Smell the Coffee and Wake Up: A Zen Guide To Mindfulness and Self-Discovery

Rate this book
Smell the Coffee and Wake Up is an invitation to be mindful and to experience the transformative power of awareness and compassion in daily life. Mindfulness and meditation can be difficult to do, especially when struggling with stress, anxiety or depression. This book is a collection of short essays by Zen master Bub-In (Peter Taylor), which serve as mini-meditations and make the practice possible for anybody, any day, at any point in their life. Reading the prose is like applying aloe to a sunburn. It is a natural remedy that soothes as it provides the body with nutrients to heal itself. The comforting words convey surprising insights into the human experience. They inspire confidence as they impart understanding of how to use self-awareness to bravely face life’s challenges

When the Western world has got you down, there is nothing like Eastern philosophy to get you up. May you experience great happiness.

This book is amazing. You can read it all at once or a page a day... or both. Taylor puts enlightenment well within reach if you are willing to read with an open mind.
