On Fire: The Collection brings together three swoony, spicy, and deeply emotional single dad firefighter romances that will make your heart race as much as they make it melt. Maite Maxwell has this gift of blending high heat with high stakes, delivering stories that are as much about healing and hope as they are about sizzling chemistry.

Each novella has its own unique flavor but they’re all bound by themes of resilience, love after loss, and the kind of devotion only a true family man can give.

Bed on Fire throws you into Kiki and Brock’s story—two people scarred by their pasts, both running, both fighting to believe in something good again. Their journey isn’t just about romance; it’s about reclaiming joy, finding safety in each other, and realizing you don’t have to be perfect to deserve love.

Barn on Fire takes a rawer turn with Cort and Lila, two people who know struggle intimately. Watching them step away from unhealthy coping and into something passionate, steady, and real felt like a triumph. Their love doesn’t just ignite—it redeems.

And then there’s Heart on Fire, where Hannah and Drex turn enemies into something much more combustible. Their sparks fly in every scene, from banter to bedroom, but underneath the fire is a story of learning to trust, forgive, and let yourself be vulnerable with the one person who matches your energy.

I adored how these stories balance the “insta-love” magic with real emotional depth. The spice is deliciously unapologetic, but it never overshadows the tenderness—the way these firefighters love not just their women but their children, their communities, and eventually themselves.

If you’re a fan of small-town romance with heroes who are protective, passionate, and a little rough around the edges, On Fire will have you devouring page after page. Each book is a fast, fiery read, but together they form a collection that leaves you believing in the healing power of love—and craving a firefighter of your own.

This was a delicious collection of stories!

I'd already read the sneak peak for bed on fire and felt intrigued about the rest of the story, and I'm so glad that I got to read two more books alongside.

The cuteness, the spice, the small town vibes, feisty FMC and protector MMC, all of it was exactly what I hoped for.

I'm a sucker for hate-to-love too, so that last one was a nice surprise. I ate it up!

Can't wait to read more from this author. I definitely recommend this book!.

This a great collection of stories that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. My favorite is, "Bed On fire". In this story the last thing she was looking for was romance, but it found her in the most spectacular way when her bed goes up in smoke, and the most handsome man comes to her rescue. This intriguing story drew me in and had me connecting with the characters.
