It’s the night before Winter Solstice when I receive the worst news. The man who murdered my parents was set free. No punishment, no prison time, and certainly no justice.
Blinded by rage and sorrow, I drink a little too much witch's brew and accidentally summon the snake demons who have been haunting my dreamtime fantasies. Only now, all three of them are very real, and standing in my apartment.
I know I should banish them back to hell. But when they offer to fulfill my Christmas wish, I can’t bring myself to say no.
Being in three, smoking hot demons’ debt can’t be that bad, can it? Or at least that’s what I think until I find out what they want in return…
This is a STANDALONE. This little novella was previously published as part of the Monsters and Mistletoe Holiday Anthology, but has been revised and extended. Enjoy!
i think this is my first time reading smut. What an experience that was.
shout out to my sister ❤️Amber❤️ for suffering reading through this with me.
I get a lot of kindle books for free - and i mean a LOT - so I decided some holiday erotica could function as both a source of amusement and as a low-threat introduction to this.... world of smut. while I had my fair share of LOLs and "what the fuck" moments throughout, suffice to say I unfortunately did not enjoy this book.
the inconsistencies in the narrative, characters, plot, and environment drove me absolutely bonkers. i couldn't get past it. the novel was rife with them. (you JUST told me snake daddy's eyes were blue; what do you MEAN they are glowing yellow? how do the underworld's denizens know what jeans are but have never experienced snow or tasted cookies? why does no one care that she's stealing food from the cook anyways?)
I loathed Charm, the constantly-horny, flimsy-moralled, self-pitying MC. she's as shallow as a raindrop and has the plot armor of an overpowered Disney hero. and she's just annoying. (why is the MC such a brat for no apparent reason? why does she act like such a pick-me patty? why does she believe obtaining justice for her parents' murders and getting railed simultaneously by 3 snake demons are equally important objectives?)
we are supposed to believe that the one and only murder suspect - who MC saw leaving her house at the time her parents were murdered - not only got off scot-free, but was immediately sent to MC's school to be a TEACHER there? 'let's put the alleged murder suspect as close to the child of his victims as we can get.' sounds reasonable.
and not to be dramatic but if I see "pinching" used one more time in any smutty context i'm going to pour ammonium directly into my eyeballs

Oof. This book was exactly what I thought it would be: Shit smut.
Thank you to HeatherAnnReads for reading this with me. It made the torture more bearable.
On top of the atrocious grammar (e.g., author doesn't know the difference between a comma, semicolon, and period), countless incomplete sentences, nonsensical holiday-themed similes (e.g. "relief flooded my veins like hot cocoa"), stereotypical tropes (e.g., small & young FMC), and diabolical sex scenes, this book's plot was weak (with the FMC's motives constantly contradicting), the characters were two-dimensional, and the bad guy was completely pointless.
The so-called "snake demons" could also have been part mermaid, part vampire, part lizard, maybe part chupacabra. I still don't know what the fuck the dean's office is, or when they call her "Dean" if that's her first name or title. The campus seemingly had only two buildings, one being lodging for all campus members (students and professors alike) while also being where all classes are held. The other building seemingly housed all other campus-related fuctions, including the kitchen and dean's office. The fuck?! I definitely left with more questions than answers.
Overall, if you want a super silly, non-serious, poorly-written smut novel, this book might be for you.
Ok hear me out on this one. Snake demons, double 🍆🍆 , secret identities, twists and turns all durning Yule in an academy setting. Charm, a witch who has lost everything in her life is trying to put the pieces of her life back together all while securing a job at the academy she loves so much. But fate seems to have other ideas. On a night of drinking she finds herself opening a portal to somewhere and out pop 3 snake demons. Ones that she knows from her dreams. Did I mention dream sëx?!
This book hooked me from the beginning and kept me turning the pages. Charm and her demons are a force together.
