First I want to thank the author Nicola Hayes and Booksprout for an ARC of this book 📖. Even though it wasn’t my favorite book it was still good. Loved the romance between Emmett and Delilah throughout this book!❤️ and I loved when Emmett stood up for Delilah in this book especially against his own family.
I also loved how they both protected each other in this book 📖. And I recommend this book. And I can’t wait to read other books by Nicola Hayes. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I have been looking forward to Emmett's and Delilah's story, getting to know them better has so been worth the wait. The story drew me in right from the start, I felt their pain, grief, confusion and doubts, I wanted to hug them, protect them and beg them to be honest with each other.
The deception and wrong doing in this wasn't such a surprise to me as I have read the previous books in this series, but there was one scene that almost stopped me from breathing as I was not expecting what happened. There were painful moments and tender moments that made me want to cry, shared happiness, and then there were Emmett's and Delilah's interactions, their banter, their texting and the things that just came out of Delilah's mouth - I laughed, smiled and went 'ok then' during these.
I loved that they saw each other so well, that they loved each other so much, supported and protected one another, and I hope they thanked Mother Nature for her little shove. I really loved who Emmett became in this, who they are have become in this series, they have been through so much and have come out stronger, happier, more fulfilled and surround by so much love.

They were better than I expected, AND I expected a lot. Making the last book about Emmett and Delilah was smart. I don't think it would have fit in the middle. They were like fireworks, feeding off each others energy as well as providing space for one another. They were two of my favorite background characters through the series, so to read them done right in this book was a real gift. I'll definitely be rereading this one soon.

Emmett and Delilah’s story is one filled with sizzling chemistry and a connection that runs deep. What starts out as one night together slowly builds into a life changing romance. I loved these two together. Emmett has guilt from events in the past that he struggles with but Delilah is determined to not lose the man she has loved for years.

daphne was my favorite character throughout character out of all. however, their story was not as exciting as i thought. it was still great and i loved that emmett was able to find closure from his suffocating past.

Get ready to read a romance book that will take you on a fantastic journey between Emmett and Delilah. There’s nothing better than staying home and reading what I consider to be the best 5-star book by Nicola. Of course, I really love all of her books I have read so far but this one has become my newest favorite by her. This is a book you will love reading.

This is an interconnected series and I shouldn’t have skipped to this one. It still worked, but I missed more context than I would have liked. Great story though.

I was looking forward to Emmett and Delilah’s book the whole series and it did not disappoint. They were so cute together and they were able to stay true to themselves.
