This is a book I was given by the author over 12 months ago and which I have put off starting to read for a long time, mainly due to it's size and the fact that I knew it was not going to be an easy read.

Easy read it was not, but a fascinating one nevertheless. I have, as long as I can remember, been a creationist rather than an evolutionist and would stand by my belief in a Creator God whenever given the opportunity to do so. However, in recent years I am sorry to say, these beliefs have become somewhat compromised in some small, and as I thought, insignificant ways.

Not any more. Leo challenges the way in which evolution as a hypothesis, and nothing more, has done more to damage the bedrock of the Christian church and faith, than any other modern ideology. In many places, the evidence he shares goes well over my head and many pages need re-reading before the full significance sinks in. And it is not a book to be read once for all time. I'm sure mine will be re-opened often.

But it has been well worth the perseverance. Thank you Leo for the gift and for writing the book in the first place.
