Knowing that book three isn’t set to drop until 2027 is so disappointing. This will probably be my last incomplete series. I like the sense of completion I get when I finish a good book and I just don’t get that with series anymore.
With all that being said, this was a good second installment. It is slower than the last book but that’s to be expected. The author is building up this new villain and a conflict. The romance part of it was a… different. Not bad, but I guess I didn’t get it. Overall still like the story and hope I’m still interested when the next book comes out.
😭 I am literally crying right now. I just found this author and this series! I’ve fallen down the dystopian rabbit hole and this series has been soooo good. I didn’t even check to see if the first was a standalone of if the series was even finished!! I jumped in with both feet and it has been getting me through this snowstorm, I have been abrupt and giving my family the side-eye these books have been soo good. Jackson is “chef’s kiss” all alpha, all, a$$hole, but he is also all about Asia. Being at the farm and the drama that has been transpiring had me on pins and needles….and doggone Asia but I was looking at her with a side eye when reading because I was straight on the Jack train…this book has action, gore, drama, and all 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶. I hope this author writes fast because I need som mo of this series!!!
On everything......I hope we really don't have to wait a year for the final book 🥺 I'm not usually into post-apocalyptic reads, but this is one of the best series I've read! Jack and Asia, from the elevator to him walking away...chemistry off the charts! Here's hoping to them reuniting in the most epic fashion. Oh, and Bridget is a garden tool
