Lillian
It took a lot of hard work and sacrifices to get to stand on my own confidently as a single mom and freelancer.
Thankfully, the cozy town of Kastle Harbor has welcomed me and my daughter with open arms.
When my friend Olivia introduces me to a single doctor friend of hers, I start to question if I might be ready to date.
Especially around the holidays.
Lucas is a grinch wrapped in a charming, handsome exterior.
He melts my heart with every interaction he shares with Poppy.
But I worry things are moving too fast between us.
How can I go from focusing solely on raising Poppy to making room in my life for Lucas?

Lucas
After a house fire left me with scars covering half of my body, I’ve been self-conscious about a lot of things.

Instead of focusing on relationships, I turned my focus to becoming the best pediatric doctor possible.
Now I’m thirty-five and single.
My Christmas loving family does nothing but nag me about my lonely life.
When my best friend Olivia urges me to take a stunning stranger out for dinner, I hesitantly agree.
I’m not looking for a relationship, especially with someone who has a child and probably wants a serious relationship.
Lillian is kind, caring, and makes me want to search out mistletoe just to kiss her.
Everything moves at an accelerated rate and after we spend a night together, I’m worried I can’t give her the holiday cheer filled life she’s wanting.
How can I commit to someone if I can’t even tell them about my scars?

Lucas Wright and Olivia have been best friends since elementary school. She was there for him when the fire happened. The fire changed them both. Olivia became a firefighter and Lucas became a pediatric doctor. He is self-conscious of the scars on his body from the fire. He has focused on work instead of relationships. He is thirty-five and single. He is back in Kastle Harbor to spend the holidays with his family. They own the tree farm and it is decorated for Christmas all year long.

Lucas is in town visiting Olivia at the bookstore. She wants him to take her Friday night reservation at the Waterfront Bistro. Olivia and Kristen introduce Lucas to Lillian. Lillian and her nine-year-old daughter Poppy moved to town recently. Poppy is best friends with Kristen’s daughter Riley. Lillian is a single mom and freelance accountant. Olivia and Kristen basically force Lucas and Olivia to take the reservation and go on a date. Kristen tells Lillian that she will take Poppy for a sleepover with Riley. They agree and exchange numbers.

Both Lucas and Lillian were so cute because both of them were excited but nervous about going on a date. Both have struggles and scars. Lucas has a big family but is still insecure about his physical scars. He is also grumpy since he has been surrounded by Christmas decorations his whole life. Lillian’s family disowned her when she had Poppy, so she struggles as a single mom with no family support. Her scars are emotional ones. I wanted them to get along because I thought they could be good together.

Lillian, a hardworking single mom, has fought tirelessly to carve out a life for herself and her daughter, Poppy, in the welcoming town of Kastle Harbor. Just as she starts to feel confident in her independence, fate (and a well-meaning friend) introduces her to Lucas—a brooding yet undeniably charming pediatric doctor with his own hidden scars, both literal and emotional.

What follows is a tender and slow-burning romance that balances humor, vulnerability, and heartfelt moments. Lucas’s struggle to accept himself and Lillian’s journey to make room for love while protecting her heart and her daughter create a story that feels authentic and deeply relatable. Their chemistry is palpable, their hesitations understandable, and every interaction, from sweet everyday moments to holiday magic, will make you smile—and maybe shed a tear.

Tori Fields masterfully captures the joys, fears, and compromises of starting over, showing that love isn’t just about passion—it’s about trust, courage, and allowing yourself to be seen. With the holidays as the perfect backdrop, Infinite Ink is a story about finding hope in unexpected places and discovering that love, like ink, can leave a lasting mark.

For fans of heartwarming, slow-burn romance, this book delivers all the cozy feels, emotional depth, and swoon-worthy moments you could ask for. It’s impossible not to root for Lillian, Lucas, and Poppy as they navigate love, scars, and the magic of new beginnings.

Short but addictive so hang on you won’t put it down until the last page has been turned. Lilian is a single mom worked hard as a freelancer sacrificed to stand on her own taking care of her family moving to Kastle Harbor where the residents welcomed them like they were family, she is introduced to the doctor by her friend and she is sure he doesn’t want to date or even speak to her in fact he is rather grumpy. Lucas sexy as all get out doctor with a reputation of being a grumpy grinch especially around the holiday times but he takes to her daughter like a duck takes to water but he wants everything, love, relationship but after being in a fire that burned over half his body something women don’t want to see over the years he has gotten use to it and expects very little so when his best friends sets him up on a date he agrees but everything he expected well fate had a hand in it. The magnetic pull is there from the beginning despite his issues he never felt the way he does with Lillian and her daughter makes him see past it all but will she still accept him when she learns the truth, see past is all, will he brave enough to tell her his truth, and can they find their own form of happiness somewhere along the way?

Lilian goes on a not-so blind date with Lucas, and things move fast - everything seems to click into place - Lucas getting along with Poppy, Lilian's daughter, the pair fitting in with Lucas's family..... although both are in disbelief that things can be so good. Especially one grumpy doctor, whom out of fear, suddenly breaks up with her. After he realises his mistake he decides he needs a grand gesture to make it up to her.

I absolutely adored this wonderfully sweet story that had me in delight in the beginning and tearing for them in the middle. There was great chemistry and amusing banter between the two main characters, and all the side characters were super fun as well. Overall super fun book and swoony sweet.

I picked up this book as part of the Pinch of Grinch series. I loveeeee grumpy-sunshine stories and have been enjoying quite a few books from the series! And also the author is completely new to me, and I'm so glad I found her - I will have to read more of her work now!.

Single mother Lillian is raising her daughter Poppy alone

The little duo is looking for some Christmas Magic and find it with single doctor Lucas. Lucas is back in Kastle Harbor after years of school and internship. The two are set up by his childhood friend Olivia and click immediately. The trouble comes when Lillian begins to ask questions about his scars. Poor Lucas hasn't dated much and says absolutely the wrong thing after a night of passion. Thankfully his brother and friends give the Grinchy Lucas a gentle push in the way to make amends. Cute story about a second chance to win his HEA and build a new life.

Lillian and Lucas

INFINITE INK is part of the multi-authored Pinch of Grinch series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, opposites-attract, forced-proximity, single mom gets her doctor Christmas romance. Lillian is a single mom and accountant. Lucas is a hunky, grinchy, pediatrician who is scarred. The two end up going on a date unexpectedly and quickly hit it off. The next day, Lillian and her daughter spend the day with Lucas. Things quickly get hot and steamy, until he pulls away. Can he let her in? These two had great chemistry and the ending was so happy after a bit of angst.

This was one of my favorite Pinch of Grinch book so far. Lillian is a single mother by choice. Raising her daughter is her first priority. Giving Poppy the best Christmas ever is her goal. Lucas is a pediatrician a returning home to visit his family is a challenge with their year round holiday celebration. When Lucas is talked into taking Lillian on a date he never expected to be captivated and charmed by her and her daughter. Loved it.

Lucas is a doctor who hasn't dated in years because of the scars that were left on him after a fire. Lillian is a single mom who always puts her daughter first. When these two meet, sparks fly, and they find love when they least expect to. This is a short, holiday romance with believable characters and a happily ever after. Infinite Ink is a sweet and steamy addition to the multi-author Pinch of Grinch series. I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

A sweet Holiday grumpy/sunshine romance. Lucas is not a fan of Christmas. A bit of match making by his friends brings Lillian and her daughter into his life. Sparks fly but can Lucas leave his past behind and find forever? Christmas magic, vulnerability, humor, realizations and a lovely HEA.
