Aspen Springs #3

My Three Hometown Alphas

Rate this book
I didn’t expect to see him when I walked into my new nanny gig.

Owen Kingston—the soldier with sky-blue eyes who once kissed me breathless in an airport.
A one-night stand that rocked my world as it was falling apart.

Now he’s standing in the doorway with his two brothers at his side.
He’s haunted. Broody. And still ruining me with one look.

Will—the oldest Kingston brother—is a protective guardian to his niece. He’s way too tempting to be my summer employer.
And Miles—the tattooed flirt who leans in close, whispers filthy promises, and dares me to misbehave.

Now I’ve got three new bosses.
The way these off-limit alphas run the family hardware store and raise their niece as if she were their own…
Ugh, temptation in Aspen Springs is as abundant as the family dinners.
I keep getting lost in both.

I’ve been dished up the hardest choice of my life—
Go back, or let the Kingston brothers be my forever home.

I was only supposed to be one summer.
But they’ve claimed me… and I don’t think they’ll ever let me walk away.

My Three Hometown Alphas is a standalone MFMM why choose romance in the “Aspen Springs” series. Get ready for small-town rom-com vibes, a shocking one-night stand reunion, and three sinfully hot brothers. No swords cross, but hammers swing. Ultra cozy HEA.

Lacey Day has officially converted me to reverse harem romances. I loved this book and want to move to Aspen Springs immediately.

This book follows the same winning recipe as the rest of the Aspen Springs series. Told from multiple pov it follows our FMC as she falls for her three guys.

In this case we’re introduced to the confident, intelligent , stunningly beautiful Avery who falls for handsome but hurting brothers Owen, Will and Miles.

This was a surprisingly emotional journey working through grief and loss. The relationship was fun, heart warming and exciting. It was nice and spicy too of course, but not the main focus of the story.

A must read for all reverse harem fans.

another good read

Super cute story. Though it needs one more good read through to text rid of silly typos. Looking forward to the next book.

Is Aspen springs a real town? Asking for a friend.

But seriously Aspen springs claims a new addition to its tight nit community.
If you love books about sassy women, meddlesome 8 year olds and 3 alpha males who are already completely wrapped around their fingers then this books for you.

Lacey Day is the queen of writing small town RH romances but I think this may be my favourite. Be warned this book comes with a lot of emotion so I highly suggest tissues but I promise they do all get the happy ending they deserve.

I’m not a big believer in a lot of things but fate, serendipity? Those two I can absolute agree on. These two words are how I would describe the relationships in this book. Avery and Owen met at one of the worst times of their lives but for that brief encounter they found peace for a few hours. I actually loved their meeting, it was such a wholesome moment the instant attraction they had, I’m not sure if I believe in soul mates but with this book that’s exactly what I would say about Avery and Owen’s story. 4 years later they meet again, the chemistry is still there but both have gone through some tough times.

I loved a quote that was used in the book it said “Somehow, she’s found a way to be the perfect fit for each of us.”
It fits so perfectly with this.
Owen understands her loss, he is her comfort and shield.
Miles is her joy, the one to always make everyone else laugh even if it’s a way to shield his own grief. Which Avery sees through straight away and helps him to understand that he doesn’t always need to be the one trying to make everyone happy.
Will as the oldest brother he has so much weight on his shoulders he tries to take on all the responsibilities so his brothers don’t have to. Avery sees this and reminds him he isn’t alone and has others to lean on and help support him.

And lastly Lyla, what an absolute adorable kid she is. It breaks my heart all that she has been through at such a young age but she hasn’t lost her spark. She is the sweetest and most sassy 8 year old. Shes super intuitive and watchful and understands more than she should. She has her three uncles completely wrapped around her little fingers and builds such a beautiful bond with Avery. Lyla and Avery are so very alike, both losing parents at such a young age, they understand each other and have a truly special connection because of it. I just loved their relationship.

All three guys have finally found happiness when all they saw was darkness in their future. Avery walked into their lives and become what each of them needed and they did the same for her. Together with Lyla they are able to slowly heal from their losses.
More than that though, they become a family, one filled with laughter, happiness and so much love.
I honestly can’t recommend this book enough, it is part of an interconnected series and while I suggest reading them in order it’s not a must and you can just read this as a standalone.
You won’t regret it either way because all the books are amazing.

The first book of Lacey’s that I got emotional in because I wasn’t sure there would be a happy ending…..

Better than expected

The title is a bit misleading (there is not a hint of omegaverse and the guys are not excessively macho or overly dominant in any way). The cartoonish cover almost led me to skip this book because so many with similar covers are very low quality reads. This one definitely stands out from the mold though.

Avery is a pretty great FMC. Smart, funny, independent but willing to be wrapped up in a loving relationship. This character works very well in so many ways. She does have some odd moments of almost snark that pop up in the form of poor humor but it's not awful and never makes me dislike her at all.
The meet-cute moment is a bit bizarre and the similar trip into a lap move used later in the book left me pondering the physics of her falls both times. It... works overall but the... let's call it speedy movement by Owen and Avery at first meet was unnecessary and doesn't fit really well with the rest of what we see for either character.
Owen as a character is also very well written. He's a decent book boyfriend nominee. Some of the little details with his experience don't work. He wouldn't be able to just leave the military that easily. It doesn't ruin the story but it throws up little flags that wouldn't exist if he had any other profession, and him being military doesn't add value to the story.
Will and Miles are both reasonably perfect. Both characters are consistent throughout their time on page, the life experiences make sense, and their reactions during the relationship building are reasonable. They both work really well.
The side characters are all really great. From Lyla all the way to the random old ladies at the coffee shop, they fit well into the story, and they don't take over the story but do add value and humor along the way.
The storyline is ok but it's not perfect by any means. It is a bit slow and repetitive on some of the dark background details, especially in the first half of the book, but the ending flows better and wraps up well. There are a lot of incongruous details that left me questioning what the author was trying to do. For example, Avery is in college in Atlanta but going home to Austin to take care of her father but is still in college in Atlanta. Now I'm not the most geographically brilliant but even I know Atlanta to Austin is not a feasible commute, so something is wonky with the story details to make this make sense.

Overall, it's a really decent RH HEA story with decent characters, no melodramatics or over the top nonsense, and a decent dollop of humor.

Where She Belongs . . .

Owen Kingston first met Avery as he waited in an airport, his 6'4" body squeezed into a too-small seat and his feet stretched in front of him. A woman hurrying past tripped over his legs and he caught her, pulling her into his lap. Their back-and-forth teasing made it seem they were meant for each other, and the kiss was perfect. But when she asked where he was flying to, she saw the change in his features. He was heading home on leave because his twin sister was dying. And the two of them comforted each other as if they had known each other forever.

Owen's brother Will answered his phone and his younger brother Miles asked if he had hired a nanny yet to care for their 8-year-old niece Lyla over the summer. Other nannies didn't want a short-term job like that, so they were lucky to find one. And the woman who walked toward him when he parked to pick her up was gorgeous. It didn't take long before he laughed and called her a little rebel! She promised to be a good girl, but he didn't believe that at all! Avery had assumed Will was Lyla's dad. Will introduced Avery to Lyla and the girl was amazing and funny. Avery liked her immediately. Another man, younger than Will but very similar in features, walked in commenting on the "hot nanny". Will groaned and told Miles to behave. It's all Avery can do to keep from laughing at the brothers. When Lyla laughingly tells her that her uncles are so annoying sometimes... Avery is confused as to which one is really her father? Will tells her they are her uncles and she lives with them. A car door slams as another man opens the door and walks in -- after 4 years, standing there is Owen! She looks at the family, tears in her eyes. Then Owen puts his arms around her. He shows her the guest house where she will stay; but they both agree to no relationship. He is different now, haunted and broody, and he feels she deserves better. And her dad died just 2 months ago. So it's for the best... they think.

As expected, Avery fits right into the family. There is so much love among all of them as they raise their niece Lyla as if she belonged to each of them. And by the time summer is over, Avery just may have become part of them too. Will she head for California for an internship as planned? Or will she choose to stay here with the family who loves her? Because it doesn't feel like they will let her walk away anymore.

Avery, a woman radiating confidence and beauty, finds herself entangled in a complex and deeply emotional romance with three handsome but profoundly grieving brothers: Owen, Will, and Miles. Their shared journey navigates the intricate landscape of grief and loss, creating a narrative that is at once heart-warming, exciting, and laced with a compelling, yet tastefully handled, sensuality. The focus remains steadfastly on the emotional depth and character development, rather than an overt emphasis on the "spicy" elements.

The initial spark between Owen and Avery ignited at an airport, a poignant meeting where they bonded over the shared ache of impending loss. His twin sister and her father were both succumbing to illness, creating a foundation of empathy and understanding between them. Four years later, fate intervenes when Avery accepts a nanny position in the picturesque town of Aspen Springs. To her surprise, she discovers that her new employers are none other than Owen and his brothers, Will and Miles.

Avery seamlessly integrates into the fabric of their family, quickly forming a loving bond with their niece, Lyla, who is in their care. Despite initial agreements to maintain a professional distance, an undeniable connection blossoms, drawing Avery deeper into their lives. All three brothers find themselves irresistibly drawn to her, unable to keep their distance, and Avery, in turn, finds herself falling for them. She becomes an indispensable part of their loving, albeit unconventional, family unit.

This burgeoning relationship forces Avery to confront a difficult choice: pursue a promising internship that could define her career, or stay with the family who has opened their hearts and home to her, offering a love she never anticipated. This particular narrative forms the third instalment in a captivating series, skilfully continuing to explore new relationships and character arcs while seamlessly reincorporating beloved characters from previous books. The story is a rich tapestry woven with moments of both joyous laughter and profound tears, offering readers an immersive and emotionally resonant experience.

Avery and Owen meet in an airport bar. Avery is still grieving the loss of her father, and Owen is on his way home to see his twin sister, Olivia, who has cancer and is terminal. They decide to hook up and then they both go their separate ways.

Four years later, they meet again when Avery takes a nanny position for Owen’s niece, Lyla (Olivia’s daughter), who lost her mother four years ago. Owen lives in the same house as his two brothers, Will and Miles, and wouldn’t you know it? They are looking like they are also attracted to Avery.

Owen and Miles are both willing to be in a relationship with Avery together, but Will isn’t so sure. Until he is, and he stops fighting the pull to be with her. Avery doesn’t understand how she can have these feelings for all three men, but it is what it is, and she’s not fighting it. And when she meets their parents, she is pulled into the family. Avery loves meeting his parents and thinks they have a beautiful family. It’s cathartic for Avery and it helps her with the grief she still feels about the loss of her father.

Things move on, healing begins and love moves in. She knows it is unconventional to be with three men at once, but she doesn’t care. Her heart loves who her heart loves.

This was a wonderful story. There were some fun times, Avery loved hanging out with Lyla, and there were some very emotional times. In the end, with the love of three wonderful men, Avery is able to move past her grief and embrace love and happiness with Will, Miles and Owen.

MY THREE HOMETOWN ALPHAS is book 3 in the Aspen Springs series. It's a steamy, reverse harem, one-night stand to more, small-town romance. Owen, Miles and Will are three hunky brothers raising their 8 year old niece after her mom passed 4 years ago. All are still grieving in a sense. When they need to hire a temporary nanny, Avery takes the job, also grieving the loss of her father. In a twist of fate, Avery and Owen had a hot one night stand 4 years ago when they met at the airport. Owen had been on his way home to see his terminal sister. They had an intense connection but went their separate ways. I think their meet cute is one if my favorites in a book ever. Now, she and Owen have changed and say they will be professional, but rules are meant to be broken. She ends up bonding with each of the brothers and their niece, becoming a strong family of sorts. They all help to heal each other. But she is set to take an internship. What will she do? Will she stay or go?

Lacey Day is quickly becoming one of my favorite reverse harem authors. She writes these emotional stories that pull at the heartstrings. They are steamy, which is amazing, but there is so much emotion and depth her stories too. I loved these characters so much. Their chemistry was pure fire. Have the tissues ready and buckle up for this emotional rollercoaster ride that does end in an amazing HEA. Is Aspen Springs a real place and can I move there too??.

I absolutely loved reading this book. This was the third book in the series and each book brings out new relationships but also the characters in previous stories are in this one as well. This book made me laugh and it made me cry. Owen is on his way home from being in the military to spend time with his twin sister who has been diagnosed with brain cancer and he is absolutely devastated. While he is sitting in the airport, he stretches his legs out and trips over a beautiful young lady, who introduces herself as Avery. Avery is on her way home to Texas to spend time with her father who has also been diagnosed with cancer and these two characters bond over a shared heartache and have a sexual tryst in a storage room at the airport. Fast forward four years and Avery is on her way to Aspen Springs for a nanny job, when she arrives there, she discovers Owen he has held a place in her heart since she met him four years ago. His eldest brother Will and younger brother Miles are all attracted to her and eventually they can’t keep themselves away and they start their relationship. Thinking it’s only for the summer, but their feelings become involved and they go on to live a happily ever after.

I'm ready to move to Aspen Springs! Aspen Springs Book 3 brings us into another amazing storyline with small town vibes, where you laugh, you cry, the spice is spicing and you are rooting for the HEA. Amazing hot one “airport’ stand when Owen and Avery have a meet cute moment where they make an instant connection that gets the emotions flowing right away but turns super spicy in a bathroom before they go their separate ways. Four years Avery finds herself being a nanny to the niece of 3 super hot brothers and one of them happens to be Owen. Will and Miles round out the brotherhood and Avery struggles with her feelings for all 3 of them while taking care of their niece Lyla for the Summer. Feelings develop all around including this sassy sweet little girl. But you have to read it because I refuse to spoil it.
I loved that the author gave you more than just the lead up to them finding each other, healing all the hurts that they have in common and falling in love. Most books once they make that final connection, its over but this book gives you chapters beyond that and I absolutely love that continuation of their storyline as it give a much needed conclusion/closure for me.

I need to move to Aspen Springs immediately

Every book is this series has been fantastic.

This book was the very emotional and you may need some tissues, I certainly did.

So of course we have the meeting in the airport that starts with them bonding over health issues in their family and leads to super hot sex with a stranger that you can't seem to forget.

Needing something new Avery takes on a nanny job for an 8 year old. When she arrives she meets the girl and two of her uncles. However, when the man she couldn't forget walks in her world stands still.

This is a beautiful family. All five of these people are still healing from loss and together that pain may finally be less sharp.

I absolutely adored Lyla. This little girl lost her mother and her father was never in the picture. This family was still hurting and especially Owen because he lost his twin.

Avery us only here for a few months before she has an internship. What will they do now that they have all broken through their walls. Lyla is such a storm for change and she hears things the guys don't.

I need to live is this town because its absolutely perfect. This town seems to be where love lives.

Healing Hearts in Aspen Springs

Another wonderful read from Lacey Day and she has quickly became one of my favorite authors.

Avery and Owen first meet at the Dallas airport, bonding over their shared grief and spending one unforgettable hour together an encounter that stays with them for the next four years.

After losing someone dear to her, Avery moves to Aspen Springs to work as a nanny for the Kingston men and their spirited eight-year-old niece, Lyla. Will, the oldest brother, carries the weight of responsibility. Owen, the ex-military middle brother, is quiet and reserved. And Miles, the youngest, is blunt, mischievous, and impossible not to love.

Together, Avery, the three brothers, and Lyla navigate the pain of loss while slowly finding comfort, healing, and love in one another. This story beautifully captures both the ache of grief and the power of connection.

One of my favorite parts of Lacey’s writing is how she seamlessly weaves in familiar faces from earlier books in the series, it always feels so heartwarming to revisit them. I can’t wait to see what she gives us next.

My Three Hometown Alphas - Lacey Day

I always enjoy reading the authors books. I haven’t found one written by this author that I didn’t absolutely love. The dynamics and chemistry between the main couple is always so fun and engaging. And of course, I love the side characters. Avery, Will, Owen, and Miles were so fun to read, and I love their backstory with Liv and Lyla. I also really enjoy seeing the previous characters from the other books as well. The authors writing is truly addictive and I know I’m gonna have a great time reading it.

So…. This book had A LOT of feels…it was beautiful, sexy, humorous, heartfelt, happy, with found Family vibes😍

But…I do think it might be good to note that there are some tough things to read here, for certain people. Death is the primary trigger, in multiple ways, of a young mother (leaving her young child behind, and her twin brother and 2 other brothers to raise the girl), the FMC also has lost her own mom (off pg) at a young age then loses her father to cancer (discussed but not as much as the other)…so if this sounds like something that would be hard for you to read just be aware.

Having said that, it is a really beautiful, sweet, triumphant book. About love, surviving, finding new purpose, healing from trauma. There are of course, lots of sexy times as well, and as usual Lacey does a phenomenal job with them too.

Avery and Owen meet in Dallas airport and have a one time hookup that leaves a last memory for both of them. They meet again when Avery takes on a nanny position for Lyla who is the niece of Will, Owen and Miles and under their care.
This is a beautifully written story that deals with loss of family members through illness (cancer). It demonstrates that people handle grief in different ways and Avery plays a key role in recognising how each brother is grieving for their sister and Lyla her mother.
The chemistry between Avery and her men is sweet with a touch of spice. It's not an overly raunchy story but it will satisfy most readers as it explores both the physical and emotional relationship Avery builds with each man.

This book has it all. Small, mountain town (my favorite). Alpha males who want to protect and care for those they love. Grumpy and bossy older brother. A moody and slightly grumpy middle brother who is struggling through his grief. Funny and sweet younger brother. The sassiest and take no crap FMC who speaks her mind and doesn’t hold back. The sweetest little girl who is surrounded by love. Second chance at love. Always been you. The HAPPIEST EVER AFTER! Big and small acts of love. They save the day. They all save each other. And each of the MMCs is something that our FMC needed and vice versa. She gives them something they all need. Some fantastic spice and all the sharing!! I LOVED THIS BOOK and shed some serious happy tears. Talk about feel good.

Highly recommend this book to everyone.

This book has so many emotions going. I cried several times throughout the story. The characters' relationships are so sweet and genuine as well. this story start out with a chance encounter at an airport. The FMC and one of her future men meet and connect over shared trauma of family members with cancer. This theme continues throughout the story as all main characters lose a loved one to cancer. The guys' niece Lyla made me laugh so much! She was the perfect spunky 8 year old added into this story. Her ability to read people and her sass connected the family dynamic so well. Overall I would definitely recommend this story! The spice was good but not super detailed. A lot of times it was eluded to but not described though there are several super steamy scenes. This story does end with an HEA!

What a pleasantly surprising read. The introduction to Avery (FMC) and Owen (1 of the 3 brother) felt a little rushed for me in the beginning and there were grammatical errors, but I was able to quickly move past that as the story progressed.

This book pulled at all kinds of hearts strings. I was looking for an easy, low drama RH/romance read, but this book threw me a curve ball. The grief and loss that the reader is able to feel for these characters was shocking. Avery’s love and connection she finds with Lyla and each brother healed something inside me. How they were able to find comfort in one another with the space to mourn the loved ones they have lost. I didn’t expect to feel their pain so deeply, but there’s no denying I did. The emotional depth of this author’s writing for what was supposed to be a cute, funny romance made this a 4 star for me.

I don’t usually read the why choose trope but something about this story caught my attention. One woman with three men? Hello!

Well written and great characters keep me invested in this story so much I stayed up late to finish it. Avery and Owen meet at an airport and connect quickly, in a family restroom. Four years go by and Avery is hired by Will’s brother to be a nanny for their niece for the summer. All of the Kingston brothers are sexy, handsome men who are in charge of Lyla, the niece. Miles, Owen and Will all slowly fall in love with Avery and she’s not far behind. But the job awaiting her at the end of the summer hangs over their heads.

Sweet, sexy times three in a town with other quad couples! HEA!.

Sweetly different + HEA
This is a heartwarming romantic story where love is not conventional but sometimes that is exactly what you need. Found family after grief. Great characters whose emotions felt real and tangible, handled in a respectful manner. This is my first time reading a book by this author and I found the writing style easy to read with an appropriate pace throughout. Add in some spicy no-need-to-choose romance and end it with a HEA and you’ve got the right mix for an enjoyable read. I received this a free copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review. TW: cancer, death (off-page), grief.

Battered and breaking hearts find solace together in an unexpected connection then walk away.

Then chance brings them and his family together again.

This book deals with a lot of grief without getting bogged down in it. It focuses on a family finding joy again with a woman who also begins to heal.

There is humor, spice (although not as much as some books since there is a lot of time spent with the niece), sweetness, and an all encompassing love for three brothers - their family, their town, their future.

An enjoyable read.

I loved reading this book. The characters are struggling to move on and really live again, while dealing with a sassy 8-year-old who lost her mother.
Four years ago, Owen and Avery met by chance at the Dallas airport while both were dealing with family cancer diagnoses. They shared a brief, meaningful connection before parting ways. After her father's death, Avery moves to Colorado for a nanny job, hoping to heal. She discovers Owen is one of the three brothers raising their niece. As Avery settles in, old feelings resurface, and she wonders if they can all move beyond their grief and find love together.

Wow! I don't think I've ever cried as much as I did while reading this heart melting story. Beautifully written, this tale will be tugging at your heartstrings from page one and right through to the end.
The characters will melt even the most frozen of hearts, as they find their way to healing, and at the middle of it all is an eight year old who will steal you away while her adults find their way to each other.
A beautiful story about loss and how love carries them through it all, even as unconventional as it is!
Absolutely loved it!.

I went in expecting chaos and somehow got feelings too. Avery walking into her nanny job and finding her airport hookup standing there was the kind of awkward that makes you bite your lip and laugh. The brothers were distinct enough to keep things interesting, though I still had a tiny moral crisis every few chapters. The emotional beats hit hard, especially around grief and family, which I didn’t see coming from a book that also talks about hammers swinging. Pacing was smooth but a little too sweet at times, like the author didn’t want to leave anyone sad for long. Still, it was warm, spicy, and just the right amount of small-town ridiculous.

Avery meets Owen in an airport. They have an instant connections and that leads to a storage closet. Four years later Avery finds Owen again only this time it’s just not him it’s his two brothers Miles and Will as well. As with the previous two books the characters reappear and add not only familiarity but add to a lot of the books humor. For Avery the bigger question becomes what happens when her time there is up. This is a great read and addition to this series.

I am so loving Lacey Day's books, this latest story in the Aspen Springs collection is amazing. I couldn't put it down, it has made me shed a few tears and laugh out loud so many times. It is heart warming but also very steamy.
As with all the other books in these collections, this one is no exception, with a strong and beautiful storyline and a brilliant collection of characters, it can be read as a stand alone but combined with the earlier stories they make for great reading.

Anytime I am in a reading funk I just read one of Lacey Days books and it all turns around. This one was my favorite. I love that there was no surprise baby and the story stayed focused on Avery and her men. There was also so much of Avery and Lyla bonding, so sweet. Owen and Avery were hands down the best and I usually love the flirty make you laugh characters, but ugh the chemistry of Owen 😍. This one had all the feel for me and just made me love RH even more. Cant wait to read about the Rivers boys next 😜.

Such a sweet and heartfelt read.

I really appreciated how the author wove in themes of grief and the loss of loved ones—it was powerful and moving. The connection between Layla and Avery was beautifully written, and the vulnerability of the guys, along with their openness to emotions, added so much depth.

This story has it all: lost love, new love, and found family.

We also get to see characters from the other two Aspen Springs books, but this one can absolutely be read as a standalone.

Omg!!!! Another good read by Lacey Day.

I absolutely loved this book. I loved reading Avery, Owen, Will, and Miles story. And Layla was absolutely adorable!!! I call Lacey Day's small town books my Hallmark after dark; you will laugh out loud, cry, fuss, swoon with all the love and fan yourself during the hot scenes. You will not be disappointed. I love how the author intertwines the other characters into from previous books into the next. You will notice be disappointed if you pick up this book

My only negative was I didn't want it to end.
