Quinn Lee is a walking disaster with perfect hair, zero filter, and an alarming caffeine addiction who’s just ploughed her life savings into rescuing her family’s failing Christmas tree farm. She’s got one shot to pull off a Christmas miracle, so when an important promotional cookie order goes wrong, it understandably leads to a spectacular meltdown in front of cute-as-a-button bakery owner, Zoey.

Zoey bakes like an angel, thinks “drat” is a swear word, and is wholly unprepared for the opinionated, red-headed hurricane who storms into her shop competing for “world’s worst customer”. But she’s equally unprepared to discover that you don’t have to like someone to find them irresistible.

When both their businesses are threatened, a reluctant partnership becomes their only solution. But somewhere between Zoey’s killer dance moves and Quinn’s Chuck Norris puns, incompatible starts looking a lot like inevitable. As Christmas approaches, can these polar opposites navigate unexpected feelings, and the terrifying possibility that sometimes the person you clash with most is exactly the one you need?

The perfect queer romance for fans of Alexandria Bellefleur and Casey McQuiston who crave a side of holiday magic, small-town charm, and enough steam to melt even the biggest snowstorm.

happy pub day to the cutest book 💞

could NOT think of a better way to have started off sapphic september! 🥹🧡 hawkins is very quickly becoming one of my favorite sapphic writers- her previous release was so stinking cute i read it in one sitting and this was no different! the one night stand girly meeting the i’m yearning for true love girly is one of my favorite tropes and it was yet again utilized SO WELL here (also the perfect book to start off the ‘ber months!!) and who doesn’t want to read about falling in love at a christmas tree farm??

thank you to netgalley and storm for the arc!!

This book was very good.

It took me forever to get out of my reading slump and start this one, but honestly, it was worth it.

Zoey and Quinn are really cute together. Their relationship had a rocky start, but it ended in the best way.

This was my first time reading this author, but I’ll definitely check out the rest of their work that’s been sitting on my TBR for a while. The writing was very solid and easy to understand, especially for non-native English speakers.

I also loved the Christmas vibes. Sure, it’s still October and a bit early, but it’s never too soon for a little Christmas magic.

Overall, if you want a cute love story between a baker and a shop owner, filled with sweet side characters and a lovely Christmas atmosphere, this one is perfect for you.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for providing me with an ARC copy in exchange of an honest opinion

Sapphic Christmas romance? I’m here for it.

Perfect if you love:
-Grumpy x sunshine
- Sapphic Romance
- Small town romance
- Christmas vibes

Christmas hating, anti-relationship Quinn has just returned to Minnesota. Since she has arrived, she’s been urged to meet the happy-go-lucky bakery owner- Zoey.
Zoey is Quinns opposite. She is a sweet, innocent people-pleaser, and the two don’t exactly hit it off.
However, when disasters strike both of their businesses, they must work together to save them. In the process they may even get more than one Christmas miracle.

This was cute!
I am starting to think Dana Hawkins may be the sapphic romance expert.

This story has characters from her previous novel “The Ex Effect”- which I also loved!
I defienltey think that is a win!
This does act as a standalone though, so even if you have not read that one, you can still read this one without any problems.

I love the opposites attract/ grumpy x sunshine dynamic here.
Though, i would not consider Quinn to be that grumpy once the story actually progresses. She just has a rough start.

I really liked the romance in this.
Both women made themselves very vulnerable, and stepped out of their comfort zones and took a chance on each other.
That is so special.

Overall, pretty great!
It’s quick, it’s cute, its seasonal… Whats not to love?

Thank you to Netgalley, Storm Publishing and author Dana Hawkins for providing me with the eARC of “Any Girl but You”, in exchange for my honest review!

Well, well, well... I know it's not even fall yet, but I can always read Christmas books. Even at the beach! “Any girl but you” with its cute cover, was my first Christmas book this year, and I wish I had read it more slowly and not within 24 hours. Then I could have enjoyed this book even longer!!

I enjoyed every second of this cozy and wholesome Christmas book! The story of baker Zoey and Christmas tree farm owner Quinn Lee was incredibly sweet. I loved the energy of this story. The vulnerability and the courage to show it to each other. Oh, I'm just head over heels for these two. Quinn and Zoey were so great, and I can't say which one I liked more. You just have to love Zoey, there's no other way. And the chaos in Quinn's head was so amusing that I often had to laugh out loud. The attraction that lasted weeks/months was difficult for me. I'm not that patient, haha! A delicious slow burn that is worth waiting for. And finally, a romance without a third act breakup! Yay!

The small-town feeling and the community coming together when someone needs help was also wonderful. And then there was the Christmas spirit and the famous Christmas miracle—just perfect!

This is the second book in Dana Hawkins' new series. I read the first one, but no prior knowledge is required to enjoy this book. I must admit, however, that I had some issues with the characters in the first book, who also appear in this story. But here, I really liked them. The interactions between Frankie and Quinn were hilarious and endearing at the same time. I also found Morgan much more human and likable here.

Highly recommended if you love Christmas books with big emotions and a great message!

So... and now... is it Christmas already?

I have had the privilege to receive an ARC copy of every Dana Hawkins novel to date and it has been a delight to see them consistently improve in quality with each release. They were a good author to begin with, but if this pace somehow stays consistent then eventually they will be the greatest author alive, which is certainly interesting, hah. You can probably guess that I am going to say that I liked this novel a lot.

There was a lot packed into this novel, and it was well balanced without feeling cluttered. Obviously this is a romance, but there was also an enjoyable plotline and some very satisfying character arcs for our protagonists (particularly Quinn). This was an excellent Christmas-adjacent novel but it wasn’t too steeped in the season that you wouldn’t be able to enjoy it year-round.

Rating: A/5-Stars

Highlights:
-Great representation for a character dealing with workplace PTSD. There is definitely a stigma out there that PTSD is just for war veterans and comes in a single size, but that’s simply not the case. Representation helps lead us to a kinder world.
-I loved the initial conflict and its speedy resolution. Fun drama, none of the pointless drag-out. Got the novel started with a kick.
-This author made me laugh with CHUCK NORRIS jokes?? In 2025? Bravo.
-There was a lot of humor all throughout and it certainly made me chuckle.
-Zoey. Just Zoey; I love her.
-The mystery letters. The end of Zoey’s previous relationship. I LOVE a great mystery hook that makes me want to read on for the big reveal and this got me HOOKED.
-The protagonists were definitely incompatible at the beginning of the novel. I like how it didn’t feel forced or convoluted, but just two self-aware people who realize they wouldn’t work together.
-I also loved how the resolution took some time and felt earned. Satisfying balance of conflict and solution.
-There was some excellent communication displayed throughout this novel. Yay! ALSO somehow some silly miscommunication thrown in there for flavor that was thankfully not annoying.
-There were a lot of very heartwarming moments. Zoey’s family, Frankie, some excellent friends. I love it when a novel comes packaged with a warm hug.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for providing a free ARC. This honest review was left voluntarily.

To Quinn Lee, Christmas isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, and she doesn’t enjoy the holiday season. All the noise, overcrowded stores, and Mariah following you at every corner. So why, for all things that are merry and bright, did she buy a Christmas Tree Farm? Not a fudging clue! Maybe she can finally meet Zoey, the bakery owner her sister keeps pushing her to meet. The good news is that she does, but the bad news is it wasn’t good. Zoey is sweet and gets along with just about everyone…except Quinn. When catastrophe unfolds, the two team up for the sake of their businesses. Well, that's how it starts, but now they can't stop thinking about each other.

A heartwarming and cozy holiday romance! Reading this was like a much-needed hug after a hard day and I needed that hug. The meet-cute was like making a snow angel with a beautiful woman, but then having her all of a sudden throw a snowball at your face. Okay, so maybe not a great experience, but it would make for a funny story! Quinn and Zoey were adorable and, despite being opposites, they just clicked. Zoey wasn’t one to use explicit language while Quinn had zero filter. Zoey was looking for a long-term relationship while Quinn was the ‘for one-night, not for life’ type. Just give them some time because it was a slow burn, but you’ll be glad that you waited. One of my favorite things was that they built a friendship before turning up the romance, and it just made things better. I had some laughs, I may or may not have cried, and I just loved it. A sapphic Christmas romance you won’t want to miss, and I recommend it! Merry reading!

I’d like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.

This was a fun sapphic book to read to get into the Christmas spirit even if it’s not during the Christmas season! It was so cute how Quinn and Zoey were complete opposites but were still attracted to each other even after the altercation they had the first time meeting. They both had great character growth. The development of their feelings towards each other along with them getting to know each other more and more throughout the story was beautiful.

The combination of more tell than show and the excessive dialogue with dialogue being on almost every page made it difficult to fully get to enjoy the story itself. The thing that was holding Quinn back from perusing a relationship with Zoey was wrapped up too quickly from one day to the next. Other than that I loved the story.

The setting is small town America in the months before Christmas.

Quinn has moved from NY and now owns a Christmas tree farm, she is a bit stressed and a perfectionist.

Zoey is a local bakery owner, recovering from heartbreak and self proclaimed people pleaser.

Queue frustrations..the first meet cute 'cookie conflict' doesn't go too well. Add to that
Quinn only does hook-ups while Zoey wants a soulmate!
Then several chapters of growing hot chemistry and miscommunications.
Zoey's ex then arrives back in town.
Finally they 'communicate' together.

Slow burn, minimal drama, spicy and cosy festive romance.

This book is the second instalment in the Meet Cute in Minnesota series. While you could read this as a stand-alone, I would suggest reading The Ex Effect (book 1) before reading this one. It’ll just give you some more in depth info about the very prominent secondary characters in this book, and some good background into our mains.

Our mains are cute, the story is fun and well suited for the time of year (Christmas period, if the cover didn’t hint at it enough). It’s very low angst, which is just what I was looking for. Just some inner turmoil, but nothing too bad.

I would say a perfect read for the season!

Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for allowing me the opportunity to review Any Girl But You by Dana Hawkins.

This was a sweet, funny, and cozy sapphic romance set around the holidays and it was amazing. I absolutely loved these characters and seeing them navigate how to be friends when being in a relationship just wasn’t possible. When one person lives for monogamy and the other prefers the revolving door of experiences, they just aren’t compatible. But Zoey and Quinn can’t seem to stay apart.

The town in Minnesota is a perfect little Hallmark town where everyone is family and you are never on your own and it just feels like stepping into a magical holiday wonderland.

This story had just the right amount of tension and conflict to keep it moving and the slow burn romance really tugs at your heart. If you’re looking for a sweet story of love and personal growth, this is for you!

3.5 ⭐️- goodreads seriously needs to give us the ability to do half stars.

I absolutely loved that Quinn was unapologetically who she is. I think she introduced herself in a really strong way and not only did Zoey respect that but she didn't ask her to change. Neither of them ever asked the other to change. They certainly thought it and wished for it, but respected each other's choices. I think that's really what sealed the deal for me on their love. As Quinn started to really realize her feelings it felt more authentic, it was her growing and realizing she wanted something different. That, to me, is infinitely better than her being asked to change to be with Zoey.

Zoey and Quinn repeatedly showing up for each other without expectations of reciprocation made my heart so warm. I love the sense of community that this town has and the way they banded together to help Quinn at the end. I was definitely panicked when I got about 80% done and realized that even though everyone was happy, there were more pages. The ending was definitely worth it and I love them together. I can't wait for the next book, and I really hope we can get Frankie and Morgan's story one day.

Any Girl But You was cosy, sweet and light-hearted easy read that is just the perfect amount of Christmas without the cheese factor.

I adore Quinn - she gave me some absolute laugh out loud moments and was just so likeable. The tropes listed grumpy x sunshine but honestly I didn’t find Quinn all that grumpy once we moved past the bakery incident!

Zoey is a sweet, quietly confident, positive woman bouncing back after heartbreak. Both incredibly smart, genuine women who are healing and feeling everything in this small town, sapphic Christmas feel-good storyline.

My heart did plummet a little when I started to smell a miscommunication trope but thankfully it was rectified and didn’t develop into anything distracting from the plot line.

It had a perfectly acceptable and appealing amount of spice - nothing too out of the ordinary - I did get a chuckle at “dragonfruit” 🫣😂

I loved the side characters of Frankie and Morgan - I’m also hopeful there may just be a story in the pipeline for a possible ‘Josie, Colby and Kona’ fairytale *fingers crossed!*

Would absolutely recommend Any Girl But You and look forward to reading more by Dana Hawkins.

If you are in the mood for a slow burn, spicy, Sapphic romance with a side helping of holiday cheer than this second book in a series might be the one for you!

Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this book which I am giving 3⭐️.

I did not get on well with the first book in this series (The Ex Effect) but was quite pleased that this book had much better FMC’s this time around. It definitely helps to have all the requisite Hallmark style holiday elements.

A baker who is still recovering from their ex✅
A former NYC executive assistant who returns home after burning out and hopes to restore an elderly relatives Christmas tree farm✅
Forced Proximity✅
An adorable child who isn’t in the book too much to take away from the romance✅
Pesky wildlife animals causing troubles✅

In general I thought this book was a good diversion, fun for the holidays and a big step up from the previous book!

Solid 2.5 star book for me.

There wasn't much of a plot, and the "reluctant partnership" mentioned in the summary is barely reluctant and the problem that caused the partnership was resolved in like two chapters. Which is fine, but just not really how the book was described.

Also, the "opposites attract"/"incompatibility" was simply that one of them was a self-described 'fuckboi' who slept around and didn't do relationships and the other loved the idea of a relationship while having only been in two relationships. Personality wise, they weren't incompatible at all. Truly not real opposites attract. There was also no real understanding of why Quinn decided this relationship was worth it for her, personally. Quinn decided that after years of not doing relationships, she actually did have feelings and would try and pursue them.

Off of that, I didn't really feel like either character actually had feelings for the other. The author kept telling me they did, but I didn't feel it.

Sorry that Zoey broke her foot prior to the events in this book, but the amount of times we talked about her foot was genuinely disconcerting. Maybe if you have a foot fetish, this would be a great romance for you. Unfortunately for me, it almost caused me to DNF.

Also, I need to know who in the world is buying wooden crafts painted by children at this Christmas Tree Farm, because that cannot be a good product to hang your finances on.

On the positive side, big fan of the fact that there was no third act breakup.

Not just a romance book.

This story spoke true to me on so many levels. It's oftentimes mistook as normalcy the stress and burden of working under an abusive boss. Dana Hawkins did a good job of shedding a light in prolonged trauma. I immensely appreciated the seeking help part if the story.

All in all, the story of Zoey and Quinn is just the warm embrace you need on a winter day. The slow burn of their romance was delicious and the spice was hotttt!! The way both if them struggled with things if the past and worked through them made this story the perfect recipe of a holiday romance. This and all the movie references, because hello!

Will definitely read more from Dana Hawkins!

What a cute and cozy Christmas romance! I loved the cast of characters, and the way they all showed up for each other. Seeing Zoey and Quinn falling in love was super sweet and I loved that they built their friendship first. I especially liked that we got to see some of their relationship after they get together as well. Also, finally a romance with no third act breakup! Really enjoyable, quick and cozy read, perfect for fans of low angst sapphic romance. 4.7/5 stars!

This Christmas themed books starts with this statement from Quinn: “I am totally convinced nobody actually likes Christmas” and you know it will be a lot of fun to convince the grumpy Quinn about the opposite. This is easily the best book I have read written by this author so I highly recommend it.

Quinn has just like her older sister Frankie (The Ex Effect) left the stress in New York for a calmer life in their old hometown Spring Harbor. She bought a Christmas tree farm from her aunt and uncle and so much to fix there before opening and regarding her own life. Very soon clear that Frankie and her girlfriend Morgan try to set up Quinn with Zoey, the baker, to make sure she is settling down, but she is doing everything to avoid that plan. Quinn is the typical fuckboi, never more than two servings with a woman, so no way she wants to settle down, a relationship not even vaguely on her agenda.

Zoe is the opposite of Quinn regarding relationships. She dated Josie for ten years and was so deeply hurt when Josie, who she thought was the one, broke up with her two years earlier. It has taken time to get over that, but she is looking for a life partner, a soulmate so casual is not for her.

Quinn and Zoey meet, and they clash over a misunderstanding about cookies. They soon realize it was all a misunderstanding, and they start over as friends. They also really think the other person is so hot, but they can never work as anything else but friends since their view on relationships differ so much, Quinn doesn’t think she is good enough for Zoey and Zoey doesn’t think Quinn wants more than a casual hook up ever.

It is amazing to read about how they get to know each other and struggle with their feelings. They both evolve as persons in the process, and you just sit and want them to get their HEA and that Quinn will finally realize that Christmas is something amazing. The Cusacking moment – vow!

Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the opportunity to read this ARC! All opinions are my own.

Festive, warm, and oh so romantic, Any Girl But You tells the story of Quinn, a self-proclaimed disaster that has left her hectic life in New York to reopen her family’s Christmas tree farm in her Minnesota hometown. Quinn is unapologetically herself, loud with no filter and a penchant for one night stands. After a not so ideal run-in with Zoey, the towns sweet as can be baker, Quinn’s ideas of love and relationships slowly start to change. When disasters threaten both of their businesses, can Quinn and Zoey keep their livelihoods going - and maybe find love along the way?

What a sweet and fun holiday romance! I loved the way that Dana Hawkins paints Quinn and Zoey as total opposites, but in reality, Quinn is as type A as Zoey seems, and Zoey knows how to let loose as well as Quinn does. Their friendship started out so rocky, but I really enjoyed seeing them slowly develop feelings for each other as they worked together to get the Christmas tree farm ready and save Zoey’s bakery.

One of my favorite parts of the story was the found family! Quinn and her sister Frankie did not have the best relationship with their parents growing up, and it was wonderful to see Quinn be welcomed in by Zoey’s parents. Zoey really faced a lot of loneliness after her breakup with her longterm girlfriend, and I loved the relationship she formed with Frankie and Morgan.

If you’re looking for a cozy and sweet holiday romance, definitely check out Any Girl But You on October 14!

Quinn and Zoey were definitely opposites at the beginning. Quinn didn’t think twice about speaking her mind about the mistake in the order and Zoey struggled with conflict and how to face it. Even if there was initial attraction, I liked that both characters were very secure in what they wanted out of relationships and that there was no judgement between them:”You’re not boring and I’m not a ho and that’s that.”, but they also considered the possibility of looking at it from the others point of view, Quinn having a steady relationship with Zoey and Zoey trying to have a one night stand, even if it was shot down five seconds later. There was definitely a lot of chemistry between them from the get go and the slow burn was delicious. They really got to know everything about each other and became best friends before moving on to more, and those are the best relationships. I loved their family dynamics. Even if Quinn and Frankie’s parents are absent, they have each other and Morgan and Zoey’s family appears to be close knit, as well as the entire town.

I wonder what happens with Colby and her dog, she seems to be a prominent character.

The plot and pacing was perfect. I simply could not put the book down until I finished it and I still wanted more. Overall, I loved the book, adorable and cozy, perfect for the holiday season. Reading anything by Dana Hawkins is always a pleasure, auto-buy author now and forever.

In ANY GIRL BUT YOU, Dana Hawkins returns us to the delightful small-town Minnesota world she’s created for her latest sapphic rom-com. And to make things even better, this one is a Christmas story, too!

As usual, Hawkins introduces us to two lovable, compelling characters who are destined to fall in love—but we aren’t sure how they’re going to get there. In ANY GIRL BUT YOU, those lovebirds are Quinn, a free spirit who recently moved back to Spring Harbors, Minn. to run a family tree farm, and Zoey, the hometown owner of Spring Harbors’ popular bakery.

Quinn and Zoey seemingly couldn’t be more different. Zoey is a sensitive soul still healing from a break-up with her ex-girlfriend. True love is what she’s looking for. Quinn, on the other hand, has never been in a committed relationship—and doesn’t want to be. The two have an awkward (but charming!) encounter at the bakery and we’re like, “How are these two ever going to get together?”

Well, that’s not my story to tell, Dear Reader! But believe me, you’ll enjoy every page-turning chapter. And no spoilers, but the ending of this novel had me feeling the Christmas spirit! The spirit of caring and kindness weaves its way through the book, and I am here for it.

The real joy is in how Hawkins tells this story. She gets us deep inside Quinn and Zoey’s heads and shows us all the jumbled and so relatable emotions they experience. And you would expect from one of Hawkins’ novels, the sensory details are exquisite. She makes you feel like you are right there, shaking off the snowy Minnesota cold to savor a cupcake from Zoey’s bakery. Any writer could learn something about scene-setting from this book.

ANY GIRL BUT YOU is a joy to read during the holidays—or any time of year!

A super sweet, festive rom-com that’s wholesome and calming to listen to, with a touch of 🔥🌶 thrown in!

The story follows the immersive, humorous dual perspectives of Quinn and Zoey. Quinn, who comes across as a bit of a Scrooge despite running a Christmas tree farm, has moved from New York to Minnesota for a fresh start 🎄

Zoey, a hopeless romantic, is an incredibly sweet baker recovering from a broken heart, determined to grow and finally stand up for her own needs 🍪

The pair feel an instant attraction, but the romance itself is a slow burn 🔥 We watch these opposites draw closer as they shift from friends to lovers. Their forced proximity while working together during the festive season highlights their natural chemistry, especially as they pull together in a crisis.

The author builds lovely tension around the question: should they stay friends, or become something more? They have different priorities and are protective of their emotions - but when someone makes you swoon, communicates well, and “amplifies happiness”, how can you resist? C’mon, Quinn and Zoey 🫶

They’re sweet, gorgeous, and utterly easy to root for - two fools delightfully falling in love over the holidays ❤️

Any Girl But You is a delightful and low angst follow up to The Ex Effect and it’s the perfect way to get into holiday season early! This time we follow Quinn (Frankie’s sister) who left the stress of her New York life behind to come back and run her family’s Christmas tree and Zoey, the cute and quirky bakery owner who everyone adores.

Quinn had always sworn off relationships and after a bad breakup, Zoey was still open to love and had never given up on the hope that her perfect person is out there. After a poor first introduction involving the wrong Christmas cookies for a Christmas event, both women develop an unlikely but special bond and along the way they realize that maybe their ideas of what they were looking for were changing, and maybe bringing them even closer together, but at what cost?

This is a low angst sapphic romance with a lot of heart and two very likeable main characters. It’s a light and quick read that’ll have you feeling very festive and maybe even a little hungry for some Christmas cookies. For me personally, I like a bit more angst in my romance novels which is why I only gave it a 3/5 stars but this could be the perfect book for someone who enjoys a sweet sapphic romance without a ton of drama.

Any Girl But You comes out on October 14th and I would like to thank NetGalley, Storm Publishing and the author for this ARC!

I would recommend this if you enjoy:
- LGBTQIA+ romances
- Small town romances
- Friends to lovers
- Slow burn-ish
- Cozy Christmas vibes
- Spicy scenes

Thank you for the ARC Netgalley & Storm Publishing. All opinions are my own.

This book follows Quinn, a Christmas Tree farm owner, and Zoey, a bakery owner, who meet when Quinn returns to town with her sister Frankie. The pair get nudged together by Morgan and Frankie (the FMCs from book one) as they think they're well suited but they don't really interact until Quinn picks up cookies from Zoey's bakery.

I enjoyed this book a lot more than book one "The Ex Effect" as I felt the characters actually had chemistry and the tension between them was excellent. I liked that they built a friendship first and they got to know one another that way before the romance began. It was so sweet and the moments made me smile.

The characters were each going through things but they helped and complimented one another well, despite getting off to a rocky start. Zoey is compared to Zooey Deschanel and 'New Girl' is referenced and I love that show so I didn't mind the mention. It did actually help me picture Zoey in my mind and even though she was a shyer person than Quinn, she knew what she wanted and I liked that about her. I felt similarly about Quinn who was apprehensive about forming a connection but knew to not let it go when she had it.

I like how both the town and the characters are confident and accepting of their sexualities. It's refreshing and I liked the community. They feel like a warm beverage which added to the cozy Christmas vibes of this book.

I noticed in the previous book and this one that the author doesn't include an abundance of spicy scenes and prioritises the organic growth of the couple's relationship through gestures and communication and I highly appreciate that. It made me root for the pair more and I like the way the author wrote the romance.

Overall, I would recommend this book because the couple became a favourite in this series and I enjoyed the author's writing style. I would definitely pick up another of their books.

Dana did it again! Another amazing book. She writes such cosy romances with such depth! The characters are always amazing and have their own issues (that aren’t being queer!).
Zoey is the sweetest human, her being a baker is so fitting! The girl doesn’t even swear (curse) she’s that sweet!!
And Quinn, is the complete opposite 🤣 these two truly fit the “Opposites Attract” trope!

This book is written in First Person with 2x POV’s. Narrated by Katie Beudert. Book Two in the Meet Cute in Minnesota series. Christmas/Holiday Romance, Small Town, Femme/Femme, Opposites Attract, Slow Burn. 1x Spicy Scene.

I really liked this one. Total Hallmark vibes and very predictable, but honestly that’s part of why I loved it.

I’ll admit, I was a bit nervous about how Quinn and Zoe first met and it gave me a bit of the ick at first. Once I got past that, though, I was fully into it and really enjoyed where the story went.

I did wish there were more spicy scenes. It kind of sat in that middle ground where it was almost there with the details and then leaned more closed-door. That said, I was still happy with the story overall and it didn’t take away from my enjoyment.

Such a cozy, feel-good sapphic read.

Any Girl But You

This is officially my FAVORITE "opposites attract" romance! I mean Quinn and Zoey are the epitome of opposites. And yes, their start was rough, but they turned it into a friendship that was super sweet and really cute. Especially because they both really wanted each other. Each of them had some challenges thrown their way, but the other was always there to help. I enjoyed watching their feelings for each other unravel. Absolutely loved it!

This was such a fun and quick read! What’s not to love about a cozy small-town sapphic Christmas romance? From the very first meeting, it’s clear Quinn and Zoey couldn’t be more different, but when circumstances throw them together, the sparks are undeniable. It turns out sometimes opposites really do attract.
