She never thought devotion could bleed—until his love cut deep.

All plus-size student Selene Ward wanted was for the late-night texts from campus heartthrob and student body president Julian Cavanaugh to be real. To be claimed. To be seen. But when he looked at her in daylight and recoiled, Selene swore she’d stop chasing a fantasy.

But what happened next? Flowers on her doorstep. A Polaroid of her sleeping. A whisper behind every shadow. And Julian’s grip only grew stronger.

Julian Cavanaugh. Perfect. Untouchable. The golden boy with ice in his veins—
and a sickness that wore the face of devotion. He doesn’t just love Selene. He catalogs her. Prunes her friendships. Silences her rebellions.

Until every choice she makes bleeds back to him. What begins as secrecy curdles into ritual. He marks her skin, rewrites her ledger, and builds a cage so beautiful she forgets it has bars. And when she dares to resist, he doesn’t break—he tightens.
And the terrifying truth she doesn’t want him to let go.

I liked the way Julian talked. It was almost like poetry. But the book repeated some things over and over again. For example the FMC’s necklace and tattoo. They were mentioned almost every paragraph if not every other paragraph. I wasn’t sure Julian’s exact position was. Because he was the student president? But he had his own office, leather couch, secretary, wore expensive suits, had a fancy apartment buuut still had to go to school? It was like a college edition of 50 shades of Grey (Which I’m not knocking because I enjoyed that series). The FMC asked for all that the MMC offered but then was defiant at his requests.. Then it seems like a page must have gotten mixed up because the story started going backwards. When you read it, you’ll see it. For the most part I did like this book. But it did have its flaws. Which made me glad it was kind of short.
