But Now I'm Found

Rate this book
They made her a victim. She chose to become a survivor.

Investigative reporter Quinn Campbell escaped the cage they built for her, emerging from the deep north Georgia backwoods beaten, bloodied, and barely alive. But she didn’t come back broken—she came back furious. The people who tried to end her story lit a fire instead, and now she’ll stop at nothing to hunt them all down.

Every lead drags her deeper into a world of violence, lies, and twisted faith. Every step pulls her closer to the ones who want to cleanse her very soul. But Quinn isn’t afraid of them; she’s angry. She’s relentless. And she knows the only way out is to confront her nightmare once more.

BUT NOW I’M FOUND is a razor-edged psychological thriller about what happens when a woman refuses to stay a victim—and turns her own nightmare into someone else’s reckoning.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | BUT NOW I’M FOUND by J.W. Vincent

WOW. Just WOW. After a long time, I finally picked up a book that actually terrified me and kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. BUT NOW I’M FOUND is an absolutely gruesome, chilling, and heart-pounding serial killer thriller that will haunt you long after you turn the last page.

Quinn Campbell is not just a survivor—she’s a fury-fueled force of nature. Escaping a nightmare that would break most people, she comes back bloodied, angry, and unstoppable. Every twist pulls you deeper into a world of violence, lies, and twisted faith, and the tension never lets up.

The story is fast-paced, intense, and absolutely page-turning. Safe houses, military ops, chases, guns, murders—you name it, it’s all there, and it’s terrifyingly real. The serial killer gang is horrifyingly clever, highly equipped, and utterly ruthless, convinced their killings are holy acts for God. And Custer… well, the “most terrifying villain ever” award goes to him.

I loved Quinn and Tommy Barton, but Anderson stole my heart—my personal James Bond 😁. And hats off to J.W. Vincent for a mind-blowing debut that can easily compete with the biggest names in crime thrillers.

If you love crime, suspense, serial killers, and stories that grip you until your heart races, this book is an absolute MUST-READ. I dare you to start it… but be ready, because it will haunt you.

This story was intense. Dark, gory, and absolutely fueled by vengeance — the found family elements and raw emotion hit so hard. Quinn was such a badass lead, the kind of character you root for from page one. She’s scarred, angry, and relentless — the perfect mix of survivor and storm.

The only reason it's not a full 5 stars for me was because there was a lot of extra dialogue that didn’t feel needed and kind of dragged the pacing a bit for me. It’s one of those stories that could’ve been even sharper if trimmed down a little.

But overall? A wild, brutal ride with heart, grit, and just the right touch of dark humor (because yes — laughing in the face of trauma is a coping mechanism 💀).

Investigative reporter Quinn Campbell escapes from the deep backwoods of north Georgia, beaten, bloodied, and barely alive. But she doesn’t come back broken — she comes back furious. The people who tried to destroy her story just made her more dangerous. Now she’s on a mission for answers… and revenge.

Every lead drags her deeper into a world of violence, lies, and twisted faith. Every step pulls her closer to the ones who think they can “cleanse” her soul — but Quinn isn’t afraid of them. She’s angry, relentless, and she knows the only way out is to face her nightmare head-on.

4 stars for the story, a brisk, grim, suspense thriller in which several people are tortured and/or killed. 4 stars for strong plot and pacing, an engaging protagonist, and other well-drawn characters. The author’s experience in TV journalism is effectively applied. Minus star for some writing and style issues, including excessive adverbs (“literally” for a situation that is figurative; “quickly” to describe “whisk,” which already implies quickness; “completely scrub”—in a situation where it’s unlikely that the actors would scrub incompletely, etc.), and using “lay” for “lie” in narration that’s not dialogue or first person POV. I know this first-time author worked hard on his book and got a lot of feedback and advice, but the MS could have used just a bit more editing. I’d still read another Quinn Campbell novel, so keep writing, Mr. Vincent.

A very intense and gripping story, right from the start until the very end.

We follow the events through Quinn’s eyes, a very ambitious reporter. Raw emotions, conflict and guilt but also hope and bravery are strongly represented during the story.

Also the part of the villain is neatly worked out.

This book read as a high speed train and is an absolute page turner. It felt good to read a good thriller with a strong background story!

A must read!.

But Now I’m Found is a haunting thriller that sticks with you—one of those premises that is out there and intense but also kind of on the cusp of something that could possibly happen, which makes it even scarier.

The main character adds a lot of humor and brevity, even to dire moments, which can sometimes be a bit annoying, but she owns it. The plot moves fast most of the time. There are a few stalls but they are warranted.

Definitely an exciting read!.

Intense suspense, full of action from the first page to the last

The reviews were correct that this author has delivered a five star read for everyone. The imagination and details are vivid on every page and you need to have time to finish this book in one session. If you stop, the story stays up front and present while trying ti.do other things. Well done J.W., you did it! Can't wait for your next book!

Wow, I couldn't put this book down and finished it in two days! It is a suspenseful, fast moving page turner with a villain to rival Charles Manson and heroine as strong and determined as Stephen King's Holly or Sue Grafton's Kinsey Millhone . I really enjoyed the book and can't wait until the author finishes another one! Quinn is someone I would like to get to know a lot better!

As cooler Fall mornings roll in I love a good thriller, and this fit the bill perfectly. The edge-of-your-seat pace and insightful character development had me hooked. J.W. Vincent definitely doesn't pull many punches in this fantastic debut novel. Can't wait to read more!

A great psychological thriller, Quinn beaten and left for dead can't be kept down. She keeps on digging to the very end. Well written, a few triggers though.
