A short but sweet book. Managed to read the majority in one day. I really enjoyed the variety of characters and the friendship between Darren and Nesta despite the large age gap. I found it easy to follows the clues along of the murder however I still didn't guess who had done it by the end! It was interesting reading a book from a location I know very well and have lived in for ten years. It made it so much easier to visualise locations and scenery. Very tempted to pick up the first three books now and get to know more about Darren and Nesta with their podcast.

I absolutely adored this book. I read it because it's set in my hometown and thought it would be cool to read something set in my city. I did not expect to fall in love with Nesta and her quick wit and old age.
I found the mentions of the different areas of the city charming and the author has done well to capture the qualities of Chester.

Honestly amazing book cannot get enough of these book currently waiting on the 9th book of the series hope it's a great as the rest and hope there is more to come
