Excellent Story & Narration🎧Riveting & Emotional!
Infamous
Kings of Capital, Book 2

Ivy Wild blows me away with another amazing novel, a standalone romance set in her “Kings of Capital” series that hooks you in right from the start and will easily become your obsession. I couldn’t put down the book, with its original story and interesting storylines, a second chance like no other. Sophie Stronglen and Connor Driscoll were best of friends, each other’s person, and the feelings they shared for one another were morphing into something so much more. Connor was ready for their relationship to move to another level, but when a scout from a record label approaches Sophie after playing a gig with an offer, she jumps on it, despite Connor’s skepticism. It was all a whirlwind after that, signing a contract with the record label, and she is on her way to becoming the next big pop star. The only thing she did not have was Connor, and they fell out of touch. Sophie broke his heart by leaving and never looking back, but he went on and became his own success in business and real estate. When Sophie’s career tanked, she went back to finish college and ran into Connor, and he was nothing like he was when she left, and whether it was fate or the universe working against her, the company she is interning at is his. Connor was still angry with Sophie, but he never got over her, and he still harbored feelings for her, and they were not one-sided feelings. Sophie was trying to stay under the radar and away from the press, who were brutal with her scandal and career fallout. But a tip-off to the press erases her anonymity, forcing her to face her past once more, and while she doesn’t know is, she is not in the fight alone this time. There is never a dull moment in this wonderfully written, multi-layered story, a cleverly plotted story with the perfect balance of drama, angst, twists and turns, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. The music industry is not an easy one to make it in, and my heart went out to Sophie for all she endured, and I was rooting for her the entire time, I was rooting for her and Connor to make it as a couple too. Ivy Wild, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing audiobook production, June Deborahae and James Cassidy, an ideal pairing and cast to bring these characters to life, and with character voices that were fitting, they delivered a superb portrayal of each. Deborahae was Sophie, grasping every aspect of her personality, from her vulnerabilities to her strength and determination. Cassidy nailed it as Connor, showcasing his personality and demeanor perfectly, from his alpha and confident side to his caring and passionate side. Both were fantastic at voicing the side and secondary characters, giving each their own distinct voice, making it easy to tell who was who. They set the right tone for the story, conveyed all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to, and their captivating performance keeps you glued to the story.

Infamous is book #2 in the Kings of Capital series. Originally released as a trilogy, Infamous is a standalone and the complete story all wrapped up in a delicious package of Connor and Sophie! They are college best friends who lose touch when Sophie becomes a rockstar and suddenly leaves Connor's life. 5 years later, she's back, disgraced, and trying to finish her college degree. He is her boss, her professor, and still in love with her. He doesn't want her to leave him again, she wants to protect him from her toxic past. While these two have serious chemistry between the sheets (and his desk, and...you get it) there are more emotional issues to work out between them. But harmful and vengeful people prove to be major obstacles to their happiness (Aubrey...🤬) This story had me from beginning to end, just like book #1. Another amazing story in a fantastic series!
The narration was absolute perfection. James Cassidy and June Deborahae were perfectly cast as Connor and Sophie. These two gave voice to all the aspects of their characters - alpha CEO with an unrequited love, snarky celebrity with a fragile soul...I couldn't stop listening. And the heat these two bring to life...whew! Pure fire. 5/5 stars!

After loving the audiobook of The Estate so much; I eagerly jumped back into the Kings of Capital series with Infamous, Sophie & Conner's story. These two were so intense and hot, and I simply couldn't get enough. June deBorahae and James Cassidy gave a brilliant performance. They so genuinly captured all the emotions, suspense, and chemistry exactly how I imagined it would be between these friends turned lovers.
Conner wasn't going to let anything get in the way of him protecting and loving Sophie and finally claiming her as his. The scorching hot moments and the tender and sweet moments were both equally satisfying with June and James' dynamic narration. If you've read and loved the book, the audiobook is a must listen. It brings Sophie and Conner's journey to life in a way that will make you feel like you're experiencing their rollarcoaser ride all over again.

I really like anything Ivy Wild writes.
We meet Sophie & Connor in this book. Sophie was a singer but something happened that brought her back home so she could continue her college degree and she runs into Connor again as they used to be best friends but now they are ex best friends but he happens to work at the college. They don’t really like each other but they try again to have a relationship. I really loved there story so much.
June Deborahae is a new narrator to me and I really enjoyed listening to her and she was the perfect part for Sophie. I will be finding more books that she is in.
James Cassidy he is just good in every book that I listen to that he is in and he did a good job playing Connor.
