How can we keep faith alive in our skeptical culture? A dark and unbelieving age has come upon the land of Narnia. It is several hundred years after the events of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe , and memories of Aslan the Lion God have been lost. Narnians are living in an age of practical thinking and zero tolerance of supernatural beliefs. Does this sound familiar? Author Tom Williams contends that our world is going the way of Narnia, and, in this booklet, he invites the reader to go with him and discover something more. Follow Prince Caspian, Lewis's child heroes, and their small band of believers as they fight to restore Aslan to his rightful throne. Join them as they find valiant faith, brotherhood, and pure joy in the living religion of their ancestors.
Prince Caspian here is a secondary thing, it seems more like help for teachers in elementary school who use Narnia for education on thinking than exploration of this literary work.
Do you ever feel like you are lost, longing for something more meaningful? So did Prince Caspian. He ran away from the Telmarine culture that was so dangerous to him, and plunged headlong into adventure with the Narnians so that he could find a more meaningful life with Aslan. The Chronicles of Narnia invites us to consider spiritual truths that lead us to a closer relationship with God. This little book draws parallels between Caspian's story and our own spiritual journeys.
I think this book is marketed to be used as a tool for helping Christians share their belief in Jesus with others. It's a great way to start a conversation about spiritual things with people who may have read the Narnia books without understanding the Christian context. You could share this book with a friend as a way to connect through the story of Prince Caspian and then be able to share the story of Jesus with them too!
I really love the writing style! This book inspires the reader to look deeper into Caspian's story and deeper into our own lives too.
A small little book that has you thinking. Why the world is the way it is. What is wrong with our society? Why people are not happy even though they have the best car, a beautiful house, a wonderful family, great job, everything you have is the best. Then the author explains what you really need and it is not something you can touch. Very quick read but has you convicted.
