I checked out this book as well as "Top Trails: Shenandoah National Park: Must-Do Hikes for Everyone" from the library to plan a trip to SNP. I honestly didn't like the layout of this book and for that reason, I can't rate it that highly. It had great information and history on the park, but when it came time to research hikes, the way it was organized wasn't very intuitive. I preferred the Top Trails book for that.
