Richard Brautigan was an American novelist, poet, and short-story writer. Born in Tacoma, Washington, he moved to San Francisco in the 1950s and began publishing poetry in 1957. He started writing novels in 1961 and is probably best known for his early work Trout Fishing in America. He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in 1984.

Un souvenir d’enfance peut-il nous poursuivre toute notre vie ?
Ici un homme replonge dans un été de son adolescence dans l’Amérique des années 40.

Entre pêche, amitiés et liberté de l’enfance, tout semble simple… jusqu’à un événement bref mais troublant qui va marquer les esprits.

À travers une série de souvenirs courts, le narrateur tente de comprendre ce moment qui a brisé l’innocence de cet été.

Un roman court et poétique sur ces instants qui changent tout et laissent des traces.
