Will being the replacement Suitorette lead to a fairy tale ending for Abigail, or will it become a reality-show nightmare? When Princess Lyra ditches The Suitorette reality romance show for true love, Abigail finds herself thrown into the spotlight—satin gowns, champagne toasts, and twelve very confused (but ridiculously handsome) suitors included.
A rock star. A hockey player. A prince. Even a billionaire or two. The cameras are rolling, the champagne is flowing, and Abigail is supposed to pick the man of her dreams.
The catch? Most of them signed up for Lyra, not her. And being anyone’s second choice is one role Abigail refuses to play.
Between awkward on-camera kisses, too many roses, and all the chaos a reality show can throw at her, Abigail begins to realize the best plot twist of this isn’t just about finding someone to choose her—it’s about learning to choose herself.
And if she’s lucky? She might just walk away with her own happily-ever-after.
Royal Replacement is a sweet, swoony reality romance with a royal twist—part of the Love in Laandia closed-door romantic comedy series. Perfect for anyone who loves rooting for the supporting role to step into the spotlight and become the star.

Reality show gold with a royal twist to behold . When Lyra gives up her crown ,Abigail is the new suitorette and she’ll get her one true love yet. The only sting in the tail is the obvious one . They didn’t sign up for you Abigail hon ,but for Lyra . Suitorette number one but she’s done and dusted and now how can Abigail find the true love to be trusted who wants her and her alone . Can Abigail navigate and find her one true mate ,because she refuses to be second choice from any would be mate. This storyline is divine and there are some awesome characters and events to enjoy in this girl who wants her true lover boy . Who wants to be a star and shine and who is in it for a good time . Well this storytelling was compelling . Sublime and I really had a good time reading
Abigail finds herself being the next suitorette after Princess Lyra quits the show after falling in love with Spencer (Abigail’s ex-boyfriend) and leaving just after two weeks. Abigail replaces Lyra and continues the show with the remaining 12 suitors. Is she nervous about it? Of course. She fears they won’t give her a fair chance and be disappointed since they initially signed up to be a suitor for Princess Lyra. She puts her fears aside and dives into it hoping for the best. This is a swoony romance with a reality romance trope and it was such a great read. It was so great to be back in Laandia and experience this with Abigail. I rate this story 4.5 stars.
***I received this arc in exchange for an honest review****
I really enjoyed the format of this book. Normally you know who the two people are that end up together, but because this was a “Suitorette” show (the Canadian version of the Bachelorette) there were 12 men Abigail got to choose from. I loved being able to see inside the head of some of the guys; we didn’t get everyone’s perspective, just a few, but it made it a little more suspenseful, like watching the show. Abigail had a lot of soul searching and growing to do in such a short amount of time, but I think she ended up with the right guy, though I could have seen her with someone else if things had developed differently. I can’t wait to read more in this Love in Laandia world.

Royal REPLACEMENT: A Modern, Sweet Reality Royal Romance (Love in Laandia Book 6) by: Holly Kerr @hollykerr.author
•I give stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
~Abigail finds herself thrown into the spotlight, and being anyone’s second choice is one role Abigail refuses to play…
“It’s time for the jump. And I do.”
-Royal REPLACEMENT: A Modern, Sweet Reality Royal Romance, is book #6 in the closed-door, Love In Laandia Series. I enjoyed between awkward on-camera kisses, too many roses, and all the chaos a reality show can throw at her, Abigail begins to realize the best plot twist of this isn’t just about finding someone to choose her-it’s about learning to choose herself! What an important thing to realize and focus on! If you are a fan of rooting for the supporting role to step into the spotlight and become the star, then you will enjoy this sweet, swoony reality romance with a royal twist-part. This is a quick, fun, feel-good addition to the Love in Laandia series. I also enjoyed not knowing exactly until almost the ending of which suitor would Abigail choose. But more than that, I loved watching Abigail face and overcome fears and obstacles along the way. Seeing her be able to have the possibility and take charge of her own happily there flow naturally was heartwarming. This is a fun story worth the read!📚☺️🙌🏻
“Everyone needs some happiness, and perfect days are hard to come by.”
•Content: some drinking, some reality tv show vibes/drama, no violence, past accident brought up of a drunk driver/loss/some grief, a very minimal amount of biblical swear words used, one room/one bed with nothing happening, kisses only. Closed-door!
“So-be brave. Go after what you want.”

“Anything is possible. I guess that’s the point of this show.”
This is a very creative story! (It’s close to being a standalone, but the prior books in the series are recommended to keep track of the characters and plot connections.) Laandia is a tiny kingdom near Canada and Nova Scotia. Members of its royal family (and their closest friends) find romance in this series. Abigail’s best friend ("Royal Reluctance") is now a member of the royal family. Meanwhile, a reality tv dating show has been filming a new season in Laandia, starring the youngest princess this time ("Royal Rebel"). When Princess Lyra leaves the show halfway through the filming, Abigail is asked to replace her as the “Suitorette.” Some of the princess’ bachelors stay on the show to compete for Abigail’s affections next. Abigail alternates between angst and excitement as she weighs the changes to her life, and gets to know each of the bachelors. I really enjoyed getting to know the variety of men and the producer through their own points of view. Abigail and the men have a variety of dates, as she looks for possible love with a rock star, billionaires, a teacher, a prince, former hockey player and the other bachelors. We’re reminded that the power in these shows isn’t one-sided, and the men may also be looking for a genuine relationship. This is a fun book in a highly recommended series! I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What do you get if you mix one beautiful lady and twelve eligible bachelors, in a private resort and add multiple cameras and gorgeous locations? You get the latest series of The Suitorette, a reality TV show where women are looking for love (based on the American TV show The Bachelorette. This is the backdrop for the latest in the Love in Laandia series from Holly Kerr. This is Royal Replacement, and this is Abigail’s story.
If you have read any of the previous Love in Laandia series, you will be familiar with some of the characters here. I first met Abigail in Royal Reluctance, where I fell in love with her dedication and loyalty to her best friend, Hettie. In the follow-up book, Royal Rebel, I was frustrated with how Spencer treated her and was really thrilled she got her own chance at love and was excited to see which of the suitors she chose in the end.
I don’t want to say too much, mainly because the author keeps you guessing until the very end, which of the men steals her heart away. I liked most of the men we got to meet, although I wasn’t happy with one of the choices she sent home in favour of one she kept in. I was very happy with the final choice. I think he was my favourite of them all, and they did seem very well suited.
It was fun to see things from both Abigail’s point of view and that of the men, too. Although most of them were friendly with each other, it was still fun to see the jealousy and competitiveness showing through when we got to see their inner thoughts. It was also fun to imagine how reality TV is actually filmed. I don’t know if the author has real-life experience or research or if she’s assuming how it’s run like the rest of us, but it was still fun to watch things going on off-set as well as on-set.
Royal Replacement is the sixth book in Kerr's Love in Laandia series. This book features Abigail Locke. She steps in to play the Suitorette mid-season after Princess Lyra finds love with Spencer, Abigail's ex.
Abigail is presented with twelve different men, and slowly needs to whittle it down to one. The show pushes her to do some self-reflection and figure out what it is she wants rather than trying to fit herself into whatever mold she believes others' expect her to fit into.
Among her suitors are Ashton Carrington, a billionaire race car driver and heir to the Carrington toy company, Rupert Lorde, another billionaire and friends with Ashton, hockey player Tanner McGainey, Basher, drummer for Water Rhinos, and seventh in line for the throne, Jonas Erickson. Abigail has plenty of choice, and so long as they're there for her, she's open to considering them all.
I enjoyed how Kerr crafted this one as I couldn't tell who would end up winning Abigail's heart for the longest time. I had fun getting to know each of the contestants, and was very happy with her selection. This was another fun and sweet read from a beloved series.
I was elated to learn that she has a few more installments planned! Coming next is Royal Revelry, friends-to-enemies-to-lovers romance featuring Kate McKibbon.
How hard would it be to always live in the shadow of others and then finally be thrust into the spotlight?
I absolutely adored Abigail's story as she steps in as Suitorette 2.0 after Princess Lyra "abdicated" her role in the show to finally pursue a relationship with Spencer... who happened to be Abigail's ex. Royal Replacement picks right up where Royal Rebel left off, so I was already familiar with some of the characters vying to win the hand of the Suitorette, and a few new guys also rounded out the cast.
The multiple POV worked really well in this story, allowing us to experience everyone's emotions as they are on the show. I loved all the personalities and how each switch to first person gave an in-depth look into each of the suitors. There are so many highs and lows as each struggles with their connections, friendships, and baggage.
I don't want to give away who Abigail ended up with, but I will say that it was my favorite pick! I do wish that some of the final people were different, but I'm invested if they continue to get their own Laandian love stories! I enjoyed Abigail finally deciding the direction of her life, and breaking out of everything that held her back from finding an "inconvenient" love!
I received a copy from the author for consideration. All thoughts contained here are my own.
I LOVED the idea of not knowing who Abigail chooses throughout the ENTIRE STORY! I definitely had my pick from the moment they were all introduced and I really loved watching as Abigail made her decision.
Abigail grew so much in this story. She has always been the reliable one for others, putting aside her own dreams so others can be happy, and she finally finds a way to get what she wants out of her life. She has a lot of hard feelings to wrestle with and it was refreshing to see the whole process instead of having a solution dumped into her lap. I love how determined she is to find a real, true, spectacular love. I was so excited to see who she ended up with!
It was fun to get to know so many of the male characters and to see their character development. Some were likeable, some were loveable, some were sent home right when they should have been, and some made it farther than I ever expected.
This reality tv, royal-adjacent romance is the 6th book in the Love in Laandia series, full of swoony moments and a sweet love story.
ARC Book Review Royal Replacement A Novel Written By Holly Kerr Fiction - Romance Published October 2025 374 Pages ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the sixth book in the author’s Love in Laandia Series. This is Abigail’s story. Abigail had supporting roles in a few of the other books. I’m glad she was given her chance to shine in this book.
Abigail is a replacement contestant on the reality TV show The Suitorette. It is the Canadian version of The Bachelorette. Abigail is joining the show for a shortened season after the previous Suitorette, Princess Lyra, left the show to be with her true love.
I liked the premise of this book which is surprising since I am not a fan of The Bachelorette or The Bachelor. This story is told in multiple points of view. Readers get an insight into not just Abigail’s thoughts but also the 12 suitors. Will she choose one of the billionaires, the hockey player, the drummer, or the firefighter?
Throughout this process, Abigail also learns more about herself. The experience gave her time to think and examine her life. I was very happy with the suitor she ended me choosing.
“I have to start living for me. I need to make myself a priority.”
Holly Kerr has done it again, written a book that I could not put down and left me with a smile on my face! Full of characters I want to be friends with and a mix of events that make me laugh, make my heart ache, and then leave me smiling. This story picks up immediately after Royal Rebel and features Abigail stepping in as Suitorette. Abigail has connections to the royal family of Laandia but is not part of it. I enjoyed watching her sort through her feelings not only about the men that are part of the Suitorette but also about herself, her future, and her connections to Hettie and Tema. I will admit I had very strong feelings about the men she was considering and may have wanted to shout at her a time or two but all in all I enjoyed this story and watching it unfold. I highly recommend this book to readers that enjoy sweet romances with characters that become friends. If you have not read this series, I highly recommend you set aside some time and binge all of them, you won’t be disappointed.
Thanks to the author for the gifted copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Royal Replacement is Abigail Locke's story. She broke up with Spencer Laz,her boyfriend who went onto reality show The Suitorette,to win Princess Lyra's heart. When Lyra chose to leave the show with Spencer,Abigail was asked to replace her. Now Abigail thinks she might not be good enough and she does not want to be second best. She is surprised when she meets her twelve suitors. Some of them stayed for her and there are a few new ones. There are quite a few POV's in this book, including Grayson, the shows host. It is not an easy decision for Abigail, but there is one particular suitor she has been drawn to from the start. She eventually chooses the right man for her and they get to their happily ever after. It was lovely catching up with the royals of Laandia.I love Tema and the bond she has with Abigail. The friendships were great old and new. A fun enjoyable read with laughter, emotions, friendships, romance and a sweet happily ever after. Cannot wait to find out who the next book is about.

I enjoyed this book a lot more than I expected to! Abigail was a character I absolutely wanted to see find her HEA after she broke up with Spencer in the previous book in this series, but I definitely questioned how it could possibly work with the Suiterette reality show and keep the winner a surprise. Would the book be single pov? I'm happy to report this worked perfectly, with many different POVs throughout so you could hear the different characters inner thoughts as all the gentlemen vied for Abigail's adorations. I'm happy with her choice, and excited for the possibilities of future books and some of these side characters! Check this whole series out soon! While technically this book could be a stand alone I think a lot will make more sense with having read the previous books in the love in Laandia series!
After Lyra's book, I wasn't sure how it was going to work out for the men in their reality show. I liked that Abigail got her own book because she was done so dirty in the last one. Seeing her evolution into being her own person was so fun to read about. She started as someone who will always put others first, to a fault, and ended as someone who will put her own feelings first if it's appropriate.
I really liked the not knowing who she was going to end up with. I liked all the final guys and would have been happy with any of them (well maybe one I would have liked less). I was so happy with the end, it sets up other stories that I really want to read about. I need to know how it ends for the other guys that didn't get picked, because I feel bad for them. They got rejected twice, that must hurt.
Thank you Holly Kerr for the e-ARC. All thoughts are my own.
Abigail is back, we had a glimpse of her love story in the previous book when she was dating Spencer, but if you read Royal Rebel, you can find out how that went! Whilst a standalone, it’s part of the interconnected Love in Laandia series. Abigail is now the Suitorette who has her pick of 12 men for a chance to find her HEA. Whilst a love story at the heart, it was more of a love yourself first story. More on Abigail discovering who she is and finding what she wants for her, rather than the yes lady she has always been. The guy she picked at the end? Totally THE ONE, couldn’t love these two more, just perfect!!
I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own
Abigail is the new Suitorette, joining the season at halftime after Lyra quit to be with Spencer, Abigail's so-called ex. She's excited to meet 12 men and hopefully find love. Some men who were there from Lyra's start stayed but a few are new additions and Abigail fears the men who might have had feelings for Lyra will be disappointed when she shows up.
It was quite a surprise to find Ashton (you know him if you read previous books of this series) still there and other fantastic candidates like a famous drummer, another billionaire and Prince Jonas, cousin to the Laandia royals.
This book was fun reading and I wasn't sure which of these guys Abigail will pick if any at all and the ending leaves me impatiently awaiting for the next book 😉
Such a fun and fictional twist to the Bachelor/Bachelorette show! Abigail is asked to take over the spot as Suitorette after Princess Lyra finds love unexpectedly (if you haven't read the earlier books in the series, don't worry as there is plenty of mentioned about those books). Abigail agrees and begins the search for her happily ever after. This book is not a dual pov, but rather we get not only Abigail's but also the producer as well as all of the men's pov. It might seem a bit confusing yet it allows us, the reader, to delve not only into their feelings but also their motivation for participating in the show. And in the end, her selection might feel like a surprise yet it is completely satisfying. I have really loved this series...
I’m so happy Abigail ended up with Tanner in the end. I think I knew they’d be a good match because of their shared love for Tema and how much they seemed to really care for each other from the jump. They were both in it to find love from the beginning without any other ulterior motives so it honestly felt right for the two of them to end up together. However, seeing Jonas, Ashton and Badger go home was kinda rough because I was beginning to like all of them. I hope Badger gets his chance at love and I can’t wait to see how Ashton falls for Sophie Laz though when their book comes out in January. I wonder if Holly will give us a story on Mathias or Jonas or even Milo and Rupert to complete the Billionaire Brats series. I’m excited to see more of this world.

This is such an entertaining fun series. This story is about Abigail Locke being the next Suitor of a Canadian spinoff of a bachelorette show. Abigail takes up the role after the princess Laandia, Lyra chooses her match in 2 weeks and leaves the show. Abigail has a great group of guys to choose from. It’s fun to see them all put their best foot forward and try to win her heart. And I think she made a great choice. It is intriguing, charming, fun and flirty. I’m not a big fan of reality TV, but this series has been highly entertaining. It is a clean romance with swoony kisses. Let’s keep it going!
I’m thoroughly invested in the royal family and their friends of Laandia, so happy that Abigail got her story! What a fun one too, as she has stepped in for the princess in The Bachelorette style reality show. Struggling with finding love again, she’s quite skeptical with the entire process and in love in general, but ends up with several great suitors, despite thinking they think she’s a second choice. I adored Abigail’s growth—of her quest to find herself and putting herself first, and then her happily ever after coming naturally. This was a sweet, royal romcom with great characters and a fun plot! 4.25 stars Thanks to the author for the eARC!
A fabulous series! Even better with Royal Replacement added to it!
It’s tough to know what write in this review because I don’t want it to be a spoiler. This was a really fabulous book! I loved the interplay between the contestants. I loved getting to know some of them. This book was so well written I became invested in several of the characters very quickly. Of course the ending… I’m running out of positive happy adjectives! It’s wonderful as a stand alone but it’s even better as part of the series. It’s just a thoroughly great read and I highly recommend it!.

"I've waited my whole life for you. I don't want to wait a moment longer."
I was so happy when I heard that Abigail was getting her own book and HEA!
I loved not knowing who Abigail was going to choose, I had my favorites, but it was fun not knowing. I don't want to give away any spoilers, so I will simply say this is a fun reality romance with a royal twist.
I love that along with the Suitorette storyline that is all about choosing someone else, Abigail learns the importance of choosing herself.
This is the 6th book in the Love in Laandia series, and while it can be read as a stand alone it is more enjoyable if read in order.
Royal Replacement is the sixth book in the Love in Laandia series. When you need something light, fun, swoony, and entertaining author Holly Kerr can deliver. This story is an interesting premise that plays out in ways you would not think, but are happy to go with. Abigail is thrown into a situation she was not prepared for, but she still holds her own and ensures she gets what she deserves. She may not be a Princess of Laandia but she is still a catch by any means. Thus the men who remain find they will have to adjust and compete in a different way. Abigail may not have been ready but she finds herself deep into the game of love.
Abigail is the suitorette for a partial season after Princess Lyra leaves with Spencer. She was nervous that the men would be disappointment since they went on the show to be matched with a Princess. She has 12 men to narrow it down to 1. I loved reading about all the men, not really knowing who would be the final one until we were almost to the end, it made it a story that I didn’t want to put down. Abigail had to overcome a lot of fears, and it was fun to see her make the show something that was just her to help her find her happily ever after. Another great story in the Laandia series!
This is the sixth installment in the Love in Laandia series. This is Abigail's chance at finding true love. I won't tell who she picks but I will say that I figured it out around the time the second fellow left the show. I'm so happy with how things ended for Abigail. This is definitely a sweet and heartfelt story with amazing characters. I can't wait to continue reading more from the series as well. Highly recommend.

-A sweet, closed-door royal rom-com with a delightful reality TV twist. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.
When Abigail steps in as the new Suitorette, she faces twelve charming suitors—and her own fears of being second best. Full of humor, heart, and self-discovery, it’s more than just a quest for love—it’s about finding confidence and joy again.
A fun, feel-good addition to the Love in Laandia series that leaves the reader smiling and wanting more. Who will she choose?
Royal Replacement is book six in the Love in Laandia series, and it picks up where book five left off. In this book Abigail is the Suitorette and gets to choose between twelve men, and oh what a fun read it is. I wondered which of the men Abigail would choose, and I even cringed a few times, thinking she would pick the wrong guy. In the end it made for a very entertaining read, and I look forward to reading more books by this author in the future. I recommend this book, this series, and this author to everyone who loves to read. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I think the author did a really good job of reflecting a reality show. We hear chapters from the view points of Abigail, five of her twelve suitors: Ashton the billionaire, Tanner the former hockey player, Jonas the prince, Basher the rockstar, Rand the redhead; and Grayson the producer. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from Booksprout. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Royal Replacement is an interesting twist on the reality show. The reader does not immediately know who Abigail will pick. She has a wide variety of choices - rock star, former hockey player, billionaires, a prince, a teacher, and more. I felt we got to know more about the suitors in this book than in the previous books. I do think Abigail ended up with the best love for her. They are cute together. I always enjoy Ms. Kerr's books and this was no exception. I am never ready to leave Laandia!
