Gyptian in Hortulus

Poetry. Having become a close reader of Edmond Jabes, Michael Gizzi calls upon his perception of Egypt as exotic, mysterious, and questions arise. Is it within the notation that meaning transpires? He has sought condensation in exploration.

Not Gizzi's greatest work, but certainly a great work. Half the time the language, the components that build into the greater image, the totality, are hardly decipherable, but then again, isn't that how our minds should be? I feel like Gizzi's quest for mystery was one that speaks loud words to all of us in our over-simplification of reality.
