Jack Frost is nothing but a myth...a legend...but what if he is real. What if he's in this world, watching, and desperate to just be seen.

Addison has lived a life of one bad choice after the next, and a chance meeting with Jack leads her down an unwanted path.

She sees him, and he becomes obsessed with her. It's been years since anyone has seen him, and he can't just ignore that...right? Even if that means following her to a place he shouldn't be. When her mistakes land her in a mental institute claiming to want to help her, Jack's obsession has him reaching out to her, but something isn't right.
A darkness lingers within those halls, something sinister with their own intentions and motives in mind. This darkness threatens everything, including Addison's mind.

Omg! I love the twist on this Jack Frost retelling.

It felt like I was reading an adult version of a supernatural Jack Frost story. In the beginning, it takes you right to the FMC and what she’s experiencing, making the story pick up right away.

At first, you think you know things and where it’s going, then bam! Plot twist — you know nothing lol. I love when any storyline does this to me; it keeps me on my toes, which is amazing. Most of the time, I always sense where the story is going, so the surprise is always appreciated.

It felt like two lost souls were walking around lost until one day they got on the same timeline and entered each other’s. I have a saying: “Everyone has someone who saves them and ends up with each other.” That’s what this felt like to me. It’s told beautifully — you get the good and the bad, then comes the beautiful moment of all the breakthroughs.

What to expect: character growth, fast-paced storytelling, mental health topics, new beginnings, and seeing familiar characters, and more.

Overall, I enjoyed this one. It’s told perfectly. The author did a great job of explaining both characters and showing us who they are and why certain things are happening.

There are a lot of things in the story that might be relatable to some, if not all, readers. It’s one detail I always love to experience with books I read. Each book leaves me wanting more! Can’t wait for the next one 🥰

I would recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a quick read that’s packed with romance/paranormal vibes. AND! There’s W/ Dual POV — who doesn’t love that!!

A special message to the author (Girl, you’re ķiļl!ng it with all these books! Each one gets better & better. You’re an amazing person who writes some pretty amazing stories — I’m obsessed!)

4.5 ⭐️

This is a dark, modern retelling of Jack Frost, and it completely pulled me in. Jack has existed in this world for as long as he can remember—unseen, unheard, and desperately longing to matter. Everything changes the night he meets Addison.

Set in a contemporary world with strong paranormal elements, the story unfolds through dual POVs, giving us a deep look into Jack’s obsession as he falls first—and hard. All he wants is to be seen, and Addison becomes the center of his existence. Meanwhile, Addison is fighting her own inner war, unsure if what she’s experiencing is real, if she’s losing her grip on reality, or if Jack Frost truly exists.

With an obsessive MMC, emotional intensity, mental health struggles, and plenty of spice, this story blurs the line between fantasy and reality in the best way. The question of whether Jack and Addison can find their happily ever after keeps you turning the pages.

This was a genuinely good read, and I’ll always recommend giving it a chance.

Oh, I definitely believe in this God.

*Potential spoilers*

The chemistry between the FMC and MMC is 🔥 from the very start. Watching them support each other through their struggles, both physically and mentally, was everything. I truly did not see this story playing out the way it did… and then BAM! PLOT TWIST! Melissa absolutely nailed bringing this storyline to life.

This is absolutely my favorite book in the series so far. I was convinced Nic would stay my #1, but Jackson said hold my crown and absolutely took over. lol! The way this God is completely obsessed with Addison? Actual goals. I need him. Immediately. And the fact that he’s pierced? 🫣😉🥵🫠 Say less.

If you love high spice, deep, emotional love, and an unexpected twist that hits you out of nowhere, this book is for you.

Honestly, 5⭐️ just isn’t enough. I cannot wait for the next book!

Jack Frost is real!!
Holy Forgotten God!! if I could rate this higher than 5 stats, I would. I didnt think it could get better than the god of nightmares, but it did. Pages full of plot twists, spice, suspense, and all the feels. The storyline was absolutely fantastic. Add a sexy god with a pierced member... 🔥🔥🌶🌶 Addison and Jack are easily one of my favorite books couples now. The obsession, possessiveness, and sexual chemistry between these two was everything you'd want. The things they had to overcome and sacrifice for each other made this book a swoon worthy book!

I can't wait to see what awaits us in Cupid!!

ARC Review: 5/5⭐️, 2/5🌶️

This was another fantastic read from Melissa Silva. My favorite books are those that take you on an emotional roller coaster, and this book definitely had me feeling all the emotions. If you like books where the FMC and MMC are lost, but kindred souls with touches of mythology and fantasy, you have found your next read.

Likes: evolving characters, well-paced storyline, interesting use of a mental institution

Dislikes: none- As always, it left me ready for the next book.

If you’ve ever harboured a thing for Jack Frost, now’s your time to shine! I loved the mixture of Jack Frost’s story with all of the other “modern” elements of this book. It has a few nods to Christmas without this feeling like a Christmas-themed book (sorry Nick, it’s Jack’s turn). The story was captivating and I love learning more about the other gods as you read the series. I’m excited to see what happens with Cupid in the next book!

ARC Review: I really enjoyed this Jack Frost retelling! There was mystery and romance! All the good things! You immediately felt for Jacks character being alone in the world, unseen and unheard. I did have good laughs imaging what it would look like for the FMC interacting with someone no one else can see. The spice was spicing in the best ways! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a little mystery, paranormal romance read! Loved the little Christmas references since I read this in December!

Frost – Melissa Silva
Completely addictive from start to finish! The atmosphere is icy and immersive, the tension is nonstop, and the characters had me emotionally invested the whole time. Melissa Silva’s writing is vivid, angsty, and full of twists that kept me turning pages way too late into the night.
