Faith.
Such a simple word, yet it holds no meaning to me.
It used to, but not anymore.
I’ve seen the dark side of life.
I’ve let it in.
And, once you let that part in.
There is no going back.
So many parts of who I was, and what I believed in has changed since her death.
Part of me wishes that I could be the person before.
Another part of me wishes that guy would vanish completely.
But then, there is Alyssa Dawn.
She sees the good parts of me.
She wants me to be the guy I used to be.
She wants to help me.
But, she can’t.
Faith was my whole life. It powered me to do more. Be more.
It doesn’t anymore.
It’s gone.
And, it took me with it.
My name is Cameron Drake.
Some say I’m the devils son.
They were right.

This book is absolutely amazing. Cameron, I felt his pain and his hurt. He fell in love with a girl to have her taken from him way to soon, she became his everything. He later meets another named Alyssa and it's hard for him to open up to her and her to him, they fall in love even if it feels so wrong but so right. Later on they learn about the secret that was the reason they were connected. She gets pregnant and later on someone who did something extremely terrible to her tries to kill her. Cameron sees and tries to save her. Can he? Will they be able to get past this secret? Is the baby okay? This book brings out so many emotions, I cried many times reading it. Emily is simply amazing, she helps you realize what's important and touches your heart and soul with her writing!!! If you've ever experienced pain, you need to read this book.

This blew me away, such a beautiful emotion roller coaster.
Cameron, abused since young, loved & had faith. Until it was all stripped.
We learn in detail of his childhood to how he became the man he is today.
Horrifically sad!
Experiencing a tragedy of losing his first love was heartbreaking.
Alyssa grew up with a loving family until a tragedy tore it to shreds.
Years later still blaming herself, she's not the same gal.
Another tragedy hits Alyssa to her core, leaving her in a devistangly darker place.
Both are at a dark place, struggling.
Until their paths cross.
Fate brought these two together to heal one another.
But is that enough or will their dark pasts win?
This is a journey of abuse, sorrow & gain.
I was graciously gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.

You can't help but fall in love with this story. The emotional roller coaster will have you smiling, then very angry & then crying over the story of these characters. Cameron grew up & had no one. The story follows him from childhood to the present. Always being told to believe, his beliefs were slowly taken away. He had one person who he truly loved but lost along the way. Never expecting to fall in love again.
Alyssa wanted nothing to do with Cameron. She thought he was trouble. However she couldn't stay away from him. Alyssa doesn't want to let anyone get too close. Alyssa lost her sister and still blames herself. She finally stops fighting the inevitable, and becomes close with Cameron. There relationship is changing the both of them. Falling for each other wasn't in the cards for either, but Cameron can't let her go either. Can the happiness last between them. One person in particular does not want to see that happen and strikes against Alyssa. Even though Cameron doesn't know what happened to her, he is the one that helps her through everything. The events that lead up to OMG moment is so touching and heart wrenching, I had tears running down my face. All you want is the happy ending for both of these people. Emily shows when tragedy happens, that life does go on. The pain that her characters go through and then come out of is inspiring. You will love this story of strength and loss. Be prepared for the tears of joy and sadness come from this book.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for a honest review:

This book was very heart felt for me.
The author does a great job giving you the back ground history on Cameron and his upbringing. The things he went through that causes him to make the decisions he did in life. Subjects that some authors try to shy away from but happen in every day life for some people.

He then becomes an adult and crosses paths with Alyssa who had a good upbringing but experienced pain due to tragedy.

The two are drawn together by a higher calling. Dealing with their past and going through tragedy together and coming out on top is work.

My favorite passage:
“You say that you quit believing in faith, and you might have, but always remember that faith never gives up on you. He loves you, no matter what you decided. He’ll be there to guide you through life, and he will pull you through the darkness. He never gave up on you Asher, not for one second. And, you might not have seen it before but he gave you a reason to live, to grow up.

Favorite things:
**Love the way the author provided the history as well as moves the story along current day.
**Loved the way Faith and Love were built in the story.
**That you can survive the worst of things that you are dealt in life.

Least favorite:
Minor grammar and spelling errors
Waiting for book 2

This is my first time reading one of Emily R. Zajac's books. I was given The Beautiful Sinner as an ARC for an honest review. I was engrossed from the very first word. Emily did a great job portraying each characters emotions, making you feel like you were each one. The story is about a young man named Cameron, and his journey through life as an abused young boy who loses his first love, but to find himself in love again with the last person he though he ever would. Alyssa is 19, living in grief over the loss of her sister. 7 years have passed since the death of her sister and Alyssa feels responsible for her death. Cameron battles with his childhood experiences that have made him bitter and untrustworthy, giving up on FAITH. Alyssa soon finds herself in a situation that changes her life forever, questioning in her belief in FAITH. Eventually Cameron and Alyssa's lives collide and what starts off as hatred for one another soon develops into a friendship. There is something that keeps them bonded and soon after they find that they have fallen for one another. The closer they get, more is revealed as to how connected they are and the promises that are made. Prepare for an emotional roller coaster and two people finally believing in FAITH!

***I received an ARC for an honest review***

First, this book had many difficult situations and is not for the faint of heart. I would recommend this book for 18 and over only.

Beautiful Sinner is indeed not your typical love story. It has a realism to it that is almost difficult to continue reading at times.

Cameron and Alyssa meet under horrible circumstances and find they cannot stay away from one another. Cameron's upbringing is anything but typical. We learn why almost immediately and hope for a happy ending for him.

Alyssa comes from a privileged background, but soon learn all is not well. She meets Cameron and find there is more to him then the bad boy image he portrays.

It is difficult to write this review without giving away important details. Emily Zajac tackles very difficult subjects in this book. She writes with tact and honesty that rattles your emotions. There were moments where I gave up on characters but her story is about hope, redemption and forgiveness, which I believe is the basis for her work.

I received this book from the author in return for an honest review.

Wow, what can I say?! This book jumps from the present to the past so you can get a better feel for the characters.
Cameron, the boy from a disfunctional family, meets a girl from the other side of town. It was love at first sight. Years later this girl is gone. He then ends up meeting Alyssa a 19 y/o also from the other side of town. They end up hanging out and becoming close friends until she finally tells him how she is really feeling! I could keep going on about this book but I dont want to give anything away! its a must read! I cant wait to see what happens with Cameron and Alyssa in the next book!

If the story and characters weren't so compelling, I wouldn't have finished this book. There were SO MANY TYPOS and GRAMMATICAL ERRORS. It was absolutely aggravating. I can understand that not all authors are grammar pros, but that's why they have proofreaders. This book needs a lot of work. It's really hard to stay connected when almost every other sentence has something wrong with it.
Emily - please, please, please go back through this book and fix all of the errors. I will even do it for you if you release a new edited version afterward. You have a great book, so please don't let poor editing bring it down.

I received this book from the author to give a honest review...so here it is...

It's not often that I give 5☆s. This book is that good. I couldn't put it down. I fell in love with Cameron "Asher", Jamie and Alyssa.

This book goes from present to past. You have to understand the present to understand the past. In this book you will see true love not once but twice, cry, get angry, and you will see how FAITH and HIM is always there.
The Beautiful Surrender is well thought out and is beautifully written. I can't wait until the next one comes out.

This book started out great and I was quite impressed until about halfway through. First off let me say I loved Cameron but wasn't too crazy about Alyssa. Things were good and the chemistry was building but then in the middle it switched gears. This is a great storyline but I think the author needs to work on execution (and editing). I will continue to follow this author though because I think she has the talent, it just needs some tweaking.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I've never read one of her books, so I was excited! It was a really sweet, yet dark story. Fortunately, the sweet outweighed the dark. The author laid a good foundation in explaining/describing why each character was the way they were as an adult. This book has every emotion in it......there's sweetness, abuse, sex and thank goodness a happy ending!!! Overall, I really enjoyed it!!

Beautiful Sinner

I enjoyed this read, a lot . Cameron, sexy as hell. Rough, real rough start in life. Can't say I blame him for giving up faith. As much as I enjoyed this read it was hard to get into some parts because of the errors in the grammar. I had to reread some lines a few times to understand what was trying to be said. It took something away from the flow of the read. However, I still really enjoyed this book and I am excited for bookstores is coming out shortly.

AMAZING... I skipped most of chapter one. It was just too much for me. Just a little more detail than I can handle, BUT honestly the rest of this book was/is amazing. With some editing, this book is EASILY a 5 star read. It's crazy good and she has quite the knack for being able to make it real and not just fantasy. I loved this book!

This was at times a hard book to read. The things that happened to Cameron when growing up were heart breaking. What happened to Alyssa at nineteen was heart breaking also. I was glad to see them find each other, and really wanted to see them together. I didn't like the ending and am not sure about reading the next book.

I found the first chapter disturbing and wasn't sure if I wanted to continue but I am glad I did. I really enjoyed the development of Cameron and alyssa's story. A dark really but an emotional journey worth taking. There were a few typos but it didn't affect my enjoyment of the book.

This is not a book for the faint of heart but this dark tale is brilliant. Cameron and Alyssa's individual stories are incredibly devastating but together somehow they are able to find light in the darkness. This will be one story you will not be able to put down. Just amazing.

I was given The Beautiful Sinner by the author for a fair review. I really liked the concept of the book and five it 3.5 stars. I would have rated it 4 stars but it needed a little more editing. I am very much looking forward to the next book. Thank you for the opportunity!
