She calls me her enemy.
I call her my dove.
The family that raised me built empires on blood and silence.
They locked me away to keep me quiet.
But they didn’t count on her.
Vex.
Chaos wrapped in bruises and scars.
My ruin, my religion.
The only one I’ll ever choose.
Inside Ashcroft, I worshiped her with violence.

The Ashcroft’s think they control me.
They’re all about to learn—
she and I don’t just survive.
We destroy.

This is Book Two of Ashcroft Asylum, a continuation of the Shattered Souls series.

Fox is book 2 of Ashcroft Asylum a continuation of the Shattered Souls Series by Stephanie Swann. I have to admit that Stephanie really outdid herself with her Ashcroft duet. Each page that you read just drags you deeper and deeper in and enthralls you. This is such an addictive book and it is so hard to put down to try and sleep at night.

The entire time I was reading this book I felt like I was on a series of roller coasters and I was jumping from one to another and they were taking me on a series of emotional rides through the entire book. Some of the chapters had me laughing, crying, and others just made me want to throw my Kindle at a wall.

I don't really know how I feel about Damien and Morgan Ashcroft. There were so many times that I felt like I hated them, but the more I read, the more I realized that hate isn't a strong enough word to describe how I felt towards them. Damien and Morgan are such loathsome and vomit-inducing men. The kind of men whom I pray I never meet the like of in real life, and yes there as such men in real life.

I really did love seeing Vex and Fox grow so much and in so many different ways in this second book. And what I really loved was seeing their love for each other. It was so apparent and there was nothing that could hide the love between Vex and Fox.

The Asylum Duet is one that Stephanie has truly outdone herself with and I really hope she gets the recognition as an author that she deserves with this duet. Stephanie puts so much emotion, love, and beauty in a stark environment into this book just like she does with each one of her books.

I found Stephanie to be a beautiful and stunning author and she knows exactly how to make all of her readers feel enthralled in her stories.

I am really looking forward to seeing what Stephanie does with the Shattered Souls universe and where she takes the universe from here.

This quickly has become one of my favorite series!

Imagine being put in an asylum by your father, betrayed by your brothers in a sick game to break you.

Two very insane power hungry Dr.s the Ashcroft's who crave experimenting, control and will do anything to get it.

Vex and Fox's story continues - which is so good because Vex ended in a cliffhanger. And I wanted more.

They are put through unspeakable experiments, to break them, use them, control them. What they don't realize is you can't break something that's already broken. And when you put two broken souls together with a common goal REVENGE it becomes chaos a wild unbeatable power house.
And then comes wild, crazy and a lot obsessive kind of love...

They fight to stay alive for each other, knowing they might not make it out.

I fell in love with Fox and Vex their crazy, unhinged love for each other their rage, the way they laugh that crazy wild almost scary laugh when they do something was so satisfying! Because I cheered for them to make it, to get the revenge they deserved, to make those that hurt them pay.

Oh my heck, I can't forget Mara!! She was awesome! The quiet girl who had a way of finding out little things. Who in the end made me smile and even laugh a little.

Stephanie Swann, this was one of the best unhinged stories I've read.
It flowed beautifully and had me hooked from the beginning.
You have quickly become one of my favorite authors

Foxs devotion without fail, even when vex is pushing him away.
This story just draws you in and Stephanie Sean writes some of the best unhinged romances! I was hooked on these books and devoured them! Full of suspense, desire, drama! I 💯 recommend this book!

Ugh I don’t even know where to start….
Steph truly hit this asylum duet out of the park.

Every page pulls you in further.. no matter how hard you try to put the book down for the night.

This book was a rollercoaster of emotions all the way through. There was chapters that made me laugh, some that made me cry and some that made me want to throw my phone.

The hate that I have for Damien and Morgan Ashcroft grew to depths I didn’t realize were even possible. (They are REALLY HORRIBLE, VILE MEN BTW)

Vex and Fox grew in so many ways throughout the second book and their love for each other was truly apparent by the end of the duet.

Stephanie has 1000% outdone herself in every single aspect with the Ashcroft Asylum Duet and she truly deserves so much more recognition as an author.
She writes with so much emotion and so much love put into every single one of her books.

She’s a beautiful author and truly knows how to make her readers feel completely immersed in her stories.

I cannot wait to see where she goes next with the shattered souls universe 🩵

They tried to control the monsters they created, but Fox and Vex were never meant to be controlled and they will destroy anyone who tries. I was not expecting this book to take the turn it did, it’s even darker than the first book and I’m here for it. Sometimes characters have to go through the darkest most painful experiences for them to become even stronger. Fox and Vex go through hell, but they won’t go down without a fight. The true monsters are the ones who created them, prepare for lots of bloodshed and death. Truly enjoyed watching these two getting the vengeance they deserved after all they endured at Ashcroft, they had to fight for their HEA.

I loved Vex and headed straight into Fox with very (perhaps with too high) hopes. I kind of struggled through the first half, it was a HARD to read and it felt more like horror than dark romance. My poor heart had hard time with all the torture Fox and Vex went through. Might be just my mindset and the second reading will be better. The latter half flew by and I'm happy with way theor stroy ended.
I absolutely loved Mara and how she brought some lightheartedness to the story, I'd love read a novella of her backstory.
Overall an enjoyable read when you want something more on the dark than the romance scale!

I could not wait to read this book. This is the second book and the follow up to Vex: Shattered Souls Ashcroft Asylum.

I could not put it down as I had to see what happened next. So many things that Fox and Vex had to go through. Each going through different pains and using each other to get through it.

Fox is the MMC and is intense, electrifying, dynamic and over all a perfect soul mate for Vex. He goes through some horrifying ordeals and I loved seeing him get his revenge.

I loved the pairing of Vex and Fox and have not read a story quite like this. It kept me hooked!.

This sequel hits harder than I expected, and I was already braced after how Vex ended. Fox feels like he ripped his way out of the walls and refused to calm down, which honestly worked for him. The experiments are awful without turning into torture porn, and the way he and Vex cling to each other through it is messy in a good way. Pacing is wild, but it fits the whole survival vibe. I loved how Mara kept sneaking in these tiny glints of humor that made everything feel even darker by contrast. The last stretch finally lets them breathe, but never fully relax, and that tension carried the ending for me.

Story 5 ⭐️
Spice 4.5 🌶️

Fox is a continuation of the story of Fox and Vex (and Mara!) and is in my opinion the better of the two.

The first 2/3 of this book was just insane (pun intended - see story location). So much happened and Fox and Vex had to endure enough to break anyone.

The last 1/3 was fun and Mara showed herself to be the comic relief and a very memorable secondary character. Happy that Fox and Vex and their HEA after everything they went through.

This was a wild ride! Think of a haunted house but with a roller coaster. that's what this book was like. it was dark and twisted, and had you going up Anna down and all over the place. Just when you thought you'd hit the worst part, nope, it got worse. it just kept coming at you. I was at the edge of my seat with this one. it's got so many things going on, you can't just put this book down and walk away. you've got to read this one one sitting because it pulls you in from the first page. so buckle up, because you're in for one Hell of a ride.

Best asylum romance or asylum ANYTHING I’ve ever read, hands down! Brilliant, thrilling, and grips you in a way that has you devouring every page like it holds your next breath. Incredibly vivid detail, enthralling character, and a plot so thick you’ll be stuck like glue till the very end! I’ve been telling everyone I know about this series, and although I’m sure they’re sick of me by now, I know for certain that Vex and Fox will be living rent free in my head for a very long time 🖤

The second book in the Ashcroft Asylum series, Fox is even better than the first book, and the first was really freaking good!! The Ashcroft brothers should be the ones locked in that asylum, unhinged doesn’t touch what they are. Vex and Fox have gone through so much twisted ish, it’s only fair they finally get their HEA! Twisted, dark, unhinged, and spicy.

Vex and Foxs story continues with Foxs devotion to Vex without question, even when she tries to push him away, but the Asylum wont give them up so easily, against his borthers and the Ashcrofts do they stand a chance of freedom? Well written the story draws you in with suspense, desires, drama  twists, dark themes obsession and more.

This is one of my favorite duets, I've read this year. It's absolutely vicious and wrong and I loved every minute of it. Vex & Fox are absolutely ruthless and give no f**ks and that's what makes them wonderfully psychotic MMCs you can't help but love!! Miss Swann you outdid yourself with this duet!!

Was so ready for this after the ending of book one. I loved Cam and Lakey but the way I love Fox and Vex. This was wild and they went through hell. I'm here for their chaos. Seriously if you like enemies to lovers with a bad@ss FMC and a burn the world for her MMC you'll love this. Check TWs cuz they really do go through it. But definitely worth the read.

What. A. Ride. Vex & Fox get put through the ringer on this one!! Make sure to mind the TW first but this one continues their story and the devotion Fox has towards Vex is UNMATCHED!! I really enjoyed this one and the asylum aspect was a new one for me but I loved how it all came together.
