This story grabs you from the very first chapter and keeps you intrigued from beginning to end. The plot is full of twists and elements that spark the imagination, making you want to read “just one more page” without being able to put the book down. The characters are well developed and create an emotional connection with the reader, making you feel part of their world. Without a doubt, I was left wanting more, and I can’t wait for the second part of this saga. For fantasy lovers, it is a must-read that I recommend 100%.

I don’t get any joy from writing this review, particularly because I have a feeling the author may be under 18. If that is the case, I think it is incredibly brave to put your work out into the world and allow others to read and critique it.

Unfortunately, I don’t feel this book was quite ready for publication. It needed several more rounds of ideation and review. There were instances where character names were spelled differently in different places. Along with that, this book is very short and could be expanded in its foreshadowing, world building, character development. This story has good bones, but needs more time and thought.

That said, please keep going. You clearly had a story you wanted to tell, and I would encourage you to go back, take your time, and continue working on it. Writing a book is an enormous effort and accomplishment in itself, but don't see publication for publication's sake as the goal. Every step of the process is important.

I wish I could give this book a higher starred rating, but I can't. I sincerely hope the author continues writing and growing, because I think there is value in seeing a young writer take the leap and share their work.
