The Longing that Leads to Love

Rate this book
The Longing that Leads to Love is a quick and easy read of thirty original poems about the journey from suffering and heartache to understanding, strength, tenacity, and love in all its forms - love for yourself, love for others, love for the lessons, and even love for the difficult times that helped you become who you are. It is a story about the hurts that have been forced upon us and the mistakes we ourselves have made, and finding the light through every one of those traumas in our determined journey to become better, to become stronger, to give ourselves the love that maybe we were denied by others. It's a story that reminds us that even if we don't have all the kinds of love we want in our lives, the kinds we do have are just as vital and beautiful.

This collection is for anyone who has ever felt lost or alone or wounded. But more importantly, it's a collection for people who want to feel seen, who want to know that they are not alone, who want to grow and feel supported and give themselves all the things they've been understandably seeking from others. Because the love you can give yourself is the strongest kind of love there is, and the kind we all deserve.

Written with heart and grit, each poem is another step in the journey that leads from all the forms of longing in our lives to all the forms of love we wish to and can achieve. It's a collection that moves from darkness to the light, from pain to empowerment, and one that will be there for you in every step of your journey.

Best poetry book I’ve ever read BY FAR!!! If you’re going through a breakup you need to read this! It’s not pretentious and it’s a quick read. The prose is gorgeous without overdoing it and I wish I had read this at any point along my dating career but still got so much out of it.
