📚✨ ARC REVIEW ✨📚
The Proposal Pact by Daisy Thorn
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 (4.5/5 stars)

Thank you @lunaliterary.management for a free ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Sophie's life is falling apart when she flees to Loverly Cave, home of her BFF Grace. With no job and an ex-boyfriend she wasn't even aware she was no longer dating, Sophie is desperate for a fresh start.

Enter Callum: tattooed Navy vet turned Sheriff, back in town after 16 years away and definitely not looking for love. But after meeting Sophie (thanks to a hockey-induced “emergency” and a stint in the drunk tank), Callum realizes she’s the kind of hot mess he just might need. The two strike an impulsive deal— marry for one year so the meddling “Love Hive” and her older brother will get off their backs.

What follows is a marriage of convenience full of banter (she calls him Shrek 😂), vulnerability, and far more heat than either expected. Fake feelings start to feel real, leaving them to question if love is worth the risk.

I went in expecting a light romcom, but Daisy Thorn delivers something richer: classic small-town antics, heartfelt romance, and plenty of steam. This book gave me Stars Hollow vibes, made me laugh out loud, and totally melted my heart.

Callum’s daily mandatory “dirty texts” (Sophie's rule 😂) had me fanning myself, and his “my wife” energy? Yum. Pair that with his emotional arc—grief, healing, and opening himself up to love again—and I was hooked.

Sophie may be the conductor on the hot mess express, but she is the kind of woman I want to be friends with. She will get drunk and sing in a fountain one night, and have deep meditations on why she can't find love the next. She's a real person and I love her for it.

I enjoyed this book so much that I plan to go back and read the entire series. It's too good to miss!

A fake marriage meets meddling grannies with a grumpy sheriff and a hockey-obsessed chaos queen: what could possibly go wrong.

Daisy Thorn delivers another delightfully chaotic romantic comedy in The Proposal Pact, where desperation meets charm in the quirkiest small town imaginable. When the local Granny Gang sets their matchmaking sights on our reluctant town sheriff, Callum he hatches a plan: fake a proposal to Sophie Levidis, the town’s most unpredictable whirlwind of color, sass, and sports trivia.

What starts as a strategic escape from love quickly spirals into something far more real. Thorn’s writing is sharp, hilarious, and full of heart. Sophie is a standout with her unapologetic personality and emotional depth that make her impossible not to root for.

And let’s talk about Callum aka Clover going full “my wife” mode. The man doesn’t just fake a proposal, he commits. Protective with a capital P, Clover stakes his claim with the kind of intensity that makes your heart race and your Kindle overheat. He’s not just playing pretend; he’s buying a ring, throwing down at coffee shops and making it crystal clear to anyone, especially his family that Sophie is his. The possessiveness is deliciously romantic and never overbearing, it is just the right mix of alpha energy and genuine vulnerability. It’s the kind of moment that makes you want to scream into a pillow and then immediately reread the chapter. To top that, OMG is Clover the king of dirty texting. His messages are the kind that make your jaw drop and your cheeks flush. Honestly, if Sophie ever published a coffee table book titled Texts from Clover, I’d buy it in hardcover and annotate it.

This book is perfect for fans of small-town romances with big personalities, fake dating and laugh-out-loud dialogue plus many swoon-worthy moments.

If you’ve been following the Loverly Cave series, this is a satisfying, high-energy finale that ties everything together with warmth and wit. And if you’re new to the series, welcome to the madness. You’re in for a ride.

A huge thank you to Daisy Thorn and Luna Literary for the early copy!

The Proposal Pact was a sweet and fun romance that snuck up on me. Daisy Thorn serves up a grumpy sheriff × determined heroine combo that had me grinning and laughing out loud.

There are sparks between Callum & Sophie are hot. The small town charm, the meddling grandmas (I loved their group texts so much) and all the love and drama that comes with a marriage of convenience.

Seriously though, I absolutely fell for Callum - the man is protective, sexy and the whole 'my wife' thing had me running hot in the best way! And OMG his dirty texting **gasp** yes please! The man can sext! It was probably my favorite part of the book!

If you’re in the mood for a story that’s equal parts sweet, steamy, and utterly addictive, this book is calling your name. Trust me, you’ll fall in love with Loverly Cave and its latest romantic disaster. I did jump into this book without reading the ones before it. While it is still enjoyable, I would recommend reading the other books in the series to get a better grasp of the characters and a feel for Loverly Cave - I already have them on my TBR shelf!

Thank you to Daisy & Luna Literacy for the advance copy.

A final stop at Loverly Cave. This is the series that introduced me to Daisy’s books and I’ve enjoyed each of these books in the series. Loverly Cave continues to be full of quirky, meddling characters but they all have good intentions. Our FMC, Sophie is a little chaotic for me, but I definitely believe her heart is pure and her desire to take control of her life/future is admirable. She brings lots of joy to Callum, our MMC, and her personality is what helps heal his heart which was really sweet to watch unfold. Callum, is a loveable grump who has come back to his crazy hometown, and although his heart is a little broken he fits perfectly back in Loverly Cave, he brings some common sense to the town. Overall, the final book in the series is an enjoyable, easy read, with no third act breakup. Although it is mostly fun and light-hearted there is also character/relationship growth to balance it out. Thank to you Daisy for the ARC of this latest release.

ARC Review of The Proposal Pact by Daisy Thorn <3

The enemies to lovers in this book was brilliant, from breaking into her house to a happily ever after? Incredible. This was a cute small town, cosy read that I enjoyed. I think it would be a good book for autumn as small town equates to autumn for me? The friendship, especially between the guys is this book is so fun to read as well!

☆☆☆☆/5

[Something to note, one of the side characters in the book uses hp references frequently, which took me out of the story a bit but when that side character wasn't present, the story was very enjoyable]

This book!!!
Was exactly what I needed. It was light hearted, funny, full of chaos that only small town books can bring. I loved Sophie’s personality and her passion for colour and hockey.

Callum was the perfect mmc for the story. He was funny, sweet and when the “my wife” comes out. I’d just melt into a puddle.

This book is one hysterical moment after another. The main characters played so well off of each other. Callum was grumpy and closed off while Sophie was light and colors. The descriptions were so good it was like you could see what she wrote about. If you are looking for a light hearted, funny, sweet, romantic book, be sure to grab this one.

Book six in the Loverly Cave Series. Sophia can’t get a break. Her life is not what she thought it was gonna be like. She moves to loverly cove with her friend. Callum sheriff of the town and hot. They meet in a hockey game. They make a deal, get married for a year and then move on. Half way there they lose them self in each other. She’s a hot mess. But maybe that what this sheriff needs in his life. Someone to keep him on his toes.

Loverly Cave Town is a crazy chaotic place I plan to revisit over & over. It is happiness, confidence & learning. Embracing your true self is the fastest way to finding your happiness.

Callum & Sophie are the pinnacle of opposites attract, with delicious banter. They hooked me in and I couldn't put it down! I am absolutely obsessed with how everyone in the town is a caricature for their traits, but somehow also has depth & dimension! Love love love this couple!

But seriously, don't drink the water! Or is it Willa's cocktails? Either way, that's a freaking fertile town 😂
