an uplifting story with good morals that anyone will like. Jeffrey Allen Davis writes with great imagination and kept me turning pages. It is very hard to put down.
