She’s the only one who makes him feel. He’s the last man she should trust.
Quentin Darcy hides his demons behind a perfect smile. Charm, good looks, and a reputation as the smoothest operator around—he wears them like armor. But one tough-talking bartender has always seen right through him. Harlowe Tate. Straight shooter. Big heart. Bad at staying out of trouble. And trouble’s exactly what finds her when her ex comes back looking for blood.
Quentin knows commitment isn’t in his DNA. He’s built walls no one’s ever broken through. But Lowey? She’s never been just anyone. And now, protecting her might cost him everything he’s tried so hard to bury. Because in their world, loyalty cuts deep, revenge runs darker, and some battles can’t be won without shedding a little blood.
She’s risking her life. He’s risking his soul. And neither of them is ready for the fallout.
For fans of angsty heat, forbidden loyalty, and broken men who’d burn the world for the right woman, Quentin is a gripping, heart-twisting ride you won’t want to miss. Fall back into Bourbon & Blood and discover how far he’ll go when the stakes turn deadly.

Her path to becoming a romance novelist was set when, rather than simply have her Barbie dolls cruise around in a pink convertible, they time traveled, hosted lavish dinner parties and one even had an evil twin locked in the attic.
I loved Quentin and Lowey's story! If you have been following the series until now, you were definitely ready for the final puzzle piece. Quentin broke up with Harlow, the owner of a local bar, several months ago. His life was turbulent and he didn't want to be tied down, so he walked out on her. Just when things seem settled and he decides to try again, Lowey's ex-husband reappears and makes the decision for them. I will not spoil the ending for you but certainly hope that we will see more of this town and it's new inhabitants
We finally get the conclusion of the last Darcy brother. Quentin is left feeling like the other shoe is going to drop- now that everything is resolved with their father being in exile, and new investors looking to fund the once failing Bourbon business, things seem to be going great. Quentin, least of all expects a woman to satisfy his feeling of wholeness. Lowey, runs a local tavern she inherited, and is met again by Quentin when he stumbles in drunk one night. This, again is a second chance love story, but unique enough to leave us loving the two characters. True to fashion, there is no lack of action in this final book-and a wonderful conclusion that gives every character we've met a happy ending.
Quentin is a fun read. Bowlin added a great story to the Fire Creek Saga. I really like that this series is set in my home state very close to where I live. This book pulls in the characters from the previous ones seamlessly. I liked the multiple POVs. It helped the story move along and told the story. Quentin is shown as very alpha but not invincible. Harlowe is a sassy heroine.
Quentin can't seem to get rid of the house size chip he has on his shoulder. He just can't seem to sit and get over what has happened to his mother and everything his father has ever done. He seems to make more enemies than friends, and one such enemy is the woman that got away. He kept her at arm's length with everything that Samuel Darcy was doing and what he was capable of doing. With his father out of the picture and the family business finally turning a corner everything should be looking up but Quentin can't seem to shake the feeling that he is missing something or someone. Harlow Or Lowey Tate runs the local bar she inherited. It's really the only local bar around. Quentin used her a few months back and he still is an emotion she has to resist for the sake of her heart. But when her past seems to be calling on her again she has no choice but to trust him again. H
Again the covers for this series are phenomenal, let me tell you. I judged each book by the cover. I also loved how each book goes along with the same timeline, like Quentin is during the thanksgiving that happens at the end of the other books. I feel like Quentin was a momma boys so it hits him harder being in the same house as her. And finding out the truth behind everything probably only makes it worse on him. I get that these Darcy’s tries to keep the ones they loved away from the hatefulness that is their father but dang they could at least give them a chance. Come on Lowey came out stronger from her divorce to an abusive man who cousin just so happens to be the corrupt Sheriff. Now that is the perfect badass chick. Not to mention she gave as good as she got with Quentin. She runs the local bar which that can alone be a test to how badass she is. I feel like this book is the perfect way to end this series, although i hope it's not the end because that beautiful baby girl Emma Grace needs a book. Not to mention their mom Patricia, i need to know what happens with them all.
Quentin was a mystery in the first two books but here we finally get his story. The last of the Darcy children- he is dealing with the actions of his father in his own ways. He broke Lowey's heart and once everything with his father had settled realized it was a mistake and decides to try and convince her to give him another chance. But Lowey isn't going to give in that easily. She's a great heroine with a no-nonsense attitude. She has had such a tough life you just want to best for her. This book also introduces a number of new villains to deal with and the aftermath of Samuel Darcy's actions still coming back to haunt his family. I hope this isn't the last book we see in this series.
Quentin and Harlow had a fling which ended abruptly… and one sided. Since they aren’t speaking, it is an unwelcome surprise when Quentin decides to visit Harlow one night at her bar… and then the trouble starts. What was a shattered relationship quickly turns into him doing everything he can to keep her safe. But Harlow has never been the damsel in distress type…
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
I think this one has been my favorite of the series. I love second chance love and family stories and boy oh boy did Quentin need a second chance! After a huge blowout with his half brother at Thanksgiving he stumbles into his former flames dive bar to have a drink. Harlow Tate is just as beautiful as he remembers and when danger begins inundating her life his protective instincts rise. Small town intrigue, murder, sex and family make a great tale. Recommended read!!!
I fell in love with this series with book one. I originally was just reading it cause it's set in KY where I live. Then I read the books and they are all outstanding reads. One can be read without the others but you will end up wanting to read them all.
