Something terrible has happened. For forty days she was tortured by five men and left for dead--but she will get her revenge on each and every one of them. And it will be bloody. An event that takes her on a strange and violent supernatural path of payback through bizarre encounters with ex-hitmen, sadistic art enthusiasts, and literal devils.
A new dark horror four issue series from the creators of Where Monsters Lie Kyle Starks (Those Not Afraid) and Piotr Kowalski (Let This One Be a Devil) that’s perfect for fans of The Crow, Revenge Horror and violent, well-deserved retribution.
This was a great first issue! Brutal but really good. We see a young woman kidnapped, beat, tortured, and damn near killed. She's on the brink of death before her torturers leave her for dead. We see pretty much all of the pain happening to her. It makes you resent these guys even more than just thinking about it. And you just know she's plotting for revenge. Especially after the cliffhanger. She's ready to hunt them down and kill them. I cannot wait to see that revenge take place! I hope she tortures and kills them in the worst way possible! Good stuff so far.
Kowalski has become one of my top-3 comics artists. That inkwork is to die for; I can hear each scratch of inked nib on paper.
Starks's story is well above average for the genre, and I love a meaty revenge tale. The scene transition style is unexpected, and delightful. Extra kudos to Starks for keeping Tee out from under the stereotype of SA in these kinds of abuse stories.
the violence was very disturbing. i hope she gets those five fuckers good. but after this issue i still have questions. why her? was she a sacrifice? men are awful but why did they do it ? i hope this is not one of those stories where the violence against the woman is immeasurable and then the revenge is lackluster
I freaking love Kyle Starks. This was brutal and I am all here for it. This comic hit deep and is unapologetically real. A must read comic. Kyle Starks never lets me down!
