I'm worried that this might have been written using AI, but I'm not completely sure so I still rated it.
There were large passages that were repeated randomly several pages after they were first read. There were many continuity errors and repeated phrases.
I did like the storyline and the FMC and MMC. Unfortunately, there were glaring omissions from the story. The FMC hated vampires at the beginning but in all the time she spent with the head vampire MMC she never once had the difficult conversation of, "Why do you treat humanity so cruelly?". That would be a pretty important, relevant thing to ask since he's running things. Also, there was all this hint dropping that the bond ritual he performed on her would change her but nothing happened with that. Lastly, she's human and he's an immortal vampire so it would make sense that they would have a conversation about how they're going to be husband and wife when she will age and he won't, but they never did.

Vampire heaven
I really loved this book. It created a world where vampires exist and humans are cast out as the ruling class. The h Bailey was likeable and a spitfire making an incredibly powerful and bored Vampire Alaric to fall fast and hard without spoilers he was hard and possessive in all the right ways slowly making Bailey the center of his world and slowly breaking down her walls but not her spirit.. I was very impressed with how engaged in this I was. It had enough heat and action and danger to keep it interesting from beginning to end ... And Cornyn Vampire yum best friend and please please next book boyfriend I need that book Now!!!!!

“Don’t make me grieve you,”
This is my first time reading a book from this author and I really enjoyed it. I love bwwm/ paranormal romance books and this one hit the spot!!!!! I love a ruthless alpha male who doesn’t play games about his woman and Alaric was just the one you didn’t want to test. This was humorous, had spice, MFC had attitude that I appreciated because what would I do in this situation. I will definitely be reading Corvyn’s story because he was even more ruthless. Job well done, pat yourself on the back for this one. Some typos but this didn’t change anything for me!

Was a bit repetitive (another reviewer mentioned this too) initially I thought that I had re-read the same pages and went back but no.

This author is ne to me. She is a queen of the written word. I am so mad at myself for reading this book so fast. And, now I have to wait for the next one. Here's hoping it releases soon. Oh, about the book: buy it. Her take on vampire lore blends the old with something uniquely hers. At first I was all set to hate Alaric. But, I'm claiming him as my new book boyfriend. And, don't sleep on Bailey. Her growth...Well, let's just say y'all don't want that smoke. I absolutely enjoyed this book. Keep 'em coming.

August 13, 20263.5-4 ⭐️’s. This book grew on me. At first I disliked the lyrical writing style. Then it transitioned to a stilted writing style and I thought it was written by AI. Towards the 50% mark the writing became more of what I am used to reading by authors. I did not like the POV jumping around. A lot of times I was not sure whose POV I was reading from. The author used the word ‘ash’ 25-30 times. It became too redundant.
This book had flaws but overall I enjoyed it. The story improved around 50-60%. I am looking forward to Corvyn’s story.

Good Book
Although I bypassed this book several times based on the cover, this was a decent book. My only issue was the repeating of event versions by the main character's. At times I thought I was reading what I previously read again and had to go back to realize the events were from another persons perspective. Corvyn's care free lethal attitude made him a favorite, I am definitely looking forward to reading his story.

Slated and bitten
I so love a well written vampire romance... Beautiful story...Alaric the beautiful black eyed king and his precious kitten... The one he would turn the world into ash for...the light to his dark bleeding heart...I wish I could give this book ten stars...but but but wait ..there's more..Corvyn's story is next and judging by his BDE...and wicked sarcasm... this will be epic..oh yeah 🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆

loved it and yes we need a corvyn standalone
I love this story. My only nitpick is that I did have to skip some parts because it was just a retelling of the same scene just from the male or female lead point of view that was unnecessary. But I devoured this book and corvyn was so funny and loyal loved him

OMG … Loved it! Bailey and Alaric, started off crazy, but Bailey finally realized that her life was for the better with Alaric. Corvyn was the best BFF! Hoping that he gets a book!!!!

great read
I was in a complete book reading slump. But Alaric and Kitten (lol) got me out of it. I love a strong FMC and even tho she became his consort in the end she was his everything more than just consort… I loved it and can’t wait for the next book

Alaric is rapey and creepy, Bailey loses her autonomy for love. The POV changes only to retell the same events. Sexual contact happened early and without consent. Alaric represents everything I hate about dark romance, insta love/lust abusive MMC, disjointed POV, woman falls in love with captor.
