Great little book! I wanted to know more about Barnum after seeing The Greatest Showman and this book had so many interesting facts. I really was surprised that he was so much more than just a man with a circus.

Jaron needed a non-fiction book to read. A friend told me the life of P.T. Barnum, the man who began the Barnum and Bailey Circus, was amazing. This book is so informative and fun to read. I think it may be above a normal 10 year old's head in spots, but I explained some of those things to him he understood. Barnum led a fast-paced life, took a lot of risks, but for the most part a was very successful businessman. It reminded me that if you are a risk-taker you are bound to lose everything at one time or another in your life. Barnum's life reminded me of the life of President Andrew Jackson.
