Thank you Lexi for an e-arc of this book! I’ve been so excited to dive back into this world.

PREVIOUSLY, on the vampire diaries….

No just kidding 😜 but seriously, previously:

Book 1 started us off with Violet and Sebastian and their journey to discovering love and power. After book 1, books 2 & 3 diverted us to Bronwen’s back story. Technically, does Lexi say you don’t have to read these first? Yes….BUT DON’T LISTEN! READ BRONWEN’S BOOKS FIRST! Trust me! They start to come back around in book 4 here and leading into book 5.

Back to book 4, we bring the story back to present time and Violet/Sebastian’s story. We do have some Bronwen POV chapters in here as well. I’m always happy for a story to bring in multi-POV honestly.

Violet is struggling. Her power long since suppressed is crawling its way back up, but she has no control over it. The tug she feels to return home, to the Sun Realm, is ever pulling, but will it ever truly be home? When Sebastian is her home too. Two Sovereigns. Two Kingdoms on the other side of the land from another. In the end, what comes out on top? Love or duty? And when a mysterious power is using its influence throughout the realm and the other Sovereigns, how can they stop the inevitable of history repeating itself?

At the same time, Bronwen is struggling. She puts on a happy and brave face for everyone, but for centuries has been drowning in her own sorrow. When certain incidences drudge up the past and a love long lost still eats away at her, when will she finally break? And once she does, what devastation will follow?

Love…will bring out the best and the worst of you.

And that is a big theme I found throughout this book. In all different types of relationships we have in this book: romantic, familial, friendship, duty, everywhere. And for some, it brings the results wanted but for others, destruction and heartbreak are all that lie ahead.

We got very spicy 🌶️ this book! My man Sebastian has NO plans on keeping his hands (or his shadows 😈) off his mate 🥵

The ending to this book had me on the edge of my seat. And sets everything up perfectly for going into book 5! I wish I had it now!!! I’m SO excited and really hope we continue with the multi-POV and even add in another 1 or 2.

Will love conquer all? Or save some and destroy others?

Oh. My. Gosh. This was everything and more: the character development, the imagery of the other realms, the humour, spice, heart break. How is it possible that every book in this series is better than the last??

There are so many bits within this book I could highlight but I’d end up listing every chapter so I’ll just do a few!!

Chapter 16!!! Wow wow wow I had tears of happiness which I don’t think I’ve ever felt before when reading💛 The way the writing brought the story to life and made me feel like I was there was insane, I was screaming I loved it so much!! I’m trying so hard not to spoil anything but this chapter I thought was just stunning!

Chapter 29 broke my poor little heart. I am soooo glad we get to hear more about Bronwens story and have flashbacks to her book. She is truly a strong, independent woman but her story is so devastating, I love her so much❤️‍🩹

Chapter 35 was an emotional rollercoaster I was holding on for dear life!!! I have never felt so many emotions in one go😭 It was a necessary thing however!! No spoilers but prepare yourselves for mental torment!!🤫

Violet is absolutely my favourite fmc I’ve read about in a long time but Bronwen is a VERY close second💘It was so nice to see Violet come into her own in this book and discover who she really is. Her story of who she is, where she comes from, the sun realm and her parents is beautiful. I’m so excited to hopefully read more about the sun realm in the future because the way Lexi has written it has made it seem absolutely stunning🌅

Everything about this series, specifically this book, is just perfect. I love the fact there are small links to Vampire Diaries (my fave)!!!! Bronwen makes me laugh out loud. Adar seems so misunderstood but I truly loved learning more about him and why he is the way he is (sibling love am I right?!) The spice in this book WOWOWOW I couldn’t breathe😭😮‍💨 Sebastian the MAN YOU ARE!!! The way he takes control, calls her love, I was gasping for air❤️‍🔥

These 4 books have easily become my favourite fantasy series🧚🏼‍♀️💨🌬️🌅 Lexis writing is insane, it’s so easy to resonate with the characters and fall in love with each of them. Can’t wait for what’s to come…..!!!

Firstly, I’d like to thank Lexi for the ARC!

Okay, here are my honest thoughts on the book:

- Language: Descriptive, with a great balance between too much and too little detail. I especially loved the way the new characters were introduced and described
- World-building: I loved that we got to see more of the world! However, it felt a bit rushed, and I would wish for more
- Characters: It’s safe to say that I love Bronwen and Adar as characters! I really appreciated how well their personalities and traumas were written. The relationship between Bash, Vi, Adar, and Bronwen felt sincere. And as much as I love Bash’s protectiveness, his overprotectiveness could sometimes annoy me. I guess, in a way, it added more depth to his character
- Dialogue: Kind of cheesy at times. Some moments genuinely made me cringe. It needed more sarcasm or something to balance it out. Also, why does the millennia-old Lirra woman give off teenage vibes when she speaks?
- Lastly, THE PLOT TWIST! OMG! If there’s one thing Lexi knows how to do, it’s twist the plot and keep you turning pages nonstop! The last 30% of the book was filled with all kinds of emotions. Yes, I need the next book immediately!

OMFG THAT CLIFF HANGER!!😭

Lexi I just wanna talk😡

Book 4 in the series and coming out on the 12th of May and I’m so fucking happy I was able to snag an ARC to this!! Literally felt like gods chosen few🤣

It took me almost a week to complete because I didn’t want to leave the world😭 Everything about this book just gave me butterflies and had me kicking my feet giggling because that’s how much I love this series!!

The tension between Violet and Adar had me raging at one point and then had me giggling at the fact that they end up becoming friends towards the end, especially those last ten chapters! Had me fucking crying during the war scenes!

Don’t even get me started with how fucking GOOD those fight/war scenes were, had me at the edge of the seat clutching my kindle with tears in my eyes😅

OMG AND AUGUST AND BRONWEN!! I can’t spoil it but that shit broke my goddamn heart😭 I can also say again that August is that man🥵 I MISSED MY HUSBAND😭

I wasn’t entirely sure where this book was going at first, but I was so excited to jump back into the world the author has created. The entire time I was yearning to see August again, and I won’t confirm or deny whether he plays a part or not.
Overall, this was a solid read, and it definitely feels like a setup for what’s shaping up to be an absolutely entertaining next book. This book lays a lot of important groundwork and really gives readers a glimpse of the bigger vision the author is building toward, which will probably end up breaking our hearts.
There were a few moments where I wasn’t completely sure what the author was trying to convey, but I think that has more to do with the writing style than the story itself. I think this book did a great job serving as a connecting point between the Sebastian/Violet books and the Bronwen/August books.
I enjoyed reading the book and I’m already impatiently waiting for the next one even though this one hasn’t even been officially been released yet.

✨BETA AND ARC READ✨

I was fortunate enough to beta and arc read this book and holy moly… it did not disappoint!!!!! Jumping back into this world was a high priority on my reading list and seeing Violet and Bash back on the pages had my heart fluttering. Everything about this 4th book was incredible. The pacing is quick but not too quick, the characters arcs were ARCING! It felt awesome to see and feel their growth through the chapters.

The spiiiiice 🤭🤪👀 helloooooo we get some good spice and ONE CHAPTER IN PARTICULAR WILL HAVE YOU SCREAMING hehehehe!

The ending had me crashing out though. Like I FULLY WAS CRASHING OUT IN LEXI’S DM’S!!!! It ended on the most insane cliff hanger too… I was thoroughly invested in the story! I’m already gnawing at the bars of my enclosure for book 5 (pls give it to us soon)

10/10 no notes. I loved every minute of it. I finished it in under 24 hours too lol — thank you Lexi, for choosing me to beta and arc read your books! I truly am your biggest fan and I love these characters to death 🫶🏽🥀🫂

Great connection between the two storylines. It took me awhile, and a lot of studying the maps of Alentara, to fully understand how the realms were connected and where everything was located, but once it all clicked, the story came together beautifully in a way I never expected.

The romance in both storylines was written so well that I felt every emotion alongside the characters through all the love, tension, heartbreak, and conflict. Each couple had their own unique journey, and both were equally captivating.

One of my favorite parts was how the author slowly revealed connections between the realms and characters without making it feel predictable. The world-building was detailed and immersive, and by the end I was completely invested in the story.

This book was so good that I’m already hoping there’s more to read from this world and these characters.

Reading War of Her Throne as an ARC was an incredible experience. This book completely swept me away and took me on an emotional rollercoaster from beginning to end.
The story was intense, captivating, and filled with moments that had me completely invested in the characters and their journeys.
There were so many times I simply couldn’t put the book down I kept telling myself “just one more chapter,” only to find myself still reading hours later. The pacing was excellent, the emotions felt raw and real, and the twists kept me hooked throughout.
Overall, War of Her Throne was an unforgettable read that left a lasting impression on me. If you love emotionally charged stories with gripping storytelling and characters you can truly connect with, this is definitely a book worth picking up.

What in the world?! This was such a roller coaster of emotions. I loved seeing the whole series tie itself together, but I didn’t expect the emotional wreckage to continue on and blast off like it did. And that ending... are you kidding me, Lexi?! I need the next one... like yesterday. This series has a vice-grip on my heart.

Thank you to Lexi Hodges for the eARC opportunity.

Oh my goodness! We are finally back in the Night Realm in Alentara with Sebastian and Violet’s story picking up where War of Her Heart left off.

Violet is figuring out her power and if she is going to rule her realm or stay with Sebastian. It’s chaos and high emotions for them as they are figuring everything out. And Bronwen and Adar are there every step of the way.

When something takes ahold of Sebastian and Violet, it takes everyone to figure out what, or who, it is and how to stop it.

There are some surprising appearances at the end of this book, and I just know that the 5th book will be the best, and craziest, of them all.

I have been hooked on this series since book one and this book is no different. I love that I finally got to see more of Violet and Sebastian. It was incredible seeing their relationship grow. Learning curve for Sebastian to not put Violet in a bubble. Violet needs to find herself and stop hiding. Adar really annoyed me during this book but as the book went on he was extremely relatable. Bronwen girl….. she has suffered so much and when she gets hope it comes with so much darkness and fear. Plot twist I did not see coming and I can’t wait to see what happens next. All I’m saying is that they better get a happy ending!

OH MY GOD, coming back to review in the morning because it’s midnight and “just one more chapter” turned into finishing the book.

Firstly - Lexi's writing has seriously matured in this book, her confidence with the fantasy genre is clear as day. She introduced a lot more world building elements that were probably a little lost on me as I was here purely for the feet kicking romance. By the time I hit the 80 percent mark I could NOT put it down, the way she managed to tie in Bronwen's books and everything it built up to was SO BLOODY CLEVER.

So whilst this took me longer to get into than the previous books, as I got my head around the new fantasy elements- it left me DESPERATE for the next one! I have also recommended to my friends to read B's books first, then book 1 and then book 4. I found this had the most emotional impact knowing her story whilst reading war of her heart (I did a reread)

Getting to read this series pre-release has honestly been such a gift. After book one, I was already so attached to Violet and Sebastian that I just wanted more of them immediately, but getting the chance to dive into Bronwen and Adar’s backstories in books 2 and 3 ended up adding so much depth to the overall story.

Coming back into Violet and Sebastian’s world in book 4 with all of that history behind everyone made the conversations, relationships, and reveals hit so much harder. Everything tied together in a way I genuinely wasn’t expecting and it played out beautifully.

And that ending… I need book 5 immediately because WHAT 😱 Lexi Hodges did it again with War of Her Throne.

TBH I haven’t realized how much I missed these characters until I read this book. I love that we get more of Bronwen’s POV but I would’ve also liked to read some of Adar’ s POV. Another thing I adore is the development of Adar’s and Violet’s relationship it was truly touching. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a nice fantasy read that involves a lot of emotion and intertwined plot twists. Can’t wait for the next part!!.

I just know when she wrote the final chapter... she was laughing maniacally!!!

The final chapter delivers a massive cliffhanger!!! I flipped pages in my e-reader like I missed the ending.

Bash and Violet's evolving love and added tension in their dynamic. Plus, Adair's volatile mix of maybe love and maybe loathing toward Violet. Bronwen’s revelations and deep devotion. I couldn't put it down!!

l am desperate for the next book!!!

From discovering the author on TikTok with her debut print copy to receiving an ARC, watching her growth has been thrilling.

Wow. What a page turner!! This was the best book of the series yet! I can’t get enough of Violet and Sebastian. I love that this book focused a lot on Violet and her journey of finding herself. It makes me excited to see where her and Sebastian go from here.
Bronwen and Adar are two of my favorite characters. The banter and attitude they both bring to the table is unmatched. I can never get enough of their story.
After that ending I need the next book ASAP!!.

I knew I was in the right place the moment I read the quote from Klaus Mikaelson. Once again, I was absolutely thrilled to be reunited with this universe!! And with Violet and Sebastian!!
I absolutely LOVED this one. The story pulled me in right away and reminded me exactly why I fell in love with these characters in the first place. Everything felt immersive, emotional, and impossible to put down.
Definitely one of my favorite reads lately ✨.

Hmmm

Where to begin. I was so excited for this book to be released because I’ve been waiting to see where violet and Sebastian pick up. I felt like I was in a snooze fest. I’m so sad with the lack of anything happening in the first little bit of this book. There were so many times things could have been spicier and different. Idk. I only felt things getting traction was about 70% through this book. I’m definitely a little sad with the direction of this book compared to the other three.

THERE BETTER BE ANOTHER BOOK COMING OUT BC THE WAY MY HEART WAS JUST THROWN AROUND SOBBING

No but seriously i don’t even know how to feel i was not expecting everything to come together like it did and it did so beautifully but adar is going to be so heart broken, like yes she totally can destroy the queen from the inside but the fact that she severed the bond like wtf like yes i love that she got august back love love but she could have kept that communication open with adar🥲 i honestly have no idea what they are going to do but hopefully they figure it out and get their shit together

Thank you Lexi for allowing me to read this as an ARC!! This book had me siiickkk in the best way. This series just gets better and better with every book. The first lines alone had me clutching my pearls. The world building and imagery is like something I’ve never read. This is one of those books you read and can’t comprehend how someone could compose such a story. Can’t give any spoilers but prepare for emotional torment.

This book was so good! I am still trying to process what I just read. The twists and turns. The spice with Bash and Violet. That cliffhanger!!!??? I am unwell. You need to read these books as written and published. The backstory of Bronwen is important and makes this book an even better read. I am needing the next book ASAP!

As most of the books written by Lexi, this book was stunning. Seeing violets journey through out the series has been so beautiful. Lexi is a brilliant author who writes stories that leave you wanting more. I couldn’t stop reading once I started. I finished this book within 48 hours. I loved that we had some Bronwyn in this book because she is my favorite.
I highly recommend reading this book. It was a fantastic addition to the series and I can not wait for what is next!!!

This book gave me life in a way i was so desperately needing. When I first started this series, I was immediately obsessed with Violet and Sebastian and it only got worse when I read about Bronwen. But the way Lexi unfolds the next part of this story and meshes Bronwens story into Violet and Sebastian’s is absolutely beautiful but the ending?!? QUEEEENNN PLEASEEEE.

I realized I genuinely don’t care about anything but Bronwen. Sorry? But like let’s be real here- Bash and Violet have NOTHING on Winnie and August. AND IM SORRY BUT THATS IT? I need um more like now? Like seriously.

Also, why am I like for Adar and Violet… idk if that’s an option but Bash kind of lost his appeal, he’s too… down bad for her and it’s made him lose his character identity. Adar tho? 😏 I mean come on.

I feel like I didn’t enjoy this as much as the other stories. It felt a bit boring and I’m not a fan when there’s just chapters upon chapters about travelling. I do like Sebastian but he can be a bit much and Adar was starting to annoying me. I loved getting August and Winnie back and devastated with the ending. Didn’t expect another cliffhanger and feels like it’s being dragged out. I will read to find out if August and Winnie get their happy ending
