I kissed my family’s enemy under the stars. Now he’s back, shirtless, broody, and still off-limits.
Weston McLeod was my first kiss. My first heartbreak. And the one boy I was never supposed to want.
Our families have hated each other for generations. I left Wild Creek for Stanford, and I swore I’d never look back. But when Weston’s bull ride ends in disaster, I’m the one he calls for—his “Angel.”
I should stay away. He’s a grumpy, reckless cowboy with a bruised body and a wounded pride. But then he shows me the tattoo on his arm—an angel, for me.
Every glance sparks old memories. Every fight feels like foreplay. And when he punches my ex for humiliating me in front of the entire town, I can’t deny it anymore.
I still want him. Even if he’s dangerous. Even if he’s forbidden.
But wanting Weston means risking my career, my family’s legacy, and the fragile truce holding Wild Creek together. Because if I choose him this time… I could lose everything.
I am so happy to have discovered both this author and this series. The stories are breathtaking and heartfelt ♥️ I loved Savvy and Wes' story. The enduring love that never died stole my heart. Loveable characters that capture you immediately. The scenery, the side characters. Just everything For lovers of Lyla Sage and Elsie Silver, these books will make you swoon. Already downloaded book3, Tess and Levy
I might love it more than the first in this series. This series was a surprise and a gift, and each book is better than the last. To create a world, a whole life, relationship, with a back story and future, and significant character base and development is truly stellar writing.
Weston was a man who knew what he wanted and wouldn't give up. He knew who he love and what she needed. Literally always sign me up for a man who is the epitome of "if he wanted to he would" and then DID. and will forever if it makes you happy. Savannah was such a breath of fresh air; it'd hard to put into words how real she felt. Above and beyond the story of this series and the outgrowth of this interconnection of family - both blood and found, I think what love most is phrasing and expression of each distinct character. it just scratches an itch in my brain... minor spoiler but it's so beautiful:
Savannah's narrative: "My heart swelled as I looked into his eyes. those gorgeous dark blue eyes. I'd spent countless hours of my life gazing into. countless hours missing. and I suddenly realized I didn't have to keep missing them. he was right here, waiting for me to catch up... So I kissed him. I kissed him in front of our families in the parking lot of the bull pen like my life depended on it. And just like every other time I kissed him, my mind when blissfully silent. The only thing left was him, and the way I loved him with every piece of me."

After book one made me cry (a lot), book two has made me smile so much, smile at the crazy comments, the banter, the love, the way Weston and Savannah understand each other, and the way hope shone, even when things were uncertain and scary. The love these two had for one another had endured through the years and it took one of them to be brave enough to say it out loud for the other to come to the same realisation.
"...the love of a woman who sees you, sees all of you, is worth more than any buckle you could win."
Seeing how close this found/chosen family were has made me happy, and I needed to feel somw happy today. Once I started reading this I became lost in the story and lived the highs and lows with them, I loved the romance, the standing together to fight for their future, the support they got along the way and I cannot wait to read book 3 now.

[4.75🌟] I loved loved loved this book. It hooked me from the very beginning and kept me fully entertained the whole time. It was very emotional too. I shed more than a few tears in several scenes.
Weston is the ultimate golden retriever 🩵. His family story really got to me, and I adored him so much. Savannah was a good character overall, but I’m not gonna lie, her insecurity with Weston annoyed me a bit (a lot😬) I feel like she brushed him off more than once, and knowing everything he’d been through, he really didn’t deserve that. The friend group is one of my favorite parts of the whole series. Every interaction is gold. ✨ The only thing I’d change is that I wish there had been an epilogue of them as a couple (a few years later).
Highly recommend this book. I’m excited to read Tess’s story next and super intrigued by Emmett too.🩵
This is a heartwarming first love romance read that makes you remember your first love and kiss. Weston and Savannah go separate ways, but when Weston gets hurt, he turns to Savannah, and she comes back home to help him. This is a really really good second chance romance read that I fell in love with reading.
Savannah and Weston story was everything. I enjoyed this story so much. All the feels the good and the bad. These two were absolutely incredible. The family dynamic between these two brings a smile to my face. The love this two have shared and finally letting themselves be together was absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to go back to this incredible place.
I enjoyed entwined hearts and was Weston and Savannah’s story. It was an engaging read. Really like this series so far. I received an early copy. And voluntarily leaving this review.
I feel really bad giving this a low rating but I don’t think I’ve ever been more confused reading a book. Not a single character or relationship was introduced.
