Hi, I’m Lola! I’m a book lover with a *slight* romance obsession. My books are all steamy romantic fantasy or paranormal romance, and there is always a happily ever after.

The FMC goes to the grocery store in search of a werewolf after reading a smutty werewolf novel… only to actually find one—and apparently, she’s his mate. It’s hilarious, fast-paced, and such a fun little escape. I was laughing out loud the whole time. I did struggle a bit with how to rate the spice. It’s technically open door with multiple scenes, but they aren’t super detailed, and the book is only 145 pages. I’d call this a spicy novella that even low-spice readers could enjoy.
I think I smiled throughout this whole book!!! ❤️ And so many LOL moments!!! ❤️ It was absolutely a great time reading this and I can’t wait for more in this silly, sweet, romantic Werewolf series of awesomeness where the She-Werewolf gets the official & last say a.k.a Bite 💋🐺💋🐺💋 ❣️Loved it❣️
Abby would definitely be in my kooky friend group of absolute nuts…lol: “I’d been insane enough to go hunting for a werewolf in my horny, sleep-deprived state” 😂🤣🤣🙃 and off to the grocery store we go!!! 🤩 🤘 This was just awesome:
Oh, I learned something new, Thanks Cucumber …oopsie, I mean Nico: “There are six different roles among werewolves. Alpha, Beta, Delta, Gamma, Omega, and Sigma.” - never heard of a Sigma before!! Nifty!!! 🤓
“The Bookish Girl’s Guide to Mating with a Werewolf” is a sizzlingly spicy novella by Lola Glass. It is a paranormal romance, and the beginning of a potential novella series called “Mate Hunted”. After a long night reading a werewolf romance, English professor Abby is determined to find a werewolf of her own, and Moon Ridge is apparently the place to do it. Hunted by Nico, the Alpha of the Feral Pack, Abby and Nico must adjust to her new life, balancing teaching and being a fated mate pair. “Mate Hunted” exists in the Mate Hunt world and includes members of the Feral Pack series.
A 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 spicy novella, Nico and Abby are undeniably attracted to each other, finding heat and desire between them. There’s still some plot, but there’s a lot of spice and a lot more spicy moments.
Abby is living out her monster romance dreams, and I’m only *slightly* jealous. Living out her Bookish dreams as the main character rather than a spectator, we see her take on the role of an Alpha. Although Nico tells her that Insta-love in werewolves isn’t real (breaking my heart here), the bond and attraction between them is genuine. I also really appreciate that the FMC (and her friends/future FMCs) are in their late twenties (Abby is 28) and are professors rather than students. It’s a refreshing twist!
Due to being a novella, we do not get an extensive and full-on love story between Nico and Abby. We get moments of love, passion, friendship, and devotion amidst passing time to race us through the story. We also do not meet the rest of the pack in greater detail, but that may be due to them existing in the Feral Pack series.
I look forward to seeing further novellas from the Feral Pack. I am already excited for Graham and Stella’s story!
If you want a sweet and spicy read (even for a quick read), her books are where it’s at! If Lola Glass writes it, I read it!
Gosh, Lola Glass continues to be a comfort read author. Very formulaic, but it is always good. The characters feel real, and their banter is authentic. I rarely have a cringe moment during the dialogue.
Ok staaaaap this was cuuuute. Go in expecting fluff and ladies will you recieve! What a cute quick fun read. Nothing too serious and really a sweet story line. Just a wolf in a grocery store!
From the book covers to the story and the HEA, I can never get enough of Lola glass's stories!
Did I gasp and run right to my kindle when I realized there was something new? Why yes, yes I did.
Abby is a professor who loves reading werewolf smut and she goes on the hunt for her very own werewolf. In a supermarket. And over some cucumbers and a crashed cart, she finds her mate. Nico transforms into his wolf to start the mating bond.
Abby is great. Though a little crazy at first, though in her defense she's sleep deprived from reading all night....we totally understand that. she's comfortable in her own body, curves and cellulite and all...and she looks loves books.
Nico is a great book boyfriend. Hes very sexy & he wants Abby like crazy but is so respectful. Knowing his friends have been rejected he hesitates because he is afraid to be rejected as well. he is a part of the Feral wolf pack who live out in the forest and train others to be more comfortable with their wolves that we have read about in other LG books.
Don't we love a man who buys books like he's a dragon hoarding treasure? And who makes his mate the library/office/reading area of her dreams?? OBVIOUSLY!
The Bookish Girl’s Guide to Mating with a Werewolf features Abby, human and Nico, werewolf. After Abby pulls an all nighter reading a smutty werewolf book, she decides to try and find her very own werewolf. Luckily, the very first place she tries nets her a mate.
This book is the very definition of telling instead of showing. It’s mostly dialogue, a lot about the world and people we hadn’t met. The description of his friends/packmages hating women through me right off. Also, the world building was weird, with rejection explained bur not explained. But also I don’t really get why her wolf decided to accept the bond when she did.
This was an incredibly cute, quick and easy to read book (probably more like a novella). This was my first read by this author (found her by following another author, so you know that's a good sign). I finished this in a day and rolled right into book 2. I'll probably take a break for now, but I'm 100% going to finish the series. Great little read!
Saw book 3 and thought, what the hell, might as well read it. Was not worth my time, but then again, I’m doing this to myself
What to expect: main character that is sleep deprived and does some dumb shit like driving for an hour to look for a werewolf in a supermarket. It all went so fast that there is no connection to characters whatsoever
First book by this author and I have to say that it is interesting. If you want a cute and easy to read short novella, this is good for you. There are sex scenes and some of the werewolf stuff has been changed which is different compared to other werewolf books Ive read.
Mmm, no, thank you. The storyline was cliché, the world building was definitely unique, but other than that, the writing wasn't my favorite, and it just felt like a first draft.
