No Hockey Stops Here

OTT, seriously steamy, age gap hockey romance is coming in hot! I mean, these are seriously hot with bonus epilogues that ratchet up the heat. I enjoyed each book with 'Taught by the Coach' being my fave.

Here are my individual reviews for each book. Happy reading! 📚💋

Claimed by the Center 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Sweet Girl & 44
Kincaid Campbell and Lilah Ferguson are incredibly over-the-top with their insta-love and his stalking. She's so shy, and he's definitely got the "I'll unalive you" vibe down pat. 😂🔥🎉 I really liked it.

Because although I’ve only known Lilah for five minutes, the things I want to do to her are filthy.
-- Kincaid Campbell

Boy, oh boy, are they filthy! And I loved every single moment of their debauchery.

Oh, there's also a bonus epilogue that is H-O-T! They are cute and funny even while dirty talking. Definitely worth the extra few minutes to read.

H = 34; h = 20

Taught by the Coach 🌟🌟🌟🌟 .5 - Pleasure Rats
4.5 stars - Their mutual adoration societies cross paths in brilliant fashion. Sadie Brennan and Shane Ferguson have one intensely hot story. It's Alyson's best insta-love so far! 🔥🩵🔥💦🔥💜

Shane is looking at me as though I’m some precious thing, something to be cherished. As though he wants me the way I’ve wanted him for all these months.
-- Sadie Brennan

Adding in the extra sizzle from the bonus epilogue not only increases the filth quotient, but also my need for relief. Ho-ly cow! And beneath all that is a fun, OTT tale about a young woman and her bestie's dad, or Daddy as he's known to Sadie. I love the low angst, high heat and taboo nature of the book.

H = 46; h = 21

Faking It with the Enforcer 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - Ain't Faking It
Oh, Wolf Hartley is in deep… stuff… with Emily David. His instant attraction is almost humorous. 😃 The fact that it's reciprocated is a fun discovery for him that I really liked. 🚿💦

I can’t stop staring. I want to drown in her eyes. I want to count her freckles with my mouth.
– Wolf Hartley

This is a quick read, instalove that certainly got my blood pumping. The heat level is high, which may not be recommended for reading in public, but I didn't mind.

Hat Trick by Alyson Archer is a compilation of three Hockey romances!

First is, Claimed by the Center, which follows Kincaid and Lilah. Brand new team…brand new coach. Then, he sees her from afar and is instantly smitten. Little does he know, he’s set his sights on a forbidden girl…the coach’s daughter. Loved this story and the journey with these characters!!

Next, is Taught by the Coach, the story of Shane and Sadie. He’s the new coach for the Thunder Hockey team. When a young woman comes to his home, he is completely enraptured. He doesn’t realize who she is…his daughter’s best friend…all grown up. Theirs would be a totally taboo relationship…and can never be…Really enjoyed their dynamic and how they fought their attraction!

Finally, there’s Faking it with the Enforcer, which follows Wolf and Emily. He’s the muscle for the team. She’s his best friends baby sister and interning as a ballerina. She will stay with him for the duration of the internship. But, nothing can ever happen between them…she’s young and innocent. He’s thirteen years her senior. These two were, perhaps, my favorites of this compilation!

These stories are very formulaic and each story is just like the others…making it hard to stay interested. But, I finished it! Liked it…but, same story line. Guy falls first…girl is close behind…forbidden romance. 3.5 stars

4/5 ⭐️s
🌶️🌶️ - medium spice, multiple explicit scenes throughout

Claimed by the Center
💖 Coach’s daughter
💖 Light stalking

Taught by the Coach
💘 Best friend’s dad
💘 Mutual pining
💘 Office/workplace

Faking It With the Enforcer
💓 Best friend’s sister
💓 Roommates to lovers
💓 Fake dating
💓 Size difference

Each of these had similarities throughout and shared certain tropes, though they were also their own story. “Virginity” and inexperienced FMCs was another similarity between them. That’s a trope I’ve decided to leave off of things because virginity is a construct and all that, but I’m mentioning it here in case that’s your thing and you seek it out 😊

In each case, these older men hesitate and restrain themselves at first until they know the FMC is interested. That makes this work for me. And the idea of being taken care of is pretty appealing so I liked living in that fantasy.

I feel like I need to suspend reality a bit while I read these and temporarily forget feminism 🙃 but they’re so easy to read and a fun break from more serious things.

Thanks to the author for the advance copy 💝 Releases September 26th!

"Hat Trick Collection" 4.5 ⭐s

Book 1 4.5 ⭐s "Claimed by the Center"

Lilah's father, Shane Ferguson, a former star hockey player, is the new head coach of the Toronto Thunder pro hockey team. He's hosting a party for the team and staff before the start of the new season. She hates parties with a passion, but she loves him, and the party is being held in the home she shares with him.

Her father has forbidden her to date hockey players. He blames hockey for the breakup of his marriage when Lilah was ten.
Lilah has no experience with boys, let alone men. She's shy, blushes way too often, and has trouble carrying on simple conversations. However, she feels comfortable around Kincaid, but there's still her father to deal with.

Kincaid Campbell, the center wearing jersey number 44, is happy to be on the team that he grew up following.

He's instantly attracted to Lilah when he sees her at the party. So much so that he begins stalking her in his free time. He just wants to keep her safe.

A big problem, for others, is the age gap. He's fourteen years older than her. They know they have to disclose their relationship to her father. While they're deciding the best way to do so, her father unexpectedly arrives at Kincaid's door. At just about the worst time possible...

Book 2, 4.5 ⭐s "Taught by the Coach"

Shane Ferguson is the head coach of the Toronto Thunder hockey team. He's bought a mansion where his twenty-year-old daughter, Lilah, will be living with him. She tells him her friend, Sadie Brennan, is coming over to help her arrange her room. He vaguely remembers the girl with frizzy hair and braces—but she can't be the goddess standing in his kitchen!

She's also a student at U of T like Lilah, only she's studying psychology. Unlike her father, she wants to do research rather than practice. Even at her young age she makes him feel seen.

Seven months later, when the internship necessary for her completion of a mandatory course disappears, he arranges an internship for her.

He's twenty-four years older than her. He's off-limits in so many ways, but a girl can dream, can't she? Sadie kept a journal of all her fantasies concerning Shane. A journal that she accidentally left in his office. A journal that Shane not only found but also read. A journal that gave him all sorts of ideas. Forbidden ideas...

Book 3, 4.5⭐s "Faking It with the Enforcer"

Wolf Hartley is the enforcer for the Toronto Thunder hockey team. He's beginning to think that at thirty-two he's becoming a washed-out player. He's never been a great player, but he has been a very good enforcer. The assistant coach, center Kincaid Campbell, suggests that maybe he needs to find a woman. Yeah, right. He's given up on puck bunnies because he was never sure if they wanted him or just a pro athlete. But meaningless sex is very unappealing to him.

He became friends with Mike David when they were at university together. Now his baby sister, Emily, will be in Toronto for six weeks for a ballet internship. Mike has arranged with Wolf to allow her to stay at his place while she's there because she's naive and helpless. As much as he doesn't want to be a babysitter, Mike has been a good friend for years, and Emily is thirteen years younger than them. He's not much of a people person, and the thought of sharing his private space almost hurts. Mike is really going to owe him!

He had actually forgotten that she was coming from Winnipeg to be staying with him until he got a phone call announcing her arrival.

Emily is gorgeous with her reddish-orange hair, pale creamy and large emerald green eyes. She's only about five feet tall, but her posture is so perfect that she seems taller. She looks like a fairy princess. He has to keep reminding himself that she's only nineteen!

Mike calls not long after her arrival to thank Wolf for keeping an eye on Emily. However, he reminds Wolf that his eyes are to be the only body parts to be on her, or else!

She feels so lost in Toronto; it's too big. She doesn't belong in Wolf's luxury apartment or in his world of pro athletes and other rich people. She's almost convinced herself that she's not worthy of the internship at the National Ballet School. She should just pack her bags and go home. There's also the humiliation of overhearing her brother's phone call to Wolf.

Wolf soon makes her feel at home. And he'll follow her anywhere.

I loved this book. 3 steamy forbidden romance with age gap stories in 1 book! What could be better?! I liked all of the stories all though Taught By The Coach was my favourite. Every single one of these books is super spicy, the steam is so good, definitely not SFW! The spice is just Phew! Even just the day dreams are so hot it could boil water! If you are looking for alot of spice but still want some plot and interesting characters then this set of books is perfect for you.
Claimed by the Center is Lilah and Kinkaid's story. She is the daughter of the coach and he's the star hockey player. Them meeting at a party, and then the development of their relationship is sweet and well written. Although it develops quickly it still does seem plausible and natural between them. I loved Kinkaid and how protective and kind he was towards her.
Taught By The Coach follows on with Sadie (Lilah's bff) and the coach (yep, Lilah's dad! That coach!) which you kind of got hints at in the first book. This book follows on from the first one seamlessly with a fantastic story. I loved the forbidden relationship of this one and although this relationship seemed less plausible and more insta love than the first 1st I just loved their relationship dynamic.
Faking It With The Enforcer is Wolf and Emily's story. This one doesn't flow into the storyline quite as seamlessly and I feel like it could have been hinted at slightly in the second to help this. Wolf is Kinkaid's teammate and Emily is Wolf's best friend's sister. She is staying with him for a few weeks while doing an internship in the area. I wasn't quite as engaged with the characters in this one having not really been introduced to them before (briefly to Wolf) but still enjoyed their relationship growing and how they fit so well together.

Claimed by the Center
Lilah is always been her father girl, whom he protects and told not to date hockey players. But when he dad Shane gets a new player and has a party at his house, Kincaid comes to her rescue when a waiter tries to come on to her; he steps in. He asked her out and they started dating, but her father, Shane, didn’t know it, and stopped to drop off a box at Kincaid, and she was in her t-shirt. W/hat is dad going to say about the age difference and her being his daughter?
Taught by the Coach
Sadie is Lilly's best friend since childhood, and she has a crush on Shane, Lilly's dad. She lost her internship before she started, to the recuse Shane gave her the internship to work with him. Big mistake as he has feelings for her, can it work for them or not?
Faking It with the Enforcer
Wolf has told Michael, his best friend, that he will keep his sister safe. Michael tells him not to touch his little sister. Wolf came to Emily's recuse after her first day at the National Ballet Company, where she is internship at. But after the second time, can they stay away from each other? What happens when Michael finds out?.

This is the first three stories in the "Toronto Thunder" hockey series. They are fairly short and quick reads that are fun. The stories featured are "Claimed by the Center", "Taught by the Coach" and "Faking It with the Enforcer". They all three are good stories with strong and likable characters. They are sweet, steamy and passion filled stories with some dirty talk in the mix.

"Claimed by the Center" – The story is about Lilah and Kincaid. It is a touch of the forbidden since Lilah's dad owns the hockey team that Kincaid plays for. The chemistry and attraction is instant. They fight it but then it becomes to much.

"Taught by the Coach" – The story is about Shane, Sadie and some dirty fantasies. It is an age gap with a touch of the forbidden. Shane is the coach of the Toronto Thunder hockey team. Sadie is his daughter's best friend. The chemistry and attraction is instant.

"Faking It with the Enforce" – The story is about Emily and Wolf, her brother's friend. It is an age gap with a touch of the forbidden. The chemistry and attraction between them is instant. She knows what she wants and so does he. He fights it until he gives until his feelings.

Three steamy, forbidden romances with age-gap dynamics all in one collection. Each story is scorching, with plenty of heat and chemistry, but also interesting characters and engaging plots. Claimed by the Center follows Lilah and Kinkaid, and their fast-developing but believable romance is sweet and protective. Taught By The Coach picks up with Sadie and the coach, giving a forbidden, tension-filled relationship that’s juicy and fun, even if it’s more insta-love. Faking It With The Enforcer tells Wolf and Emily’s story and their relationship grows naturally and feels satisfying. Overall, this collection delivers plenty of spice while keeping the stories engaging and enjoyable.

The start of the series between the Coach's daughter and one of his players. It's steamy, OTT, and a pretty fun quick read.

-Taught by the Coach

A short and steamy taboo OTT read.
Sadie is his daughter's best friend, and now that she's working for him as an intern, they both feel an attraction. Shane is a former hockey player turned coach.

-Faking It with the Enforcer

This was an OTT insta-love/attraction steamy read about an NHL player in a funk and the woman who stays with him as a favor to his friend.

Overall it delivers what it promises, steamy OTT attraction, could have done without the daddy kink.

A collection of 3 short, steamy storylines centred around a professional hockey team.
Each is instalove type romance, with older man and younger woman age gap.
The storyline follows the same format throughout, but the couples have their individual issues. The second story was the one I liked the least due to the Daddy references. He is the father of the young woman in the first book and she is her best friend. Theirs is the biggest years gap and I don't feel it adds to their situation. Her diary is graphic in detail, but rather than adding heat, I think it seems a little sordid, detracting from the romantic.
Overall a reasonable boxset.

I can’t figure out which novella I like the best. Obviously, the flow of the 3 novellas being from the same hockey team was fun. And the explicit connection between the characters makes more relatable for the reader. I like how all the FMCS do have something to offer the MMCS other than lack of experience. While the hockey world is the same and an age gap is present, each novella is otherwise completely distinct. The usual combination of spice and sweet romance. Really fun reading them all together. Gotta love those hockey hotties… players and coach. Thanks for the opportunity to read early!

These novellas are all dual POV, well written, and fast-paced, sweet and steamy, significant age gap, contemporary sports romances. I enjoyed each of these stories when I read them initially and wrote full reviews on each of their own pages. I now especially enjoyed having them in a box set because it’s easier to binge read!

Whew the heat and steam in this trio of books is 🔥🔥. They can be read individually but they flow really well when read together. All 3 stories are age gap instalove that are not only great stories of romance, protection, and love but also hot! All three women meet their hockey men under different circumstances and while the men are protective and caring the women are strong and determined. A fantastic read!!

I enjoyed this story collection because I love hockey romances. It is full of romance and hot, passionate scenes. The male characters are strong, older men and the women are young and innocent. The fun is they both desire the other when the characters think that the others don't feel the same. So much fun.

Alyson Archer kicks off her spicy hockey series with a bang...several of them, actually ;) Lilah and Kincaid's story is a smutty tropefest: age gap, virgin FMC, obsessed (kind of stalkerish, actually--didn't totally love that, but at least he fessed up to it and it didn't last long) MMC, instalove, with a touch of forbidden (due to the whole her-dad's-his-coach part). It's a quick and entertaining read, heavy on the two MC's preoccupation with each other and smexy parts, fairly light on everything else--pretty much exactly what it promised to be.

Rating: 4 stars / B

Taught by the Coach

Somehow this felt like it was a *slightly* slower burn than the first book, though it's only 114 pages so obviously it's not really that slow ;) Trust me, once Sadie and Shane get going, they really get going. ;)

Taught by the Coach is once again, exactly what it says it will be--an age-gap instalove steamy-as-heck romance--this time between a professional hockey coach and his daughter's best friend.

After reading the first book in the series, you'll appreciate the *ahem* slight hypocrisy of Shane giving his daughter and her *only* 14 years older boyfriend grief about their relationship while he lusted after her best friend in secret (don't worry, that scene is actually pretty low angst, all things considered. No friendships are harmed in the course of this book.)

Rating: 4 stars / B

Faking it with the Enforcer

My favorite of the series!

Wolf and Emily's instalove romance somehow *almost* seems like a slow burn--the two of them spend an awful lot of time fantasizing about what they want to do with each other and try fake dating for a hot minute before finally actually getting around to it.

To be fair, it was right around the 50% mark of this novella, so was it really slow burn at all? Of course not. But it managed to *feel* like it was.

It is a bit interesting that so many of the guys connected to this hockey team are ending up in age gap romances, but I'm here for it! ;)

Rating: 4 stars / A-
