The Prince of Death and Darkness

Rate this book
Three friends torn apart.
Two brothers out for blood.
One love chosen by fate.

A bloody coup leaves the kingdom of Friese split in half, with Arturian Exley and Levick Roale on opposite sides. Despite his newfound power, Arturian’s grief and hunger for vengeance threaten to consume him. Levick finds himself burdened with new responsibilities, and an alluring distraction clouds his judgment.

Still recovering from her trauma on the sea cliffs, Francie Hanover journeys to the rugged kingdom of Trenica with Princess Eadlin and their bodyguard, Ress. Atop the jagged northern peaks, Francie must hone her strength and abilities if she is to survive the spiraling war.

Just as hope starts to bloom, the revelation of an unexpected marriage jeopardizes the stability of the entire continent. New bonds threaten to shatter old ones, and malign influences work to corrupt any chance of reunification. This is a story of loss, vengeance, and a love bound by fate.

💫 INFINITY STARS ✨ Oh my! I had so much fun reading this book! Did I get sleep? Absolutely not, but it was totally worth staying up reading 😁 I was so completely embedded into this story that I felt every single event and emotion that came at me like it was real. I don’t know if I devoured this book or if it devoured me. Any time I walked away from the book, it’s all I could think about. Honestly, this is an ♾️⭐️ read and I never hand out infinity stars!

This one brings all the feels! I was falling in love and making theories that grew more and more to making me nervous as the story unfolded 👀 this was not the love triangle I expected to get but wow! It was better and so so much more!! The MMCs in this book take you on a wild ride. All the twists and all the feels! The FMCs show up and show off!! Loved them and their growth and strength.

I had so much fun reading Levick in this book. I don’t want to give spoilers, so that’s all I’ll say there 😁

The multi POV is done really well. The story flows seamlessly through each character. I love how this book sets us up with a new, bigger found family 🥹 Oh and all the feels. Book one left everyone broken in one way or another, and I really enjoyed the way that trauma plays into the actions and feelings of the characters in book two. There is so much love and protection mixed in with the politics and impending war. I cheered and kicked my feet and cried. The twists had me screaming 😅 Some parts broke me. And that surprise POV at the end 🥹❤️‍🔥🙌🏻 Okay, give me book three!!

Content: some language (including 1 f-word), violence (not too gory/explicit), closed door/fade to black.

Genre/Tropes: Book 2 of Trilogy, Adult fantasy, “who did this to you?” “Touch her and die” He falls first, grief/healing, nightmares, multiple POV

September 2025 (arc read): I reread this again as soon as the review copy became available (book releases Oct 25!). I love it so much and am still sad that it’s over and I have to wait for her to write the next book. Cannot wait to see where she takes the story (and find out how many of my guesses are correct 😏). And I will say, a reread is much less stressful 😂

Some favorite moments:
❄️ Francie’s training and growing strength
❄️ New romances and first kisses
❄️ Masquerade ball in Trenica
❄️ How the nightmares end
❄️ The battle for the sword
❄️ Eadlin and Francie’s friendship
❄️ Every time Levick speaks up

June 2025 (beta read): Okay, first off it’s hard to know how to talk about this book without spoilers 😂 but I will say there were a couple of reveals that I was not anticipating. The romantic tension in this is soooo good, and the switching POVs had me wanting to read more and more. Some new POVs are added in addition to the main 3 from book 1. The characters we know and love from book 1 are growing and changing in this book, in ways they never expected. I already plan to reread this once my physical copy shows up. I could not stop thinking about this story when I finished the book. I didn’t want to let it go!

💀🖤Fave quotes🖤💀
“I’d die for you. I’d kill for you.”
“You are my every reason.”

“I was just a boy then. Only living for myself. For the pleasure of the moment. Now I have a kingdom to fight for. A family to protect.” He took my face in his hands. “And I’ll do anything to protect my family.”

His first gaze made me feel entirely exposed, despite the white gown I still wore.
“Hello,” I said my voice barely a whisper.
“Hello, wife,” he said, sliding his hands over my waist.

The way he looked at me…it was intoxicating. And I wanted nothing more than to drink it in until he was all I could see.

The look on his face—the guilt—I couldn’t bear it. So I rested my hand on his warm cheek, leaned in, and kissed him like it could be the last time. I felt his fingers tighten over my waist, his legs pulled me closer. His kiss was pure love and tenderness, bearing non of the aggressive nipping or biting we often partook in. It was cherishing. Adoring.

He stared at me for a long moment before running a finger over my cheek. Cupping it in his hand, he leaned in and took my lips in a kiss so tender—so intimate—that I wondered if I’d ever really kissed him before.

A villain he may be…but my villain he remains.

💀🖤My Thoughts🖤💀
💀Wow this book blew me away! This is the second book in a trilogy and usually the second books can feel more like filler books and aren’t as good as the first book but not this one! This one was even better than the first book!

🖤Kelly Farina is a mastermind! Her writing is so immersive you will be feeling all the feelings that the characters are going through. The twists that she threw in here had me with my jaw on the floor. The romantic tension was perfection! I was screaming out loud so much while reading this book. The action was phenomenal! I loved getting some new POV’s in this book especially near the end of the book. The characters from book one go through so much growth in this book especially Francie she was such a strong fmc. The romance in this book will have you obsessed, he takes care of her, makes the nightmares go away, would do anything for her, believes in her, pushes her to be better, touch her and die all the things I love. I was screaming, giggling, and kicking my feet during it all.

💀There aren’t enough words to describe how much I loved this book and this world she has created! This is a series that will have you on the edge of your seat with bated breath waiting for the next book!

💀🖤Content🖤💀
I will say for content there is mild cursing, there are more sexual references in this book than in book one. It is still closed door/fade to black but some of the kissing may go further than some might be comfortable for a no spice book.

🖤Thank you so much Kelly Farina for providing me an e-arc to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

5 Stars.

⚔️ The vibes:
- book 2 in trilogy
- He falls first
- Grief journey
- Moral dilemmas
- YA fantasy
- fade to black

⚔️ My thoughts:
As this is book two in a trilogy- I will keep this all vague and spoiler-free.

“Three friends torn apart. Two brothers out for blood. One love chosen by fate.”

⚔️ This was incredible. Dare I say masterful. Book twos in trilogies can often feel like filler-material. This was not that.

⚔️ There were new characters who took the stage in this book, and I was fully invested in the new friendship dynamics. I was so gripped from page one and felt so stressed out the entire time (in the best way).

⚔️ The moments that were clearly plotted out from book one are elite. There’s foreshadowing that comes full circle in the most tortuous way. Kelly’s writing feels so purposeful and calculated at every turn. She is a must read author for anyone looking for a romantasy that will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

Note- language; fade to black
Release date: October 25, 2025.

Thank you so much to Kelly Farina for the gifted copy.

YA Considerations: Overall, this book/series doesn’t feel YA to me. Main characters are mostly in the 17-19 age, but it deals with a lot of adult situations and does not feel written for teens. There’s mature relationships with physical intimacy (off page), violence, and gore.

I recently finished Kelly Farina's excellent sequel to the Wind of Walkers and Blades. Easily a 10/10 read. This sequel picks up immediately where Book 1 leaves off, taking readers in completely unexpected directions.

In hindsight, this book feels like the start of the story, with Book 1 feeling almost like a prequel. Kelly wastes no time jumping in to the meat of the story. I'll caveat that this is a long read, but there is little to no fluff. The pacing is quick, the characters' choices have real (and at times devastating) consequences, and the world-building is impressive and expansive.

I read a lot of history and sci fi, but if this book if for me, then it's for anyone. I was honored to receive an advance copy and the story has been occupying free real estate in my mind ever since finishing. Can't wait for the final book to see where the story goes!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- multiple POVs
- Kingdom at civil war
- Grief and betrayal
- Healing from life threatening wounds and deep mental trauma
- Political wars
- Magical powers
- Developing skills and honing power

✨ a few of my favorite things:
- Certain new couples that emerge
- The new friendships formed, especially by the girls
- Grit, determination, honing skills and getting better
- The plot twists, secrets
- Foreshadowing and foundations laid in book 1 coming to fruition
- Undying devotion to those they love
- Rebuilt friendships, reunification
- Friends who get that others have been through a lot and it’s not all about them
- Unconditional sacrifice
- Mountains climbed, bonds forged, and the impact they made 🥲

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book 2 the Skylord Trilogy - The way I cried and was devastated by this cliffhanger cannot be conveyed by words. This book is filled with so many layers including destroyed relationships, new relationships, mended relationships, torn apart hearts, sacrifice, manipulation, secrets, corruption, and truth unveiled. Nothing comes easy to the main characters. Kelly did a fantastic job planning out this story. There is so much foreshadowing (some I caught and some I didn’t) and the plot twists had my jaw on the floor many times. Book 2 infinitely deepened the story she laid in book 1.

This one broke my heart in so many ways I couldn’t even begin to describe it to you. If you enjoy a plethora of plot twists, devastation, romance, flirting, conflict, and drama, then this series is full of them.

This is a closed door YA fantasy book with death, violence, war, mentions of SA, innuendo, a handful of cursing, and implied sex (some may consider scenes to be fade to black but scenes are brief and give no or minimal physical detail).

This book has me OBSESSED. Book one was such a beautiful beginning to this series, and book two is such a perfect follow-up!

We start off shortly after the end of book one and jump right into the repercussions of what transpired.

When I tell you I did not set this book down... I mean it. I have not had a book affecting me so much in a long time. I was literally PACING my house. The number of times I screamed out loud is no less than 20 🙏🏼

The writing is stunning and immersive. I was drawn into every moment, every emotion, and environment. The characters now all live in my head at all times, and I literally find myself thinking about them when I listen to music and reading other books 😂 This book is INCREDIBLE.

I absolutely love the FMC, Francie. She gets such a satisfying character arc, and she is just such a good and easy to root for character.

The romance... I won't spoil anything. But... OH. MY. GOD. I am obsessed. The tender love. The "I would do anything for you" and "I believe in you" is just TOP TEIR. Hurt/comfort, and a romance that just blooms so beautifully. ugh. They are one of my ultimate book ships ever.

This book is an instant reread for me. I adored every minute, the twists and turns. And the magic system and political conflict in this is still so strong and well thought out.

A favorite read this entire year! Kelly did a fantastic job following up book one, and she is an instant buy author for me. Her talent shines in this series, and I will be recommending this to everyone I meet 🖤

It is VERY rare I don’t know what to write in a review but honestly I have no words…. Just WOW 🤩

The feelings I felt while reading this, happiness, sadness, heartbreak and rageeee but this is the BEST thing I’ve ever read!
I don’t want to give spoilers because you absolutely have to read The Wind of Walkers and Blades and this to understand my hype for these🤯

These books are my favourite by far…

Thank you so much Kelly for allowing me the opportunity of reading this before release and for being my emotional support all hours of the day while I was reading this🤣🩷

THIS BOOK!!! If there's ever been a second installment in a trilogy that not only lived up to the first but surpasses it, THIS. IS. IT!! I absolutely devoured it—every single page. It kept me up until 2 a.m., gripping me with shock, fury, and every emotion. Totally worth it!

The world Kelly has created is absolutely amazing. I CANNOT wait to see what happens next!

Note: This trilogy is Fade to Black, has mild language and violence, darker themes and innuendo.

The first book, The Wind of Walkers and Blades, is considered Young Adult. This book, The Prince of Death and Darkness is considered New Adult.

I read an eARC of this book. Opinions honest and my own.

Another great book by Kelly! I’m excited to have had the chance to read this ARC, and now I can’t wait for book 3!

There are a lot of twists in here that kept me turning the page and wanting more. Many things came to light at the end, which I was so happy to learn!

There is a lot of closed door scenes in this book, while not very descriptive. It’s between a married couple, but for a YA book I did feel like there was a lot of harping on the physical aspect of the couple. As an adult reading, I thought it was well done, but I’d probably not want my 13 year old reading it because there’s a lot of desire, make outs, and lead up to sex.

Language: some strong language I think
Spice: see above
Content: beheading, sword fighting, torture

Edit after original review: the author changed this book from Young Adult to New Adult, which I think is was a great idea!

I loved The Wind of Walkers and Blades and even thought it might be my favorite book of the year, or at least top 3. And then I read The Prince of Death and Darkness.

This book is top tier and will have you gasping, laughing, and crying by the end. Where do I even begin? Let’s start with the setting. If you’ve read book 1, you can probably figure out that we’re going to be spending some time up north in Trenica. It’s a chilly, icy country that makes me want to wrap myself in a blanket, grab a mug of tea, and curl up while I read this book over and over again. Seriously though, I appreciated the change of scenery and felt that this was a great way to also signal the major changes that were coming in the rest of the book.

The real shining star of The Prince of Death and Darkness was the plethora of phenomenal characters. We have the old gang (Francie, Arturian, and Levick), plus quite a few side characters that have become a main focus of book 2’s plot. Now that we’re fully immersed in the back story of the world and characters, Kelly really let the characters loose. The old gang is not the same trio from book 1. They’ve seen things. They’ve done things. They are no longer kids.

This book is darker and grittier than the first book in the series, but it makes so much sense for the plot. The “new” characters we meet bring tension and conflict in the best way. I’m OBSESSED with the titular character and his relationship with Francie. And wait a sec, can we just talk about Francie for a second? She has some major character development in every way possible. I love it. I’m here for it.

There’s much more action in The Prince of Death and Darkness. The stakes are higher and the fate of Friese is in question. I loved having multiple POVs so that we could see many sides of the same issue.

I loved The Prince of Death and Darkness so much! The writing, the setting, the plot, the characters. Everything was woven together to create a stunning tale.

Where to start?? This series, but especially this book, is so fantastic! I highly recommend immersing yourself in Kelly Farina's unique and riveting world. It is an intense, emotional rollercoaster in a unique setting with compelling characters and a gripping, well-paced plot. My heart honestly felt quite eviscerated after reading The Prince of Death and Darkness. It is not your basic, predictable romantic fantasy!

This book is so emotionally consuming- in all the ways- from the very start all the way to the end. The plot had me on my toes, trying to guess the twists and turns, but I was never actually sure which way it would go. And boy, did Kelly ever surprise me throughout this book!

The characters are all complex, well-written, and burrowed their ways into my heart! I enjoyed expanding our cast of characters to include more than our main three. The characters are dynamic, face actual consequences for their actions, and grow/change. And no person/relationship is safe! I was cheering for so many different things to happen through the course of just this one book. It had me calling out in concern for the characters. I felt deep sadness alongside them. I felt their pain. I enjoyed their happiness. I raged with the characters when needed. And just felt so much suspense, especially for Francie, Levick, and Arturian as events unfolded. They have my heart and I want them to all find happiness!

I do not typically reread fiction books. However, I cannot wait to go back and reread both the first and second books of this trilogy again to connect so many threads and breadcrumbs strung along throughout both books to gain a deeper understanding of how the three main characters' stories unfolded and to appreciate for Kelly's brilliant storytelling. Of course, once my heart recovers enough to put myself through such an burning, intense story a second time...

Before I give my thoughts on the book and its plot I must say that there is a lot of language, sexual references, closed door references and fade to black scenes. Sex is had before marriage and celebrated. Some kiss scenes went further than people reading no spice may prefer. Some innuendos as well. If any of this bothers you, don't say I didn't warn you. Be intentional with what you read!

All of that being said, I really enjoyed the actual storyline. We pick up at the end of the first book and expand the story. There is adventure, rumors, love, betrayal, danger, and so on! I loved seeing my favorite character find who they are and fall in love. Their romance story was sparing and sweet, I wish there was a lot more of it haha. They had less POV in the book but that may change in the next book I don't know haha. The ending of this book caught me off-guard and I gasped. I really did. I was able to skip through the love scenes that went a little far for me personally to soak up the story. I really like the skylord premise and all that it involves. We throw in even more chaos with other things I won't spoil. Francie, Levick, and Arturian really go through things and have to figure out how to save Friese. The title of this book is brilliant and most befitting. Side characters from the first book are thrown into the front and center here and become part of the action. I enjoyed seeing POVs from different characters. Kelly once again weaves words into a fascinating story.

Whenever I get a physical rather than digital copy, I will be marking parts of the book for my own preferences. I did this with the first book as well.

Just finished this an hour ago, so I may have to come back to this once I have calmed down. But I just have to get some of this out.

The last hundred pages of this were WILD. I devoured it. So many twists, so much moral dilemma and confusion. So many questions and chaos. I really was sweating, crying, and trying to figure out what I was expecting because it was not this.

It is so masterful what Kelly has done with these characters and their growth. Especially our FMC. I appreciate the realism of her journey through this whole book, because honestly… The thing that turns me off for so many books in this genre, is the FMC acting no where near what a girl her age would when faced with death and heartbreak and all the other things Francie goes through. The characters and their decisions made sense in this whole book and that made me want to keep reading. I don’t care how good your world building is, I won’t care if the characters are crap and I don’t attach to them. Kelly has completely skirted that issue by writing complex, interesting and engaging characters. Beautifully done.

It’s often difficult to not putter around and fill a book in the middle of a series with some nonsense. And I’m so grateful that this just completely destroyed any of that notion. Kelly did not come to play with her second in the series. She was armed with fantastic story and emotional growth for her characters, further world building, intense battle and war themes and sequences, and I am floored.

The first one was good. The second one defied expectation.

“A villain he may be… But my villain, he remains.”

Beautiful. Just beautiful.

Thank you so much to Kelly Farina for my ARC copy!

Warning: this review contains spoilers for the first book in the series, The Wind of Walkers and Blades and vague mild spoilers for The Prince of Death and Darkness.

I liked the first book in this series but I loved this one. The drama, the stakes, the characters and relationships - I was invested. I'm still impressed by this unique magic system. I appreciate the world building as well and how this book expanded on the world from the first one. But my favorite part: the romance. So in the last book there was a love triangle between Francie, Arturian, and Levick. I was team Arturian in the love triangle, but the way that he and Francie handled things with Levick left a bitter taste in my mouth and kind of soured their relationship for me. So when, in this book, Francie started getting close to bachelor number three (who I will not name so as not to give spoilers) I was actually all for it. I switched teams. I thought it was healthy for Francie to move past all the hurt between her and Arturian and Levick. And I'm not gonna lie, even after everything that happened, I'm still team bachelor number three. I'm like 90% sure that they're not the endgame, but I'm still rooting for it, still hoping beyond hope for a happy ending for my ship. If anything happens to my snookums bachelor number three, I will burn Utica to the ground (for legal reasons, this is a joke and a reference to The Office). Anyway, I cannot wait for the next book in this series (or maybe I can if my ship isn't endgame, jk, but seriously though I would be devastated).

This book was pure perfection. The Skylord Trilogy is officially a new God tier series for me.

Kelly has outdone herself with this one. I had so much fun reading it. Did it ruin my sleep schedule? Probably. But this one was 100% worth sacrificing my sleep for. I was so immersed in the story that I couldn't put it down. This was all i could think of while reading it.
The pacing was flawless. Every chapter pulled me deeper in, and the tension (both romantic and otherwise) was chef’s kiss. I loved every twist, every emotional hit, every breathtaking line. The writing has this immersive, cinematic quality that made me feel like I was living inside the story rather than just reading it.

A huge thank you to Kelly for providing me with an ARC. I’m so grateful to have experienced this masterpiece early. This book reminded me why I fell in love with fantasy in the first place and I already know this series is going to live rent-free in my head for a long, long time.

A favorite fantasy this year! Book two of the Skylord Trilogy is incredible and I couldn’t put it down. I was on a rollercoaster of heartbreak and hope and just had to know how everything would play out! The whiplash was brutal😅 The romance was captivating♥️ Kelly Farina is an excellent writer. She has created a well-thought out plot with unique magic and gotten me to care about every character. I don’t know how I’m going to wait for the next book.

Favorite quotes🤍🫠🥰

“Don’t apologize for your nightmares, Francie. We’re all haunted by something. It may feel like it, but you’re not alone.”

“Whenever you want me, darling… I’ll be here.”

“You are the bright, burning star at the center of my blackest nights, and I need you. Even if you burn me alive.”

“You saved me. I was drowning in fear and despair, and you brought me out of it.” I pulled him close, but paused just before our lips touched. “I will love you forever.”

“I love you entirely. I desire you endlessly. No amount of time will ever be enough.”

1000/10 Read!!! * This has to be one of my top books for this year or even ever.

I'm not a love triangle gal but this book, THIS BOOK!!! I have never been so nervous to finish a book before this one. I kept messaging the author Kelly, hoping she'd put my mind to ease...but no luck.

What started out as 3 innocent friends turns into backstabbers, liars, enemies, war. This book is prime example of what happens when you assume, tell lies, and keep secrets. You start thinking you have it figured out then guess what PLOT TWIST!

New alliances, new lovers...and boy, oh boy, does that take you on a ride you don't see coming!
With the love triangle, the yearning, the "I'll burn this world down to the ground for you," you start to question "whose side am I really on?"

I can't wait to see who's the endgame!! Ahh!!

Highly recommend this no spice, some bl**d and g*re mentioned, wildcard.

Honestly, this book is a *chefs kiss* I love the new perspectives and everything that was going on tied so well from the first book. I definitely enjoyed the deep dive into some of these background characters from book one and how they become significant role players in book 2. I felt like I was being propelled forward into the story and every page was incredibly engaging. It was so hard for me to put it down.

Here were some of my real-time thoughts as they were happening:

Literally screaming at the tension between Harley and Francie ‼️

Ch 23 Francie went full Leonardo DiCaprio in the Revenant 🫣

Alsooooo WTF SHE SAID YES TO HARLEY 😭😭😭

FRANCIE IS THE SLASH SLINGING SLASHER???????

My Prince Of Death And Darkness 😭😭😭😭 stopitrightnow

If you want to skip sleeping for a couple nights, this book is for you! I could NOT put it down. The rollercoaster of emotions I went through with this book is still leaving my head spinning. I thought the first book was fantastic, but this one is even better.

New characters to fall in love with and more POV's. Even the characters you're supposed to hate are just excellently written characters.

New love stories/interests. I will say no more because I don't know how to not spoil things... except to say, this was the aforementioned rollercoaster!

Excellent fight scenes, exploring powers, and just all around good action.

And I absolutely love the wintery world of Trenica. Kelly paints an incredible picture in this new adventure, with twists and turns I did not see coming.

Seriously, love, love, love this book.

After reading and loving The Wind of Walkers and Blades, I came into TPODAD with certain assumptions and predictions, specific people I was rooting to get together, and literally all of that flew out the window! Book 2 of the Skylord Trilogy had so many plot twists that I didn’t see coming. There were some new characters that I loved, some new twists that had me gasping out loud, and new romances that had me a little gooey-eyed. Kelly is a master of her craft, and this book more than exceeded my expectations. Knowing there’s one more book is both exciting (because I want to know what happens next), and bittersweet (because then it’ll be over). I hated every moment. I know I gave it 4 stars but really it was because it was well written. The most annoying love triangle and it's not even one you expect. If you liked the shenanigans of Elena bouncing between Damon and Stephan in Vampire diaries, you'd love this one. And gosh I wished I DNF cause I could've save myself the pain. But alas, the underlying plot is that engaging, it keeps you sucked in though you know it's not going to end the way you want it to.
I was expecting just sadness from losing the original relationship but really all I feel is anger. Still, ability to evoke strong emotions is still a plus. Just be prepared going in. Will not read again. I need some time to recover.

At the risk of making an unintended pun, what a whirlwind! I enjoyed The Wind of Walkers and Blade but I loved The Prince of Death and Darkness. Every time I thought I knew where the plot was going, Kelly sent it spinning in another direction. This book is full of heartbreak, betrayal, secrets, unexpected friendships, and suspense. I simply cannot wait to see how Kelly resolves everything in the third book!

Spice: closed door/implied.
Action: tons. Due to the nature of windblades, there’s a decent amount of gore but nothing overly graphic.
Language: mild.

Thank you Kelly Farina for this Advanced Reader Copy! I enjoyed every second of it.

The first half of the book was so frustrating because literally every conflict was caused by misinformation. It could have all been fixed with communication of what actually happened.

The second half of the book gave me whiplash how back and forth it was and not really knowing what I was suppose to think.

Other than being a bit drawn out at times, the rest of the story and how it played out and the overall plot and magic system and characters kept me hooked. Overall I’m a bit conflicted. I had to know how the story would end, but getting there was a little rough for me.

Loved the first one and loved this one! The love triangle had me sweating and all the plotting between the different kingdoms kept me on my toes. The characters are memorable and beautifully written. I have to say that Arturian is still my favorite. Again, it's really giving magical fantasy meets Bridgerton, and I'm here for it. Can't wait to keep recommending this series to people!

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

ONLY because it took too long to get moving. Once it did, what a ride! I liked it even better than book 1.

Now. To the most important and only question needing to be answered immediately…

When and where can I find the last book?!?

Honestly? no notes. I love the depth of the characters, the unpredictability, and the FMC and her unproblematic self. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. But now I must wait until the last book comes out? These characters will live rent-free in my brain for a while.

It’s rare for me to like a sequel even more than the first book in a series, but that was the case with this one. The romance absolutely gripped me to the point where it was all I could think about. Even so, I am miserable in the fact that I cannot read the third book yet simply because she has not yet written it. Please send help.

Y’ALL go preorder this book!!!!! I loved the first book but this one knocked it out of the park. I so enjoyed watching Francie grow and figure things out for herself. I loved the multi POV and the twist had me in a death grip. And the new character intro 🔥 I will die on this hill. I cannot wait to see what’s in store for book three. That cliff hanger left me craving. 👀
