She’s the vet. He’s the reason she never came back. Grace Calderón swore she was done with cowboys, especially the one who broke her heart. But when a wildfire forces her home with a half-starved rescue horse, she ends up stranded at Wildstone Ranch… and face-to-face with Beau Wildstone. He’s older, rougher, and still too damn good at getting under her skin. She treats the wounded. He still knows where she’s softest. One rainstorm. One borrowed bed. One kiss that ruins all her good intentions. She says it’s a mistake. He says it’s unfinished business. And when the fire outside fades, the heat between them might be the one thing left burning.
This was a good read, sweet and poignant. You actually got a good feel for the characters even though this is a short read. Only one issue…the letters….did or didn’t he get them. One paragraph he’s saying he never got them, then the next he says he didn’t read them. Confusing. But I decided to let it go because the story overall is well written and throughly enjoyable.
A sweet second chance novella that is book 4 in the wildstone ranch series. It is Beau’s and Grace’s story and since it is a novella it does not go deep detail of their past. More of how they work out their differences once she is back at the ranch.
