After being handed a seemingly simple assignment, agent Ted Brooks finds himself in a race against time to stop a high-ranking Soviet spy from infiltrating and destroying the most highly guarded secret in the Manhattan Project. Employing the author’s distinctive style and narrated through Brooks’ imitable voice, White Sands blends romance, action, and suspense—along with a dose of humor—into a story which presents the reader with a new breed of The President’s Agent.
White Sands (The President’s Agent) by Greg Marion
This was an action packed book that kept you guessing. It was hard not to read in one sitting. Because I grew up in this state, I knew a lot about the history of the actual event, even tho I was not born yet. You will not be disappointed in the book!
Although the lead character is a mix of Captain America and Don Rickles, I really enjoyed this easy to read and fun novel. True, there were parts that were over the top but I found it humorous and highly entertaining. If you are looking for accurate history here, look elsewhere. But there is enough of an historical World War 11 context to keep me interested and smiling at the one liners.
WW II spy thriller with some romance and adventure enough to maintain the reader's interest It requires a reader to pay close attention to keep track of what's happening.
