He has also published short stories in various magazines, including "Surf's Up," awarded "Best of Show" in the Residential Aliens flash fiction contest, and "Beyond Horizon's Edge" which took 1st place in the 2009 Preditors & Editors Reader's Poll. He currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two children.
