Each Lagrange book is a stand-alone thrill ride. Read this one now and enjoy!
Space pirates are hijacking high-value cargo bound for Lagrange and Nova Terra—clean thefts, no injuries, no evidence trail. And then pilot Moby Navarro turns up dead, killed during a heist in a way that seems deliberate, even personal. Interworld Marshal Cuss Abbott and his partner Ygo catch the case, and they team with Julie Kapoeta, an industrial security expert and friend from Cuss’s past. The investigation is seemingly stalled, and then Cuss is jumped by thugs with a message to back off. He doesn’t, and they attack again, this time putting him in the hospital. Soon after, Moby’s son and daughter-in-law are murdered, and his granddaughter is kidnapped, raising the stakes to a rescue mission. The clock is ticking and Cuss is determined to save the girl. But can he find where they’ve stowed her? And can he get to her before it’s too late?

This book marks the second in what I hope continues as a lengthy series of Lagrange, starting with Lagrange Rising, the series continues with Lagrange Shining. We follow detective Cuss Abbott and his sidekick solving another murder, determined to solve the crime with or without the help of his colleagues, peers, and adversaries.

Many many thanks to the author, Doug Cooper, for the advanced copy! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and look forward to future stores of Cuss and Friends!

I enjoyed this series and how Cuss Abbott and Ygo work so well together. I don't think one of them, alone, would be as effective as a marshal so it is good to see the advancement of their relationship. They are able to bounce ideas off each other as well as the other law enforcement personnel who cross their path. Great teamwork.

These are fun to read.

The way things are going lately, I need some good Escapist literature. And this works marvelously for it. I like the characters, the plots have some inventive elements in them, and the humor is very much appreciated. I need laughter. And the end of this book had me howling. Hopefully there's a book number four.

Fantastic

Such adventures. Hard to fathom that things could go as they did, but when they are this well written it certainly seems like its real. I certainly hope that Mr. Cooper writes more in this wonderful series.

I thought the storyline was meh in this book.
I did however think the description of the infrastructure required to support life on the moon was detailed and very interesting.
