I am sadly disappointed with this last book. Ran hard and put away wet.

**SPOILER ALERT**
.
.
.
Now. Don't get me wrong. There's an ending, but waaaay too quickly and with so many holes. (Sorry, Sadie) My biggest issue is, WHY did we not get the inside scoop of the last hunt? That was one of the MAIN draws of this being a darker series. Then, just with a snap of the finger, it's done. Fade out. Goodnight. AND on top of that, there is SO much potential for it(The Butchers) to continue with the MULTIPLE loose threads. I hated having that 1 odd chapter in Dec. Rodriguez's POV. Don't get me started on having Ethans POV either. I've never read a book that allowed POVs from anyone other than the protagonists when it comes to RH. When his POV started coming into the series, I was like... "Uh, please tell me he isn't going to end up joining the harem!?!?". INMHO, the ending left too MUCH to be desired. I feel like if it had been pushed back even 2 or 3 weeks to add 3 or 4 chapters, I wouldn't feel like I was cheated of the proper ending. Honestly, it might as well be half HEA & half cliffhanger. I KNOW Blackwell is a multiple series world, but this book, in particular, had characters introduced for no real reason as far as I can see. And then there was no conclusion for them IE all of Poe's family. This was a book I was up waiting for, checking for release at 1am, 2am and 3am. I reread 1 & 2 yesterday. It wasn't released until I woke up at 9am, and I did devoured it. My point is,... I was EXCITED and very much looking forward to this conclusion. Maybe that's why I'm feeling so let down.
On another note, the 3rd installment plot was almost washed out by how much spice was in it. So, if that's your thing, read on Little Bird!

Once again, Sadie has delivered. This book…this series…is a legitimate 5 ⭐️ experience.

I am absolutely a woman who is here for the why choose, the darkness, and the slow-burn character development and progression…and Sadie delivers on every single front. She pushes into new territory in this series, exploring themes she hasn’t before, and as a reader, I am completely here for it. As an author, she deserves applause for staying unapologetically true to herself, never shying away from topics that others might label taboo or politically charged.

One of the things I loved most about this series as a whole is how it sheds light on the manosphere mentality, weaving it seamlessly into the narrative to create a villain so deeply detestable that Ethan becomes truly unforgettable in the worst way.

This book picks up exactly where book two leaves off, plunging us straight into the aftermath of Maeve’s capture. Bram, Poe, and Remy along with the help of some beloved familiar faces like Rafe, Jude, Nolan, Lilah, The Kings, and more, come together in a way that feels powerful and earned. I adore the cameos in this series and the way everyone shows up for each other and for Blackwell Falls.

Maeve is a phenomenally crafted FMC. She is strong, resilient, and unyielding. She doesn’t sit around waiting to be rescued. She fights. She survives. She claws her way back to what’s hers, and I loved her all the more for it.

Bram’s character development from book one to book three is nothing short of beautiful. I hate to say it, Neo, but you’ve officially been dethroned as my favorite Sadie man. Bram stole my heart…not just with his ferocity, but with the depth of his love and the way he learns how to show it once he truly understands it.

As for that final hunt… while it may not have ended exactly how everyone wanted, reading and writing are subjective. I loved that Sadie left it open enough for readers to envision their own version of the ending. Mine personally would have involved a great deal more pain…but we absolutely know what those women did to him, and he deserved every single second of it.

Dark. Seductive. Powerful. This series will stay with me for a long time.

Overall this book and this series are 5⭐️ reads for me and the spice in this one …hold my chili peppas 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Claim The Dark is the final book in the Blackwell Butchers series this one is a WILD ride. I love a book where the FMC isn’t all “Help, I’m helpless, please save me, wahhh.” Immediate no. Instead, we get Maeve—who takes zero crap, handles business, and doesn’t wait around for permission. A certified BAMF. A queen. A menace (affectionate). You go, girl. THE. SPICE. OH. MY. GOD. 🥵 I simply was not prepared. Poe, Bram, and Remy getting very comfortable with each other? Yeah. I saw that. I loved that. I will be thinking about that. Sadie Hunt, consider this me on my knees begging for MORE MORE MORE of that energy.
My food theory? OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED. Apples. Black Forest cake. Ice cream. Coincidence?? Absolutely not. It’s basically the sacred summoning ritual for Maeve and her Butchers
The ending was exactly what we needed. Ethan and his entire trash clan can choke. Justice was served hot, bloody, and extremely satisfying. No crumbs left. No notes. Five stars. 🔥🖤

Read if you enjoy: dark romance, why choose, and fictional men you’d absolutely not trust in real life 😌🖤

The entire book was so vague, aside from one well-written manifesto about the harmfulness of the manosphere. It is so vague that it reads like an outline that was filled in by a 3rd party - not saying that's what happened. But the second and then this book fall so wildly short from the well written first book that something just feels off.

The sudden vagueness around the guys sexuality was so out of character and came out of nowhere - and then left vague without any exploration or curiosity or even emotional investment.

The fmc's relationship with the guys falls flat. While there's a good amount of on page explicit sex, there isn't much energy or emotional weight to it.

Then finally the big conclusion of the big bad is handled completely off page. Maybe there's some wisdom to that, that the author didn't want to give last moments to this disgusting villain, but wow does that kind of an ending really take the wind right out of your sails!

So while I loved book 1 I would never recommend this series to anyone because the two books following (including this) were so disappointing.

Wow I wish I could give them book more than five stars. Sadie absolutely writes the best RH books ever. And the little hand job in this book that wasn’t in any other book was 🥵 Like I didn’t see that coming. And I don’t know if you can call that a ⚔️ moment or not 🤔🤔 with way it was mouth watering 🔥🫦

Bram came so damn close to knocking my Remy out of my #1 Butcher spot. I might have slapped my table while reading this book cause OMFG!! And that phone call the best thing ever.

Bram and the demon cat was amazing too. And has a cat mom. Cats are absolutely demons but so love able.

I loved more of the family time with Maeve and her sister and mom.

Spice level is probably a solid 3 pepper

Can’t wait for the Hawks it’s going to be another amazing ride, or shall I say hunt.

I would give this a million stars if I could. Maeve is a FIGHTER, and her strength and growth really shows through out this book, as well as Bram having deep character development. He easily slides into first place in my eyes, though to be fair he was since the first book. Taking the journey with him realizing his feelings over the entire series was **chefs kiss**. He would do literally anything for her and it shows.

The spice.....omfg. The spice was HOOTTTTTT. They all got a little ... comfortable .. with each other and I was defffff here for it 100%. Did I reread that chapter a few times....maybe. IYKYK.

I am already missing The Butchers. This is a MUST READ for all dark romance, why choose lovers out there.

The sudden change in sexual dynamics didn't work for me. I'd have preferred MFMM the entire book, instead of the sudden turn that 'swords can freely cross' Wow. She changed their sexuality? The characterization felt off--the villain would never refer to one of his underlings as an incel. The word would be abhorrent to him. I do not understand why the detective's POV was used; that chapter was pointless. At one sexy time scene, I think there was a mix up of what body parts were being utilized . And like all the butcher books, the book cover suggests a dark read, when in truth the trilogy reads as sweet spice with some woman in peril elements

I did like the mix, but some readers may expect a truly dark romance---not movies references, birthday parties, snuggles and picnics. The karma ending happened behind the scenes, refusing to claim the dark openly--more like "Ashamed of the dark. " The missing commas didn't bother me, though they were rampant. Lots of Bram. Wanted a bit more of the other boys. Replacing the detective chapter with a remy chap would have worked. The villain already had a POV, so the info on his intentions was already in play. Disappointed.

Claim the Dark

by Sadie Hunt

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Participating Trophy goes to chapter 41 in Claim the Dark! Let’s just say I didn’t see that coming and I’m here for it.
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🥵

Claim the Dark is the last book in the Blackwell Butchers Trilogy. In all three books we follow Maeve, Bram, Poe, Remy and their common enemy Ethan. I love that we get the POV not only of our three MMC, our FMC, but also our nemesis Ethan, this gives us so much insight and adds so much more to the story. It was so well done and had me glued to the book.

When Maeve couldn’t exact revenge and kill the man who was responsible for her sisters death, she decides to enlist in an underground hunt in the Blackwell tunnels underneath the city, if she can make it 24 hours without being caught by three masked men, then she will get one wish, but if she is caught by the masked men known as the Blackwell Butchers she will be theirs for three months.

The Blackwell Butchers Trilogy is a dark romance why choose that is part of the Blackwell Universe. You can read this trilogy as a standalone or read from the beginning, as there are crossover characters from each trilogy throughout the Blackwell Universe.

Reading Order:
1. Aventine University
2. Blackwell Beast
3. Blackwell Bastards
4. Blackwell Butchers

I was really looking forward to this book after finishing the other two but I was bummed when I finished. The ending seemed rushed after a big build up. In my opinion atleast. Still a great series but I have questions I still need answered 😬

I loved the Butchers and Maeve!!!

This was a great conclusion to the Butchers Trilogy I am sad they are done but I am sure we will see them in the next series!!!

Loved how they all came together and went after what they wanted in this one. I do wish we had more detail of what happened with Ethan but I’m still glad he got what he deserved!!

I also loved the concept of Maeve getting to hunt that was great!!

Can’t wait to see what comes next!!

Screaming with how perfect Claim the Dark finished one of my favorite trilogies! The tension starts in the first few pages and does not let up until the very end. Revenge is the name of the game and Maeve and her Butchers always win. I fully fell in love with these characters (not you Ethan Todd!) and the world of Blackwell Falls. I am sad the story is over, it was such a wonderful place to visit and I will miss it, but this feeling is why I read. This masked men, why choose, female vengeance, enemies to lovers tale is an amazing read!

Claim the Dark picks up straight from Bleed the Shadows left off. There is no slow build, the action and tension are there immediately putting me back in that awful moment with the Butchers and Maeve. A new hunt has begun for the Butchers and they will literally burn the world to find their girl. Maeve goes through it in this book, but she is resilient, strong and refuses to lose.

Maeve endures so much and I really got to witness Maeve stepping into her own in this book. While Maeve was always strong-willed and driven, she was consumed by her grief and her path for vengeance. I loved the depiction of grief displayed by Maeve and her journey, culminating in her accepting that she can allow herself to be happy, it will never be happiness the way it was before, but that doesn’t mean she should deny it.

Our Butchers, what more can be said about these three men? They are done avoiding the truth, Maeve is theirs and they will do everything to bring peace and joy to her life. Bram, he was my favorite from the very beginning and the way he showed up emotionally in this book… I knew I was right! While Remy, our handsome golden retriever, and Poe, our brooding creative, have accepted what Maeve is to them long ago, Bram took more time. Much like Maeve, it was safer to deny himself happiness and stay in the dark, but when he finally decides to stop running and accept what Maeve is to him, God help you if you cause her harm in any way.

The pacing of the story and the balance between action and romance is on point (oh and the spice, let’s not forget about that…hot!). I became more obsessed with the turn of every page! The way I was able to experience strong emotional responses to what was unfolding before my eyes; everything from sadness, absolute loathing, and that indescribable feeling of when love is present is what has ingrained this series to me. I highly recommend this book (and do..., a lot) to readers who like a strong woman out for revenge, morally grey men who are obsessed and protective, and a story that just doesn’t quit.

Great last book

This book tied up the story of Maeve and her Blackwell Butchers, No spoilers here.
Spice 3.5/5 as the last two books, she has sex with all three men at the same time. There isn't exactly mm but two of them go down on her together, their tongues touching, she mentions or hints that when they're in the moments things happen they get carried away but nothing that would turn you off if it's not something you like.
The men are very secure in their manhood and 100% all about Maeve.
She gets moments with each men alone which helps her connect to them.
She finally tells her mom about them or rather she is with three men but isn't sure she'd like who they are...mom just wants meet them.
The men go to rescue her from Ethan Todd in Romania, he gets away so they have to hunt him down and figure out how to take him out
Trust me it's worth the wait.
Of course an HEA. No future, no epilogue. I read this series first then realizes the Blackwell Beasts is the first series, then Kings of Aventine both groups help our butcher's and Maeve out, so better to read those first.

It says the next series is the Hawks, which Maeve met in the tunnels and Cassie Bram's sister who he's kept away from his world ends up in the tunnel and I'm guessing caught by the Hawks.
Maybe in that book we might learn a bit more about Maeve, Bram, Remy and Poe?
I haven't read the first series so I don't know how Sadie Hunt writes, if she leaves the endings open to give you a little in the next or what, I definitely need to know if they knock her up, if she opens a bakery or something...I want to see them happier which we usually see in epilogues so fingers crossed with The Blackwell Hawks and hey Maeves bestie deserves to find happiness too....
It's not often a series holds my attention enough to make me want to read the next series from the author but Sadie Hunt did this right!!

Claim the Dark is the perfect, devastating, delicious finale to the Blackwell Falls Butchers trilogy — dark, funny, emotionally loaded, and everything I hoped Maeve’s story would become.

After the end of book two, when the Butchers set out to kill Ethan Todd, everything goes sideways. Ethan gets wind of their plan and kidnaps Maeve, and the first half of this book is a tense, brutal, heart‑in‑throat rescue mission. The lengths Poe, Remy, and Bram go to in order to get her back — with help from familiar faces from Sadie’s other works — is nothing short of feral devotion. It adds a whole new layer to their bond and shows exactly what Maeve means to them.

Maeve has already lost so much, including her sister June and both rounds of the Hunt that could have given her the revenge she’s been chasing. But what she gains — Poe, Remy, and Bram — is something far more powerful. They’re not just her hunters; they’re the men who adore her, who see her, and who would burn the world down if she asked. Their vow to take Ethan down for her is fierce, emotional, and beautifully unhinged.

Each of the four main characters carries their own trauma, grief, and jagged edges, yet together they work. Somehow this mismatched, feared, chaotic little unit becomes a family. And yes, it’s dark. Yes, there are triggers. But there’s also so much love, unexpected softness, and laugh‑out‑loud moments — mostly courtesy of Remy, who remains an absolute menace in the best way. Add in a touch of MM, a sprinkle of smut, and Sadie Hunt’s signature emotional punch, and you’ve got a finale that hits every mark.

Sadie is a master of her craft, and I’m genuinely devastated this trilogy has ended. But with the Blackwell Hawks arriving in April 2026, I’m holding onto hope that we haven’t seen the last of these characters.

A phenomenal ending to a phenomenal series. Five‑star perfection.

Claim the Dark is the third and final story for the Blackwell Butchers trilogy written by Sadie Hunt. The story starts during book two’s cliffhanger, is action packed, and does not stop said action until the book’s conclusion. The novel spans around the world. We start reading at a castle in Bucharest and finish with a hunt. I will say that I loved the conclusion and it was how I hoped the series would end.
It’s honestly hard to write much detail about this story without giving away spoilers due to the content being an expansion of books one and two. But I can focus on the characters relationship. I absolutely loved getting to know each character in this series. Maeve is a strong FMC who had to endure so much already in her young life and instead of being weak, she fought and became a survivor. As a result, she is exactly the match each of the butchers need. She completes them. Remy, Poe, and Bram are not related by blood but are brothers in every other sense. Maeve came into their lives at the exact moment each of them needed her. Bram acts as the protector and is almost like their older brother. Poe is tranquility, until he is tested. Remy is the goofball, clumsy, and adds a comedic factor. All three bond with Maeve in a way that is beautiful. They create a family, complete with a dog and cat.
This is a dark romance. I would recommend paying close attention to the trigger warnings prior to reading. I want to make note that one topic mentioned in this story is the evil that is human trafficking. I am super proud of the author for writing about this topic and including some facts and statistics that help shed light on this very real-world problem.
I recommend this novel for mature audiences only due to sexual content and violence.
I received this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

✨Claim the Dark

If you love:

🔹Why Choose
🔹Masked Men
🔹Touch her and die SLOWLY
🔹Forced Proximity
🔹Bully with a sweet tooth
🔹Golden Retriever

Oh my goodness… Claim the Dark was epically delicious, packed with scorching spice, jaw-dropping twists, and revelations that kept coming like punches to the chest. After the brutal cliffhanger in the previous book, I was perched on the edge of my seat the entire time. Nails bitten. Heart racing. Anxiety buzzing. 😮‍💨🔥 I needed to know how the Butchers were going to get Maeve back.

And honestly? I should have known better. Of course they’d cross oceans, scorch the earth, and burn the world to ash to reclaim what’s theirs. And oh boy… they absolutely did. 😈🌍🔥

I loved watching them finally find family, love, and comfort in each other. Maeve’s strength was everything. Her refusal to show fear, her instinct to fight back every single time? Iconic. 💪🖤 And her sharp comebacks toward that prick, Ethan? Pure satisfaction. Karma really said clock in, because he got exactly what was coming to him. 😌⚖️

This book wraps up the series beautifully, but I have a feeling the Butchers aren’t done with us yet and we’ll be seeing them again in future installments of the Blackwell Saga. Sadie Hunt, you absolutely delivered another hit. I cannot wait to dive back into this world with Blackwell Hawks. 🖤📚✨

5-STAR READ!!! Without a DOUBT!!

I am done.

The Blackwell Butcher’s trilogy is complete. Claim the Dark has been the best of twists and turns, and it is my favorite book in the trilogy. I want to get on this rollercoaster ride again! To be loved the way Bram loves Maeve; or adored by Remy; or cherished and protected by Poe. OMG! Sadie captured the uniqueness of the whole relationship but also managed to still capture the individual relationships Maeve had with each of the Butchers as well. I am so sad that it is over. Who is my fave Butcher?? … I love them ALL!

Maeve’s’ strength continued to grow in this book and we do see her evolve. She continued to cope with her own anxieties and fears, went through more harrowing experiences and trauma. Our FMC went through it!!! Ethan Todd!! UGH! Ethan Todd!! I do not want to give away any spoilers but the number of times, I wanted to slap him. LOL! OMG! Definitely triggers in this book and intense reverse harem scenes so just be aware. Also, there was some great growth between Maeve and her mother and sister. It was beautiful to read it.

A lot happens in this book, y'alll and Sadie did NOT hold back on the conclusion to the Butcher’s trilogy. I am OBSESSED!! She is forever an auto-buy author. I cannot recommend this dark romance , reverse harem, read enough!!!! 5-STARS!! I would give it Infinity stars if I could just because of the emotional rollercoaster it had me on. I screamed, I laughed (oh Remy!) and I cried. I was anxious, sitting on the edge of my seat worried/nervous and I was absolutely pissed off mad at times. What an experience!!

And I’m ready for the next Blackwell series!! Sadie Hunt ? - Love her!!

Fair warning: Your heart will be in your throat for at least the first seventeen chapters of this book. And I’m not exaggerating that number. I double checked before I began writing this review. It’s worth every agonizing minute but holy hell, man…

We are in the home stretch, people. The hunt for Ethan Todd is officially on and he is a dead man walking. If Maeve’s original reason to want the man pushing up daisies weren’t enough, she’s got a brand new bucket of fuel for that fire, and now the Butchers’ want his neck in a noose, too. So they’re searching. As a result, we end up doing a teency bit of globe trotting in this book, which was fun, but it was for less-than-sparkly reasons, which was less fun. Without saying too much, you should keep your peepers open for a date night abroad. In a book riddled with incredible moments, it’s toward the top of my favorites list.

And that brings me to my top favorite incredible moment. The best ending ever… Claim the Dark might have the most satisfying ending I've ever read. I was applauding my ereader screen and yelling F**KING YESSSSSSSSSSSS B**CH!!!!! You know the drill. No spoilers but omg you guys! No lies. It was awesome. Best. Ending. EVER.

Claim the Dark was a deeply satisfying ending to the Blackwell Butchers trilogy, and this trilogy is now tied as my favorite with Aventine University. The story line felt… cathartic. On a few fronts. I can’t recommend the book (or the series) enough if you’re into dangerous dark romance that leaves you clinging to the edge of your seat at every page turn.

A brilliant conclusion to the Blackwell Butchers series! This final installment brought the spice level between Maeve and her Butchers beyond fever pitch, whew it was hot, sexy and dirty in the most delicious way!

Claim the Dark picks up with the Butchers on the hunt to rescue Maeve! It was an intense, heart pounding situation for both Maeve and the Butchers because this was a race against time! Ethan Todd felt that he was smarter than the Butchers and therefore untouchable! In his arrogance he revealed to Maeve the level of his depravity but by being so arrogant he gave Maeve more ammunition for her to take him down. During Maeve’s rescue, Ethan managed to escape and not because he was smart, he just got lucky 🤣🤣

Once Maeve was rescued it was her and the Butchers’ mission to take down Ethan by any means necessary. That made the bond between Maeve and her men stronger, I would say unbreakable even because Bram became a new man, a softer gentler side of him was revealed. All three men found that Maeve had become the center of their world so if it meant that they had to burn the world down to find Ethan, it would happen.

This final installment was a story of unbridled passion, vulnerability, healing, strengthening connections and sweet revenge. I experienced so many emotions but it was the perfect ending to a story that showed being imperfect doesn’t mean you are unworthy or unlovable but strength and resilience is definitely a recipe for success. Sadie, thank you for taking me down this dark twisted rabbit hole and I love every suspenseful, heart pounding moment.

I'm a tad speechless with this ending. The ending of a series is always bittersweet, but this ending just hit different and in the best way.

I really loved that Maeve speaks to June in her head throughout this series, it anchored her to the storyline more and really hit home the tragedy that it was for Maeve to lose her so horrifically. It was nice to have something so genuinely painful and human worked into her character.

I have always had a special place in my heart for the Blackwell Beasts, but the Butchers? They're a whole new vibe I didn't know I needed until Sadie delivered them to us on a gold-plated platter of excellence.

The end of Ethan Todd is absolutely something that should go down in the books as one of the best annihilations of a hated character. I especially liked that we didn't get a play-by-play of how it ended for him. Now I can imagine all of the horrible ways he could've ended and any possibility could be accurate.

The spicy scenes in this book were next level. I was practically salivating when lines were crossed between two of the Butchers. The chemistry between them all and the fact that when they're together they become one really just made it that much more enthralling.

I am incredibly sad that the series is over, but I feel so completely sated in knowing Ethan Todd is no more, and they will live happily ever after as they sprint off into the tunnels hunting one another.

I’m feeling a little underwhelmed by this book, unfortunately 🥲 I had such high hopes and was very excited to get my hands on it after binging the first 2 books…

I feel like the ending was very rushed and not at all what I’m used to, after having experienced the other books in the series. In comparison, this book just seems like it was written to meet a deadline :/ We skip what happens to Ethan…even though the whole book was about getting revenge on Ethan and what would happen when he’s finally found by the Butchers and Maeve. The last chapter is a throwaway to say they’re happy, then the end. It’s all very abrupt. No slow transition to end the book, just “we got Ethan so life is good, bye”.

I also didn’t enjoy the fact that only now, in this last book, do some of the Butchers touch each other during a 🌶️ scene…and then we completely skip over it like its normal and been happening this whole time…which we know it hasn’t as it has never been mentioned and even the butchers speak like it was a nee dynamic between them. Adding that layer to their dynamic could have been fun but it just seemed so weird snd out of place given that it was just thrown in there and barely acknowledged as a new development in their relationship.

Overall, I really really enjoyed the series! I just think this last book was a bit too rushed for my liking and had some plot holes that took me out of it 😕

Dark Devotion, Brutal Loyalty, and a Queen Who Claims It All

Claim the Dark brings the Blackwell Butchers trilogy to a fierce, blood-stained close — and Sadie Hunt does not pull her punches.

Maeve steps fully into her power in this final installment, no longer reacting to the darkness around her but claiming it. Bram, Poe, and Remy remain unapologetically dangerous, possessive, and devoted in ways that feel earned rather than performative. Their bond with Maeve is intense, protective, and built on trust forged through violence, sacrifice, and shared survival.

The chemistry stays scorching (that 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ spice absolutely delivers), but what really shines is the emotional payoff. This isn’t just heat for heat’s sake — it’s loyalty, choice, and a brutal kind of love that makes sense in the world they inhabit.

That said, readers sensitive to graphic violence or morally gray decisions should tread carefully. This book doesn’t soften the edges or offer redemption wrapped in a pretty bow — it embraces the darkness fully, which may not work for everyone.

Overall, Claim the Dark is a satisfying, savage finale that rewards readers who committed to the journey. If you’ve followed Maeve, Bram, Poe, and Remy this far, this ending feels exactly right — ruthless, emotional, and unforgettable.

Omg what a conclusion to the butcher’s trilogy! I couldn’t stop reading or put it down but at the same time I didn’t want to finish it as then it would be over!

Sadie throws you right into it from the very first page, picking right up where bleed the shadows (book 2) left us, with maeve being taken by Ethan Todd. We see maeve really come into her own in this instalment, proving how strong, resilient and fierce she is. The tension until maeve is reunited with the butchers is *chefs kiss*. But it doesn’t end there and builds and builds in a game of cat and mouse whilst they try to draw Ethan out of hiding. And the ending, perfection. Maeve getting her own mask… perfect! All the way throughout the series we saw maeve internal dialogue with her sister June, whose voice brought her comfort, guidance and comic relief when needed. That last conversation with June at the end had me in tears I wasn’t expecting!

This book, and indeed the series of 3, had me on a rollercoaster of emotions throughout. An epically brilliant trilogy for any fans of dark why choose romances, or indeed anyone who is new to the genre this would be a fantastic start to the trope and will be sure to get you hooked, but you need to start with book 1 rule the night. I haven’t read the previous linked series’ but I will be going back and reading them now, before the new series comes out in a few months!

This book had me gripping edge of my seat! This book and series as a whole has everything you could possibly need in a dark romance! It has spice, heartfelt and funny moments, romance, revenge. This book opens with Maeve finding herself kidnapped and the Butchers having to find her. You might think she’s helpless but she’s completely the opposite and holds her own against her capture. From there you see the Butchers will literally burn the world for her! 🔥 I loved this series and the ending of this couldn’t be more perfect!

Fave quotes?

✨ I closed my eyes, I could see the way Bram had looked at me in bed, the love in Remy's eyes when he'd started to confess his feelings at the overlook, the way Poe took my hand whenever we walked together like we were an old married couple.

"I've never seen anything more beautiful in my life than you, standing here right now. Alive. Home."

And I would do anything — sacrifice anything — to keep her safe.

"You're the line in the sand, Maeve. Anyone who crosses it dies."

Loving all three of us like we loved her.

"That's what you are to me, Maeve. You're the air I breathe, the fucking blood in my veins." ✨

What an ending for Maeve and the Butchers!!

I LOVE Sadie’s books. She has a way of writing that makes you feel as if you are right there with them. To say that I get emotional and go through withdrawal and want more is an understatement!
Here are my thoughts while reading:
-Bram‘s reaction to Maeve‘s disappearance was exactly as I figured it would be. The once emotionless Bram now showed how much he loved and felt for Maeve.
- I love how Sadie pulled all of her characters together to provide resources to try to find where Maeve might be, and how they helped throughout the book. We also got to see a little snippet of Willa and her Kings’ life during the ending scene.
- Could not put down-sexy scenes, anticipation, need for more made it impossible to put down! And I still want more. I feel this way after each story wraps up
- Once emotionless Bram now romantic and not afraid to show everyone exactly how he feels about Maeve
- Bram!!! I got swoony while reading the New York/Central Park scene! I knew he wasn’t as harsh as he appeared to be!
-The connection between Maeve and her men, and how it’s grown from the beginning shows how great of a writer Sadie is
-The way the Butchers and Maeve served Ethan Todd his justice was PERFECT!!
Needless to say, I am anticipating Cassie’s (Bram’s sister) story with the Hawks. Not only can I not wait to read about her relationship with them, but I also cannot wait to see how overprotective Bram plays a part if any in the story. Sadie is great about inter weaving her story lines with her previous books.
Overall? 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

An absolutely amazing way to end this series. After reading the second installment of the Blackwell Butchers, I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the aftermath of Ethan Todd kidnapping Maeve. The Butchers were going to do whatever It took to get Maeve back.

The final boss installment gave me everything I needed, the Butchers revealing their true feelings for Maeve, Maeve getting to know each of the Butchers on a more personal level, building back her relationship with her family and finally being able to hunt Ethan Todd.

Some of my favorite scenes:

I felt her absence. I fucking felt it. I felt it the way I felt the absence of the sun when it went behind the clouds.

I Ioved her so much I felt like someone had excavated my heart with a fucking ice pick.

We would get her back. We had to because I didn’t think my heart would keep beating without her. - Bram

“You’re the line in the sand, Maeve. Anyone who crosses it dies.” - Bram

right where I wanted to be—right where I wanted to be forever—between the three men who, against all odds, had captured my heart and soul.

My monsters. They were the breath in my lungs, the blood in my veins.

I’ll always be here, M. Always. Just live your life. I’ll be right here if you need me.

Now this is more like it. The last book I read was so sugary sweet than I almost got a cavity. The Blackwell Butchers and their associates are foiled in their attempt to capture (at the very least) Ethan Todd. They arrive home to confess their failure to Maeve only to find that she’s been abducted by the bad guy.

Chapter 45 Aloha had given us instructions for disabling tracking on the phone and we’d done it as soon as we’d left the city. Otherwise Todd could have used it to track us.

Don’t look now kids, but that train has left the station. Todd already kidnapped Maeve from your home.

I felt this third book was drawn out a bit more than necessary. Maybe just me but it seemed like there was a lot more fucking going on than story development.

I did really like Bram’s birthday celebration, him and the demon cat and the bonus epilogue. They’re good boys.

An Apt Ending to Future Beginnings

Maeve is a survivor first, with a strong character.
Rescued by the Butchers: Bram, Poe and Remy from the clutches of their nemesis Ethan , a misogynist who has ill intentions for her. Ethan manages to evade and escape the Butchers revenge but Maeve is determined to seek justice for her sister June and she’s not alone. Bram, Poe and Remy want him removed from the face of the earth. Together they stop at nothing to bring an ending to Ethan’s sadistic reign. Maeve and her men come to terms with missing loved ones that will never be forgotten. This is the final story of the Blackwell Butchers. Snippets from the past give glimpses of what drives the story along with heartfelt confessions of love and family heartbreak that gives a sense of connection between the characters. More of a milder plot touching on sensitive topics of deep rooted dislikes, captivity, violence and a relentless pursuit. Found family with a fierce protectiveness. The intimate scenes take on a new meaning of oneness 🌶️🌶️🌶️. As with all of the Blackwell series, reading the previous books will give the full scope of the these characters. Another reverse harem deep rooted in Blackwell’s dark history with a fitting conclusion.

So sad that this is wraps up the story of Bram, Poe, Remy and Maeve. Sadie has done it again. Amazing story, page turning drama/adventure, and the heat. Oh lord she brought the heat. The guys got *extremely* comfortable with each other here compared to any of her other books that I’ve read. I am here for it. Here. For. It. I want more. I loved seeing Maeve finally able to reconnect with her family after losing June. Bram’s emotional growth, he quickly became a favorite in this book. I love how Sadie wrote a trilogy with an amazing group of characters, a story line that tugs the heart strings but also keeps you thoroughly hooked and entertained but ALSO centered it on calling out toxic masculinity and to shine a light on people like Ethan Todd, who totally doesn’t sound just like another chauvinistic male (first name begins with A, last name begins with T) chef’s kiss. Reminder to be aware of the crap the youth is being exposed to with the unlimited access to the internet that most have. Don’t miss the bonus epilogue at the end of the ebook. The guys meeting her parents. I can’t wait for Cassie’s story, Bram is gonna lose it when she shows up for a hunt…

Happy Hunting 😈

So happy the way the Butchers' story ended.
More and more I'm getting a little pissed that my husband is just one person. Meanwhile Blackwell Falls is full of hot guys willing and ready to share.

I thought I would want all the details of Ethan's last moments and honestly I'm glad he didn't get more time. Seeing him behind the curtain like the Wizard of Oz, in his fear drenched hotel room, reeking of inadequacy and little man syndrome was beautiful.
Picturing the full circle moment and his panic was plenty. Thanks Sadie for letting me chose my own adventure in the tunnels.
As always I love the way the MMCs love. It's unfiltered and honest without taking away from their personalities.. they're strong and proud without being doormats but still bend with grace to meet Maeve where she is, the way she needs them. And she shows up for them in kind.

I had a feeling we weren't done with Blackwell Falls, Detective Rodriguez and the oddball in the slimfit pants. So curious to see what goes down.

Hey Sadie, can we get a little MMMF action this go around? The handy and ice cream sharing was HOT and such a tease.
