A best friend’s brother, a high-stakes holiday pickleball game, and a spark they can’t ignore.

Sadie:

I’ve had a crush on Beckett Dawson forever—my best friend’s older brother, the hometown golden boy turned pro pickleball player. He’s been gone for years, but when he walks into my early-morning practice, I finally have a chance for him to notice me... and not just because I can return his serve.

Beckett:

After a messy breakup with my doubles partner—on and off the court—I won’t ever mix pickleball with romance again. But when the chance to take on my ex in our hometown Christmas tournament comes up, Sadie Hart is the only partner I want by my side. Trouble is, the more time we spend together, the more I realize the real game I’m playing isn’t on the court—it’s protecting my heart from falling for the girl I was never supposed to want.

A Christmas Court(ship), a best friend’s brother novella, is book 3 of the Letters to Mrs. Claus multi-author series—a kisses-only romantic comedy collection bursting with holiday cheer. Each story is linked through Mrs. Claus’s Operation Mistletoe Match, where she receives a letter from a meddling friend or family member about someone lonely, heartbroken, or closed off to love. With her timeless wisdom, Mrs. Claus pens a tailored message to the subject of the letter, offering an inspiring note that tackles their romantic roadblock. Packed with hilarious mishaps, flustered blushes, and courageous adventures as they chase their happily-ever-after in this no-spice, swoon-worthy series!

Oh my heart ! I love this story! Tiffany Noelle Chacon has done a stellar job on this Mrs Claus book. It’s sweet as all heck and check out Beck 🫠 Ahem sorry got carried away ,that’s Beckett to you guys who haven’t read yet . He was Sadie’s crush since forever her best friend’s older bro ya know . Of course he never saw her back then as anything more but she knows that he knows what a Pickleball court is for and as it happens years later he becomes her secret weapon… Her nemesis Jessica has stolen her doubles partner and she’s baying for blood with pickleball her weapon of choice while Beckett is stood taking it all in as well as the din they’re making . He offers to step in to partner her in the homecoming Christmas competition …What starts as competition on the court turns into something they didn’t ought but he’s a man on a mission to court Sadie into submission .He does the wooing that’s for sure while Sadie acts all demure she’s jumping up and down like all her Christmases have rolled into one to finally call this man her hon. It’s not been plain sailing for either of them . He lost his girlfriend and doubles partner in one fell swoop and swore he wouldn’t go there again but then comes along his sister’s best friend and he doesn’t refrain. Although Sadie seems like she knows where she’s at ,she’s got a lot to work through too . So it’s just as well they met their match with Delores Dawson aka DeeDee on their side and look what she’s done with her letter ,now do you feel a whole lot better? The side of love is the one to be sure of . This cute story is one you can be sure of it’s sweet and has fun in it too . Go see for yourself I would ,it’s really top shelf and the same as the others in this awesome series, it’s the bees knees good.

A Christmas Court(ship): A Sweet Best Friend's Brother Holiday RomCom (Letters to Mrs. Claus) by Tiffany Noelle Chacon

My Review

A Christmas Court(ship): A Sweet Best Friend's Brother Holiday RomCom (Letters to Mrs. Claus) by Tiffany Noelle Chacon is an absolute delight! Tiffany does a fantastic job explaining pickleball—my husband is a big fan of the sport, and her description was spot-on. It really drew me into the story and might even make me more interested in the games he watches!

The romance between Beckett and Sadie is truly captivating. Beckett grapples with the shadows of a lost love and the walls he’s built around his heart, feeling he’s too old for Sadie, who is also the sister of his best friend. Meanwhile, Sadie struggles with her self-confidence, complicating their connection. Their journey is one of warmth, tension, and a bit of playful rivalry both on and off the court.

I absolutely loved this book and wholeheartedly recommend it. It's the perfect blend of holiday cheer and heartfelt romance!

Wow-I adored this book!! Sadie and Beckett are perfect, and I love that this was a best friend’s brother trope where the friend was cheering for the relationship. Again, I’m just so impressed with how this story was developed to make the romance realistic and fully fleshed out in such a short read. The longing in this one, the insecurities they both had, and the precious way that their love helped them both see themselves and their world more clearly…Gah! I just loved it!!!

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author and though I didn’t have to leave a review upon finishing it, I wanted to offer my honest, voluntary impression of the book.

This is the third book in the new series set around Christmas time which cover stories of lonely, heartbroken and those closed off to love after failed relationships. In these books one of the main characters friends or relative writes Mrs Claus a letter asking her to work some of her Christmas magic on behalf of the individual to change his or her life by writing a letter to that individual.

Sadie has always had a crush on her best friends older brother but knew it was one sided. However one day the person in question shows up as she is practicing pickle ball and when their exes appear who dumped them both to pair up together, Beckett tells Sadie they can win the upcoming tournament if they team up.

Things go well until he starts to fall for Sadie and then pulls back because of what happened with his ex and the distancing and Mrs Claus’s letter to him tells him to give Sadie and his feelings a second chance.

I enjoyed this book and this series and wholeheartedly recommend this book and this series (I’ve now read all three books so far that have been released) as ones I know you’ll enjoy as well. These are no spice sweet clean books which show you don’t have to have explicit sex scenes to sell books! Good books sell themselves by the story content and the connection readers form with the characters they are reading.

These stories are uplifting as you share empathy with the characters for in some ways they are exactly like you yourself!

Pick up this book and the two before it and read books you will enjoy and recommend to your friends and family to read as well.

I can assure you that you won’t regret reading these books!

Letters to Mrs. Claus had had book 3 arrive. A Christmas Court(ship) by Tiffany Noelle Chacon is a wonderful addition to this collaborative series and has you falling in love with the spirit of the holiday season as two hearts find each other in this sweet and short story.

I actually loved how our MCs came together to participate in a Pickleball Tournament together. When they run into their ex’s while at a court, they agree to enter, and win, the tournament together. As they practice together, Sadie is just reminded why she likes Beckett, while Beckett begins to see a different side of Sadie. Some fear from the last relationship he was in lingers and he is hesitant to take it any further with Sadie than just court partners.

I have really loved the role that Mrs.Claus’ letters play as well. Although you definitely feel some of the holiday magic, her letters truly just give the person who needs to act the inner strength and courage to do so. She reminds people why love is important and why not miss out on it. They truly are uplifting, while bringing a sense of whimsy to the story.

With none of the books having more than kissing, these authors prove time and time again that romance doesn’t need sex to sell or for feelings to be felt. It is evident that our MCs have chemistry and that sweet romance can be just as compelling as explicit romance. All of the stories so far in this series are uplifting, sweet, and magical while getting you ready for the holiday season. Read this series in any order you like also! Each is a standalone, but if you have read my reviews before, you know I highly recommend reading them all!

As always, review any author notes before reading.

Sadie lost her pickleball partner, Will, to Jessica, a snobby doctor turned full-time pickleball player. She’s out for revenge, and she’s found it with Jessica’s ex, and Sadie’s long-time crush, Beckett. He’s back in town for the holidays, and he takes it upon himself to help Sadie with her game. There’s a charity fundraiser tournament coming up, and Sadie wants to beat Jessica and Will.

Beckett hasn’t seen Sadie in a while; he’s been on a pickleball pro tour. And though they’ve known each other their whole lives, and she’s best friends with one of his sisters, he’s suddenly seeing her as the woman she is now. And, of course, he decides that he can’t mix pickleball and a relationship, based on…oh, yeah. ONE bad experience. Yeah. ONE. Sheesh, Beckett, come on!

I know a bit about pickleball, but I’ve never watched tournaments or anything like that. (I’m much more of a hockey/football/basketball/soccer sort of woman.) But from this book, I learned a lot, and I now have a greater appreciation for the game. Also, the chemistry between Beckett and Sadie is so sweet and delicious that you can’t help but root for them.

Addendum: Recently, while waiting for my grocery pickup to be brought out, my husband remarked that there was a tennis court at the apartment buildings next door. I looked at the court and said, “That’s not a tennis court. IT’S A PICKLEBALL COURT!” How did I know? Because I could see the kitchen, which was painted blue! I was ridiculously proud of myself.

Naturally, this book has a happy ending, because Mrs. Claus manages to get through to Beckett in a letter sent just for him. Like all books from this author, I loved this story, and I’m very much looking forward to the rest of this series.

Mrs. Claus strikes again playing matchmaker for Beckett. If you think you can avoid her matchmaking skills by throwing her letter away, you better think again. We are talking North Pole magic here.

Beckett has kind of sworn off love altogether, but he for sure has vowed to never date another pickleball partner since the last one burned him. He decides he will never mix sports with romance.

Sadie has been crushing on Beckett for a while. Years ago she was Beckett's little sister's best friend, so he never saw her as anything other than a little girl. Sadie is no longer a little girl, and Beckett cannot help but notice. Beckett and Sadie get paired together for the pickleball tournament, and as they say, the rest is history. Add in the mean girl vibes and the story is set for victory.

I learned a lot about the game of pickleball, some of which I still do not understand. Apparently you are supposed to stay out of the "kitchen" on the court. I am still scratching my head at that one trying to figure out how someone came up with that terminology. I laughed like a crazy woman while reading this story. This was especially true with a couple of memorable scenes. One involved a frilly apron on a shirtless Beckett and the other was a wild serve that hit just the right spot. Let's just say the guy on the other side of the net was singing soprano for a short while.

This book will brighten your day and increase your holiday spirit, while also giving you an education in the highly popular sport of pickleball.

Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This charming holiday romance combines the unexpected world of professional pickleball with all the cozy feels of a small-town Christmas. Sadie and Beckett's story hits all the right notes—from their effortless banter and playful nicknames to the slow-burn realization that childhood friendship has blossomed into something more. The revenge match subplot adds a fun competitive edge, and watching their partnership develop both on and off the court is genuinely swoon-worthy. I loved how their relationship deepened through gingerbread house making, tournament practice sessions, and a pivotal Christmas dance that left both of them wondering what they mean to each other.

What really made this book work was how there were themes of self-confidence and finding someone who truly believes in you. The dual POV let us see both Sadie's insecurities and Beckett's conflicted feelings about risking their friendship for something more. The pickleball setting felt fresh and on-trend, and the flashback scenes added wonderful depth to their connection. Between the best friend's brother trope, childhood crush vibes, and all the festive Christmas activities, this was a sweet, funny read that had me chuckling out loud at several scenes. Perfect for anyone looking for a lighthearted sports romance with holiday magic.

Tiffany Noelle Chacón’s addition to the multi-author Letters to Mrs. Claus series is a best friend’s brother Christmas romcom with a heavy dose of pickleball. Delores Dawson, better known as DeeDee, is worried about her grandson Beckett Dawson, most specifically about his guarded heart, so she takes matters into her own hands and writes Mrs. Claus, the official Operation Mistletoe Matchmaker. Beckett, a professional pickleball player, has guarded his heart ever since his doubles partner and girlfriend dumped him. Now he’s back home in North Carolina for the holidays and stumbles upon his little sister’s best friend, Sadie Hart, trying to murder someone or something with her pickleball playing. Sadie is out for revenge because her arch rival Jessica has stolen her doubles pickleball player away from her just when they were starting to win big. She’s caught off guard when pro-player, Beckett, the guy she’s crushed over since childhood, offers to help her with her playing. Beckett with his guarded heart begins to wonder if he’s got himself into a “pickle”.
A delightful novella with wonderful characters including some teasing sisters and cousins and there’s plenty to learn about pickleball. Since I was unfamiliar with the game I appreciated the author including a glossary of terms. Beckett struggles with opening up his heart again while Sadie struggles with confidence issues but together they eventually make a great team. My favorite quote from this book: “For so long , I’ve been trying to protect my heart, shielding it from hurt and pain. But now that I’m kissing Sadie, I realize that in trying to avoid pain, I shut myself off from joy. From life.” A sweet, clean sports-related romcom that can be read in a couple hours that will put a smile on your face.

MC: Sadie Hart and Beckett Dawson, First person dual POV 5/5 stars

I smiled and laughed my way through this book. It's a short read that packed so much into it, that it felt like I read a full length novel. Sadie and Beckett start out wanting to get revenge on their ex-doubles pickleball partners who are now partnered together, but end up having to figure out how to play together. What they don't realize is that it is not their skill but rather their feelings for each other that is getting in the way of them playing well together - she is worried she's not good enough for him and he doesn't want to mix the game with love. Such a cozy read with perfect holiday vibes, I'm ready to grab some hot cocoa put on a fireplace video on my screen, since I can't get my real fireplace to work, and curl up with this book. Definitely going on my favorites shelve.

This book has: brother's best friend, pickleball, revenge on their ex doubles pickleball partners, meddling grandmother, large family for the holidays, gingerbread chai latte and Gingerbread House Competition

Related books: This is Book 3 in the Letters to Mrs. Claus series

I read an ARC copy of the book and this is my honest review.

Love is in the air & on the court.

I was hooked from the very first sentence of the prologue, either because I’m a pickleball enthusiast or a big fan of all books by Tiffany Noelle Chacon. Either way, she scored big time in this cleverly written Christmas-cute story which is part of a 12 book/12 author collection: Letters to Mrs. Claus Series.

Although Sadie is the first to express desire to get revenge against a nemesis, it wasn’t until I read Beckett’s reaction to the same foe that I added my name to the list of people wanting to see karma served.

Tiffany has a skillful way of getting the laughter bubbling- from giggles to guffaws with rich story telling and characters you’ll adore, swoon over, and thoroughly enjoy. The banter is also great throughout & a myriad of characters appear that
you will want to see more of (come on Fairy Bookmother, give us spinoffs!).

There is much of this story to love from the pickleball matches to grandma’s note to Mrs. Claus and the flashback sequences.

Another great stocking stuffer, for the win!

As an ARC reader, I received an advanced copy and this review is my genuine take on the book.

Football, hockey, pickleball... it doesn't matter what the sport, Tiffany Noelle Chacon delivers a great romance just the same! For as many sports romance stories as I read, I do believe this is the first that was centered around pickleball, so that was fun! Throw in one of my very favorite tropes (best friend's brother) and all the holiday cheer and tradition... with just a touch of North Pole whimsy and there was a whole lot to enjoy packed into this one! Sadie and Beckett had a really sweet chemistry between them, and I really enjoyed seeing those glimpses of their past and the moments that led them to the present... having that shared history always really helps things not to feel to rushed with shorter romances like this one-- easily read in just a sitting or two! The concept of this series is so fun, and this was another great addition to it!

A Christmas Court(ship) is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language. It is part of the Letters to Mrs. Claus series-- a multi-author series of holiday novellas that can all be enjoyed as standalones or in any order.

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed the pickleball theme of this story and how it even went through to having a pickleball paddle at the beginning of every chapter. I loved the whole sister’s brother trope and how Sadie and Beckett have been in each other’s orbits for a very long time and now when Sadie needs a partner for a tournament, Beckett to the rescue. I wasn’t a fan of how Beckett was towards Sadie after ‘the kiss’ and when he received the letter and disrespected it the way he did, not a fan of that at all. However Grandma DeeDee is taking no prisoners in her matchmaking of Sadie and Beckett. We also have a nemesis in the names of Will and Jessica who are out to get Sadie and Beckett on the pickleball circuit. I had no idea this sport could be so cut throat. Just when I thought all hope was lost, surprise surprise the letter magically reappeared when Beckett and Sadie needed it and Beckett finally saw the light and was all in with Sadie. The ending with the triumph over their nemesis was a huge high five in this book and the epilogue with an even bigger win for both Sadie and Beckett was perfect. Great book!

Another amazing Letters to Mrs Claus read. Sadie has had a crush on her best friend's older brother Beckett since high school. They haven't seen each other recently since he has been gone on tour for pickleball. But he is back in town for the holidays and agrees to help Sadie with a charity tournament that is coming in since she lost her partner to his ex-girlfriend. Yep, can we say a little revenge is in the works. As Sadie put it revenge is her love language. But watching these two come together over pickleball is really pretty magically.
Both of them learn that there is no such thing as love without risk. But with the right partner that risk feels like flying instead of falling.
I absolutely loved this one. It is a sports romance, sweet best friend's brother holiday Romcom with no spice and a slow burn. Tiffany did a great job explaining pickleball among you getting to know and love Sadie and Beckett.
Highly recommend.

This was such a fun, athletic, and swoony Christmas novella. I didn't know anything about pickleball before I read this book, but just like with all of Tiffany’s books, she has a way of sucking you into the sport part of the story just as much as the romance. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and all of the Christmas nostalgia of cookies, gingerbread houses, sweaters, and movie marathons. I adore sister’s best friend & childhood crushes getting their chance later as adults… but I also love a matchmaking granny. 💕And this book has all of these!

With only 114 pages, it’s perfect for reading in one sitting cozied up by Christmas lights and a chai latte or hot chocolate. ☕️

Fun Fact: I named Sadie’s last name! So that was super fun reading “Sadie Hart” throughout this story. 😍

While Sadie is Beckett’s sister’s best friend, it is revenge that brings them back in each other’s orbits. The two team up as partners in a charity pickleball tournament to compete against her former partner and his ex-girlfriend. While Sadie is concerned about Beckett ditching her like her last partner did because she isn’t good enough, Beckett is remembering that pickleball can be fun by playing with Sadie.

After what happened with his ex, he swears to never mix personal and professional again, which leads to him spiraling as his feelings for Sadie become obvious. He just needs a little push from his grandma and Mrs. Claus to remind him that love is sometimes a little messy, but it’s the greatest gift.

This was a quick, cute book that can easily be read in one sitting. I liked the flashbacks that let us see how long these two have been into each other. I’m also glad that karma came for their nemeses.

I loved Sadie and Beckett. They both want revenge on Jessica, who is a genuinely terrible person, and decide to team up to get it. Beckett has sworn off relationships since Jessica broke up him, so he doesn't notice that he is jealous when Ollie asks Sadie to be his partner in a game, or one time when he sees them playing together, or when Ollie asks Sadie if she's going to the dance and Beckett jumps in and says she going with him. When he gets the letter from Mrs. Claus, he glances at it, sees it has 'some nonsense about being open to love' and throws it in the trash. I was a little surprised by that, but it was a very Beckett move. He is surprised when another one shows up in his car later. He actually reads it that time, and realizes maybe it's not so bad. Sadie has her own insecurities because her classmates in school always said she was bad and was bringing their team down.
I thought their version of 'debriefing' after taking Jessica and Will down was pretty funny. I also loved the epilogue!

Beckett Dawson, professional pickleball player was burned by a on and off court romance by his former partner, but after a trip home for the holidays, but after a letter from Mrs. Claus he just might reconsider his aversion to romance. Sadie Hart needs a partner for the upcoming charity pickleball tournament, and her best friends brother Beckett would be the perfect choice. She had a teenage crush on Beckett that she realizes never went away, and Beckett isn't interested in anything deeper, but a little Christmas magic just might be the push they need to find happiness together.
I adored these wonderfully realistic and compelling characters that kept me engaged in their story from the first page of this book. Fun and funny holiday romance with and interesting, maybe even a little magical, twist and a happily ever after. I recommend this sweet and clean Christmas romance that delivers all the feels to any reader.

The courage to unwrap love... a beautiful story of love and overcoming fear, allowing the heart to receive true love. Beckett and Sadie's story is heartwarming. It is a story of overcoming fear and reaching out to grab a future of love and happiness. The atmosphere of true friendship and family is felt throughout the story as one reads about sibling love, sisterhood, and family connections. The author did a beautiful job of interweaving sports, love, and Christmas cheer into one sweet read. Pickleball..another sport learned. The words leap out of the pages as you feel the tension and the wins. A Christmas Court(ship) reminds us that we can rise above our fears whether in love or other aspects of our lives, believe in ourselves and take the bold step to step out of our comfort zone.
Beckett and Sadie both took steps of growth and found happiness. Beautiful characters all the way. I look forward to reading more books from this author.

A really sweet rom/com. Sadie has always had a crush on her best friend's older brother, Beckett Dawson who left the area for a while to be a professional pickleball player. Sadie is a player and when Beckett shows up where she was practicing, he's back home. Sadie still had a crush. Beckett has sworn off any relationships with pickleball partners especially. He's was hurt by his ex-doubles partner who was also his girlfriend. Beckett watches Sadie as she pounds the ball with vengeance since Jessica stole Sadie's partner, Will. With a charity competition coming up, Sadie teams up with Beckett to play against Jessica and Will. Not wanting to get into a relationship Beckett finds himself drawn to Sadie and she wishes there could be something between them. Does Mrs. Claus's letter make a difference? Will Beckett be able to open up to his feelings for Sadie? This is such a sweet wonderful book that I highly recommend in the Christmas series. I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

I love all things Tiffany Noelle Chacon, and this does not disappoint; this is book three in The Letters to Mrs. Claus series. Sadie has always had a crush on Beckett Dawson; but he is best friends with her older brother. Sadie has just been dumped by Will, her pickleball partner, Will has hooked up with Jessica a snooty snob, she is Beckett's ex; they are now pickleball ball partners. Sadie practices pickleball everyday, and Beckett runs into her and offers to help her with her game. Beckett is a pro pickleball player, and is home for the Christmas holidays. Beckett finds Sadie to be a good player, but also remembers how sweet and beautiful she is. But you can't mix romance and pickleball! Beckett signs them up for The Cypress City's annual Charity Fundraiser tournament. Beckett and Sadie partner together in a revenge match against Will and Jessica!! Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Tiffany Noelle Chacon, and more Letters to Mrs. Claus!!!

- Christmas romance
- Best friend's brother
- Pining

I am loving this new series, Letters to Mrs. Claus! The stories are short and sweet with the perfect amount of Christmas spirit to get me ready for the holidays!

The premise of the series is that Mrs. Claus receives letters asking for help finding love - others write in on behalf of someone they think is deserving. I think this is absolutely lovely!

This story focuses on Beckett and Sadie. They have known each other for ages since Sadie's best friend is Beckett's sister. Beckett is a professional pickleball player and Sadie is an amateur who is preparing for a tournament. She is a bit flustered since her pickleball partner recently left her to joing up with her nemesis Jessica... Beckett offers to team up with Sadie since he's in town for the holidays, which reminds Sadie of how much she liked him growing up.

The pace of this sweet love story is perfect for the story - not rushed. I found myself smiling multiple times, especially during the gingerbread contest. This is the perfect feel good book!

I love the Idea of Mrs. Clause having a dating service where people can write her a letter and she can help push them in the write direction.

Short, Sweet, Christmas Romance
Dolores ( grandma of Beckett ) writes to Mrs. Clause to help her grandson find love after a broken heart.

Beckett is a Professional PickelBall player. After his broken heart he doesnt want to date someone within the world of pickleball.

Sadie is a Nurse who plays pickball for fun when her playing partner leaves to pair with someone else she is devastated. Sadie is best friends with Beckett's sister.
Sadie has always had a crush of Beckett for years.

They decide to team up not only for alittle revenge ( because Sadie's ex (playing) prather Will leaves to play picleball with Beckett's ex girlfriend Jessica who are now a couple) to help eachother. Beckett learns to have fun playing the games he loves. Sadie needs a new doubles partner.
As they spend more time together their feelings start to change

This is one of the twelve stories in the Letters to Mrs. Claus series. Each book is written by a different author and each is a standalone read so you can read them in any order you want.

Thank goodness for the Pickleball Glossary the author included at the beginning of the book. I know nothing about pickleball so the diagram and the definitions were very helpful!

This is a story about choosing “us” over “me”. About letting go of the idea of revenge to be your best self. To be enough for yourself.

Super cute and I loved the gingerbread house making contest! What a great family and friends get together.

I was surprised at the public PDA between the two main characters. Not that they needed to hide it but considering they’ve been like family for years, I was surprised there wasn’t more conversations amongst the siblings or parent or anything before they are hugging/kissing/holding hands in public.

An intriguing story about two family friends ending up competing in a pickle ball tournament against her former partner and his former girlfriend. Hours, days, weeks of intense work practicing while daily life and Christmas prep continues. Oh my goodness Mrs. Clause knows what she's talking about!

Now pickle ball itself isn't romantic, or I didn't think it was, however romance blooms on the court! Many of us don't know much about this sport, and one of the best things about this book was getting a introduction to the sport at the beginning of the book...leveling the playing field for readers like me.
I loved the characters and the way they were honest even when vulnerable. It was nice to have family activities and see characters in realistic situations. A delightful story, great characters, and a perfect ending. A trifecta of happiness!

Grandma DeeDee writes to Mrs. Claus to help Beckett, who has closed himself off after a bad breakup. Lifelong family friends Beckett and Sadie pair up for pickleball and find more than they thought possible. Beckett starts off believing they are only friends and have styles that are too different to become more. He sees her as “the sassy, strong sweet girl I’ve known my whole life…” Sadie has lessons to leave about her own value, revenge, and that villains always get what’s coming to them. Their sisters and cousins are a great addition, watching the by-play between them and humorously seeing what they don’t (“I’ve got $20 on them dating before New Year’s.”). As their time together grows, so does their relationship. Check out their HEA and consider “debriefing” with your special someone after reading this cute story.

I gratefully received an ARC copy, but all opinions are my own.

A clean romance, short enough to read in one sitting, and perfect for getting into the holiday spirit.

This was such a sweet and festive read. I really liked the idea of Mrs. Claus helping people find love through letters. Beckett and Sadie’s romance was fun to follow, especially with all the pickleball drama.

Sadie has had a crush on Beckett for years, but never thought he’d notice her. When they end up teaming up for a tournament, things start to shift. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow, especially as they both had to deal with past heartbreaks. Beckett is guarded, and Sadie struggles with confidence, but together they make a great team.

The story had a nice balance of humour, emotions and holiday cheer. I didn’t know much about pickleball before reading this, but the way it was woven into the plot made it easy to follow and actually fun.

Tiffany Noelle Chacon is a master at writing sports romance and this one is no exception. Having only ever heard about pickleball, I felt like I knew the sport when I was done reading. At the same time it was sweet to see the romance grow.

Sadie needs help with a charity pickleball tournament and Beckett is the professional pickleball player (and old family friend) who jumps to her aid. When old feelings start to reemerge, maybe what they need is a nudge from Mrs Claus.

Highlights:
The apron scene 😂
Christmas movie closeness
Pickleball coaching

I love Sadie for being sassy. I love her dedication and hard work.

I love Beckett for his compassion and humbleness.

“I realize there’s no such thing as love without risk. But with the right partner, that risk feels like flying instead of falling.”
This was an ARC, all thoughts are my own.
