OUTCAST. REJECTED. UNWANTED. Pack life wasn't for Lita. A fated mate would only mean heartbreak. Until she met HIM. The alpha who fought for her when no one else would. But her secret? It's powerful, and a demon wishes to covet her for himself. Their love could save everything, including the world. Their destiny is for their line to bring balance but, in order to do that, they'll have to win the war.
This book was absolutely amazing—I couldn’t believe how beautifully written it was! At first, I found myself mixing up some of the names since I had previously read the Doctor Luna universe, but that’s only because of the changes the author had to make. Even so, this series completely blew me away. The storytelling is just as strong—if not stronger—than the original. While I’ll always hold a special place in my heart for the original character names, I know I’m going to love these ones just as much. A phenomenal read from start to finish!
This book was FANTASTIC. From the character building of all the main characters, the plot set up, the immersion into the world & all the shifters! I did struggle in the beginning because I read the original version of this story & loved it so much that I wasn’t sure when I started how I would feel, especially about Lita our FMC. BUT!! leave it to JM to ensure I fell in love all over again & honestly even more than before. It’s an entirely reimagined story & I ATE IT UP! I am ready for Book 2!
If you like strong FMC with empathy & compassion on a journey of self discovery, a MMC who is fiercely protective but swoons over his girl that he would follow her to the ends of the earth, and a story that takes you journey of fate that has only just begun through the world of shifters, this book is for you.
I received this book as an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC). And am leaving this review voluntarily. I am so thankful to be apart of JM ARC team.
I was very lucky to read this book as an ARC. I loved the storyline! Usually with books, I can guess what's going to happen fairly quickly but at every turn I was surprised! She also included elements that aren't part of your typical werewolf stories and I really enjoyed the change. I loved that there were all kinds of supernaturals in the book and it wasnt just focused on werewolves. There was a good amount of spice and it kept me sucked into the book. The relationship between Lita and Asher had me melting. Definitely a must read!
Such a magical read! I love the way the author incorporates so many different types of lore and shifters into the world. Yes, it's a werewolf shifter story but so much more also. Asher and Lita's love story is epic, and I love the soul mate angle. The different mystical creatures allow your imagination to really dive into the world of the book and get attached to the different characters. It's definitely worth a read!
Luna’s Dynasty was such a great read. I really enjoyed Asher and Lita’s story—it was full of love and emotion. While Lita was unfairly treated by her pack she never forgot kindness and compassion. What made it even better was the other characters especially Caden with his hilarious comments and Grayson the protector. I loved the inclusion of other magical creatures, like fairies and centaurs, that gave the book so much more depth.
It’s not just about the main couple, but a whole world that feels alive and exciting. A perfect mix of romance and fantasy!

The FMC wasn't expecting a fated mate, but then finds her mate in an Alpha. But she has a secret power that others want for themselves. Will they fulfil their destiny together.
I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend reading it.

First of all, I received an ARC of this book and went into it a little skeptical because I love, love, love this series before it’s reimagining. Believe when I tell you, this is even better than I could gave imagined. This took these books to a new level with a similar but better story development and the characters became even more real for me. Can’t wait for the rest of the series!!!
Great lore-building werewolf romance marred by errors, repetition, and slow pacing
This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and they are much loved. So the fans are going to hate me!
I wanted to love this book! I’m a huge fan of werewolf romances and paranormal romance in general. But I just couldn’t even like it very much. :(
The Pros:
Great lore-building! There were some very creative additions to the usual werewolf lore, including fairies, centaurs, kelpies, selkies, and more, with twists on the usual lore as well. I did love that!
A Great Start! At its heart, this is a great story. It’s interesting, with some spicy romance, good action, and some laugh-out-loud humor.
Both main characters are virgins! I love this! While there is irritating Other Woman Drama, neither main character has been sexually active with anyone before. It’s a very nice diversion from the all-too-often used manwhore cliché.
The Cons:
Omniscient Narrator I can’t remember the last time I read a romance novel in omniscient narrator, and it really bothered me. We dip into everyone’s head! Secondary characters, tertiary characters, villains, and characters that only appear for a paragraph or two. And all within the same chapters. It’s so confusing and feels so very wrong.
It’s an author’s choice. But I personally can’t stand it. Most modern romance novels are written in 1st or 3rd person close narrative from one or duel POVs, and I vastly prefer it that way. I think the book should come with a warning in the blurb saying it is in omniscient narrator because I would have avoided the book and therefore not left a negative review.
Conflictingly Sometimes Weak FMC Lita, the FMC, can be strong at times, very strong. So when Lita is weak, it conflicts with the character I want her to be. She passes out three times! Fainting is ridiculously weak unless someone has been choking you for a while or knocks you out with a hit to the head. Lita faints for poor reasons.
Lita is naïve and clueless. It’s kind of funny at times but often irritating. Her self-esteem is very poor. She is at times Too Stupid To Live.
Other Woman Drama Asher had a fiancé until he found Lita. And then this Other Woman is a villain in the story. I hate Other People Drama, especially in a fated-mate world. If werewolves have fated mates, they have no business starting romantic relationships with Other People. The jilted woman villain is a very tired cliché that bores and irritates me.
Repetition, Length, and Pacing There is far too much repetition, adding to the length, and slowing the pace. The book is 679 pages long! I got very bored at around 400 pages but kept at it because I wanted to discover what happened with the overall story arc, with the bad guys, but then— I never got it! The romance part gets a Happy Ever After ending, but we never get a final resolution. This will come in Book 2 of the series I presume. But I don’t think I can stand to read the omniscient narrator any more to find out what happens, which makes me very sad.
As I said before, this is a great start to a novel. But it is in severe need of an editor and a re-write. I would prefer the omniscient narrator and Other Woman Drama be removed. But at a minimum, the repetition needs to be taken out and the length cut massively. If I were editing this, I would slash paragraphs left and right, whole scenes, and entire chapters. There is one chapter where they go to a water park, and it feels like a teen romance.
Hate me if you must, but I can only give this three stars. I hope my criticism is constructive. If it ever did get that re-write, I would be thrilled to change my review!
Contains graphic sex scenes. They start off with somewhat flowery language but get a little more “graphic” later. There really aren’t many of these scenes. Some intimate moments are fade-to-black.
Occasional foul language.
Omniscient narrator past tense.
Errors: Far too many to count! It’s readable but sloppy, with commas instead of periods at the end of sentences and other, easily avoidable, errors. These are things even Word should find if spell check is run! All CAPS and double punctuation marks, ?!, are used for shouting or emphasis. SPLAT, SPLASH, and the like are used like this is a comic book. And there are some inconsistencies and contradictions in the story.

A Luna's Dynasty by JM Snap immediately captured my attention, proving to be a surprisingly deep and captivating read that stands apart from typical werewolf narratives. What truly sets this novel apart is its refreshing and expansive take on the supernatural genre. It masterfully weaves a broad supernatural world that extends far beyond just werewolves, introducing a diverse array of creatures and magical elements that add incredible depth and complexity to the storyline. This rich tapestry of supernatural beings creates a universe that feels genuinely vast and alive.
At the heart of the story is the epic romance between Lita and Asher, a relationship that serves as a powerful driving force throughout the novel. Their connection is portrayed with a beautiful intensity, rooted in the concept of a soulmate bond that feels both fated and earned.
The supporting cast of characters significantly contributes to the vibrancy of the world. Characters like Caden and Grayson, with their lively banter and distinct personalities, inject humour and warmth into the narrative, making the interactions feel authentic and enjoyable.
Lita, in particular, shines as an exceptionally well-developed, strong, fearless, and compassionate leader. Her inspiring determination and courage are evident in her proactive approach to forging her own path, making her a compelling and relatable figure.
In conclusion, A Luna's Dynasty by JM Snap is an unforgettable and fiercely engaging start to what promises to be an epic and enthralling series. It is an absolute must-read for anyone seeking a fresh, imaginative, and deeply emotional supernatural romance that transcends genre conventions.
I received an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) of this book and am voluntarily submitting an honest review based on my personal impressions and opinions.
Lita, the alpha’s daughter, had been an outcast in her own pack because of her secret. Her secret, known only to a select few, weighed heavily on her every move and decision. She knew that pack life was not in her future and that even meeting her fated mate only meant rejection. Who would want her? Lita was trapped and isolated, longing for acceptance that she could never have. Or so she thought.
But when she meets her fated mate, the alpha of a neighboring pack, she is shocked to find that he not only wants her, but fights for her love. But as they grow closer, Lita discovers that her secret is much bigger than she ever imagined. Will their love conquer all or will it tear them apart?
A Luna’s Dynasty is then 1st installment of the Celestial series. I received an ARC and voluntarily reviewed this book by JM Snap.
The story is well written, and there are quite a few characters introduced and you get to know them from their POV. This is a Young Adult romance with some unique world building. While this is a HEA, it ends on a soft cliff hanger.
Lita and Asher had a bit of a rough beginning, but once they were locked in, they were inseparable. This book has a few spicy scenes once the romance picks up
This shifter series includes werewolves, various shifters, various fae, demons, and a dragon or two. This book is the bedrock the rest of the series is built on. It's an easy read, and you're left with excitement of what's to come in the next installment
I went into this book expecting Lita, as the outcast and loner, to be timid or weak—someone who would take a while to grow into herself. But I was pleasantly surprised. While she definitely carried the insecurities of someone who has been cast aside, it was clear that her isolation had also made her stronger. Watching her slowly begin to see her own worth and hold her head high was one of the most rewarding parts of this story.
And then there’s Asher. From the very beginning, his love and acceptance of Lita was unwavering. Even knowing she was hiding something big, he stood by her. As an Alpha, the fact that he was willing to give up his pack for her? That speaks volumes about his devotion. You can truly feel the depth of his commitment from page one, and I loved that.
The journey itself kept me hooked. I never knew what kind of mystical creature would appear next, and I was intrigued by the twists involving hidden lineage and the discovery of powers. But what really stood out to me were the relationships—especially the idea of found family. Not all family is by blood, and the bonds formed in this story were beautiful, authentic, and sometimes even healing. It made everything feel that much more heartfelt.
The story wraps up well, but there’s clearly more to come—and I cannot wait to see where this world and these characters go next.
After reading JM Snap’s original Dr. Luna, I wasn’t sure how I would feel about A Luna’s Dynasty. I had fallen so deeply in love with those characters and their storyline that I wondered if a retelling could possibly live up to it. But JM Snap has not only delivered—she’s surpassed expectations.
This isn’t just a lightly altered version of the original story. Instead, it’s a thoughtful, powerful reimagining that shows how much the author’s writing has grown and developed. The characters feel richer, the world feels deeper, and the pacing flows beautifully. Lita’s struggles with isolation and her search for acceptance gripped me from the beginning, and the romance between her and the neighboring alpha was both heartfelt and full of tension.
What makes this book shine is how it balances familiar elements with surprising new depth. Fans of Dr. Luna will appreciate the roots of the story, but A Luna’s Dynasty stands on its own as an even more compelling and emotional journey. JM Snap has outdone herself—this retelling doesn’t just honor the original, it elevates it.
Highly recommend for anyone who loves shifter romances filled with secrets, loyalty, and the fight for true love.
I absolutely fell in love with Asher and his devotion to Lita, their bond had me captivated from start to finish, and I could not put this book down! Lita shines as a strong, empathetic FMC, while Asher is the perfect balance of strength and support. I love seeing both characters willing to burn the world down for each other and their families. It makes their connection unforgettable.
This first book in the Celestial series is everything I want in a paranormal romance: love, laughter, mythological twists, and just the right amount of steam. The banter is sharp and engaging, the plot is packed with revelations that keep you hooked, and the ending left me desperate for more.
What I really enjoyed is that the story doesn’t just focus on romance, it’s also about growth, both personal and powerful. Yes, there are a lot of details, but as the start of a series, they lay the groundwork for what’s sure to be an epic journey ahead.
This book checks every box. If you love strong couples, mythological worlds, and stories that leave you eager for the next installment, this one is for you. I highly recommend this ... You won’t be disappointed!
If you love possessive Alpha shifter story’s that has included world building and spice grab this now!
Asher is not the only possessive strong male in Lita’s life she is surrounded by them. Lita our MFC is strong all on her own though. Shes fierce, smart, caring, and loves with all her heart.
Lita and Asher have so much handed to them from the beginning which makes for a ever intense read. With moments of aw Asher’s the perfect book boyfriend.
There are so many amazing characters in this book I personally can’t pick my favorite one. All the characters each bring a unique quality.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I highly recommend this! This is a world building book so it end HEA but it’s not story is not finished.
This book had me on the edge of my seat. I read this book as an arc.
The plot twists were things I kinda was expecting but at the same time wasn’t. The one that really got me was chapter 57 and that’s all I’m saying about it.
I really loved Asher and Lita and their story. I loved how they were more than just normal mates it made their story different. I also loved all the different supernaturals not just werewolves it really added to the story and gave it so much more depth.
There were characters I loved and characters I hated. One of the characters I didn’t like I kinda wish was dealt with in the end a little differently. I’m not saying they didn’t deserve what they got but I kinda think they deserved a little bit more with everything they did.
Overall I really liked this book and can’t wait to find out what happens next.
“A must-read for fans of myth, magic, and beautifully written fantasy.”
A Luna’s Dynasty by JM Snap is a beautifully written first book to the Celestial Series. The story immediately pulled me in with its vivid world-building and compelling plot. Every character felt fully developed, each with their own depth and unique personality, making their interactions engaging and memorable.
I especially loved the wide range of mythological creatures woven into the story—it added richness and variety while still feeling seamless within the world. The pacing was excellent, with twists and emotional moments that kept me hooked from start to finish.
JM Snap has crafted an amazing storyline with characters and a world that will stay with you long after the last page. Highly recommend!
Well she’s done it again! Got me hooked on yet another series and I’m buckled in for the ride. The love between main characters Asher and Lita is beautiful. The mate bond immediately connects them, but their relationship is not without its struggles. While they love and deeply care for each other, they both have emotional baggage they bring into their relationship that they learn to work through together. They work on their communication skills and nurture their bond together. If you’re looking for a romantasy series that has werewolves, dragons, fairies, demons, and other shifters you’ll find it all here. The story line flows naturally and keeps you turning each page. You will NOT be disappointed by reading this. 10/10 recommend.
This is the first book of one of the most amazing fantasy "universes" (aka "The Lunaverse") you will ever read. I swear. Although this is an adaptation/re-write from one of THE most popular books on the pay-by-chapter platforms (with over a million or something reads) it holds it's weight and gives an amazing introduction to the many fascinating and engaging characters and plots of this universe. The book starts out as a bit of a slow burn romanace (which is great if you are into that), and builds up into this fabulous climax of excitement, friendly bantar and action. This is just the first novel out out of a TON of other books in the origional series, which you are NOT going to want to sleep on. Read it, enjoy it and look forward to the next one!
I have loved all of the books that I have read so far by this author.
A lunas dynasty was just amazing. Simple as that. I've read a lot of werewolf shifter books, but I could not put this one down and wanted to finish. But there's so much more than just werewolfs - demons and fairies too!
I would recommend this to everyone. It has a strong Female lead. Who also shows her vulnerabilities and romantic side. A great story progression, amazing characters and new friendships blossoming. I'm rooting for them all!
I can't wait for the next book to be released to see how this story and world will progresses further. (Fingers crossed we don't have to wait long! 🤞)
Loved this book!! I love all of JM Snaps books, but I wasn’t sure how I felt about reading a reimagined book of something I had already read and loved. I am so glad that I did because the characters growth and the storyline are even better than the original which I didn’t think was even possible. I still love all the initial characters but I can’t wait to see how the rest of the series will continue! She is such a talented writer and I am already trying to patiently wait to read the next. I loved what I have read of the series already and can’t wait to be able to finally get to the future mentioned in this book.
A Luna Dynaaty is an excellent read with a constantly evolving story line that keeps you on your toes! The character’s and story development (coupled with some amazing plot twists) really draw you in, and leave you wanting to know what comes next. The emotions and desires of Lita, and Asher (among many characters) are very relatable, and help the reader develop a connection with them as the story progresses.
One thing I really enjoyed with this book was the development of the side characters. No character felt out of place, or underdeveloped. From the protagonist, to antagonist, to new friends made on the journey, each character felt important to the story.
This is a remake of the previously written Dr. Luna. While the beginning has been reimagined, the core storyline remains the same. I absolutely loved Dr. Luna and the books that followed, so I was excited to dive into this version. Unfortunately, this rewrite didn’t flow quite as smoothly for me. The writing felt less fluid, and it didn’t capture me in the same way as the original. As an ARC reader, I understand that some rough edges are to be expected, but I truly hope the editing process helps refine the pacing and polish the prose — because the story itself is still an amazing one at heart.
I was part of the arc team. I absolutely loved it. Don’t worry I don’t do spoilers. What I will say is you seriously won’t want to put it down. Definitely a “I’ll just read one more chapter, maybe one more, ok last one” it will have you on the edge of your seat, laughing, holding your breath. But what else can you expect from this author, she certainly knows how to have you hanging off her every written word. You are gonna love Asher & Lita. Caden will have you in fits of giggles. Highly highly recommend
I was granted to read this book as a member of the ARC Team.
No you won’t find spoilers, so here we go:
„A Luna‘s Dynasty“ is a rewrite of „Dr. Luna“, and yes at first I was sceptical and worried that it was too much of the same. Yes you will find some parallels to the book if you have read that book first, but it is still different and unique enough, that it’s still something new entirely.
I love this book as much as Dr. Luna and I am eternally grateful that I was granted the opportunity to read the wonderful stories by JM Snap. Thank you for this!!! Go read this book
Luna's Dynasty by JM Snap. I debated between 3.5 and 4 stars, but I gave 4 stars because when I finished I was looking forward to reading more. This was an easy read and it gave you so much to build from. It was like reading a weekly series in one book and knowing that you would continue to read because even though this story felt somewhat complete. There were hints of what the future may bring and so many characters that you want to continue to see their journey. I am looking forward to book 2.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I really thought this would be a fun, guilty pleasure read. From the very beginning, the writing quality was difficult to get through. It was awkward and lacking the polish that would make the story flow more naturally.
Outside of the writing style, there was a complete absence of character development. The characters never had any depth, and I never felt invested in them.
It honestly took a great deal of discipline to finish. This just wasn’t an enjoyable read for me.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I LOVED this book! It’s even better than Dr. Luna was! I loved the changes to Asher (MMC) - his love and devotion to Lita (FMC) was beautiful. The characters have so much depth and face so many (relatable) internal struggles - as well as all the external ones and conflict. THERES SO MANY CURVEBALLS - she really keeps you on your toes!
There’s great humor throughout, some spicy sex scenes and so many amazing characters from all different supernatural species that you fall in love with. I love this book and this series and the brilliance that is JM Snap! ❤️😍
I thoroughly enjoyed The Luna’s Dynasty. There’s a lot that has to be put into this book to set up for future books so it made it a harder read for me. That being said, I’m so excited to see where this family ends up and all the connections are made. There is a full depth and breadth of fantasy species and I can’t wait to see that develop. The last 25% of the book was my absolute favorite and carried a much quicker pace. I can’t wait for all the dominos to start falling. Fated mates, strong FMC, and relatively clean! It’s the best of all the worlds ♥️
JM has done it again This book is absolutely amazing. I would recommend that if you are a fan of the original series (lunaverse) to go into this (celestial) series with an open mind. They are similar but not the same. This story is very unique and thrilling. All of JM Snap's books have always kept me on my toes and this one is no exception. Amazing as always. And talk about the spice. Because ummmm excuse me miss ma'am the spice, oh the spice, is absolutely amazing. Like ohhhhhhh maaaaaaannnnnnnnn.
JM Snap does an amazing job in this world. She introduced so many characters who were all different types of supernaturals and I never felt like I couldn’t keep them straight. She does a great job building them and inviting you into the world so you feel like part of the family being built. This was such a great story. Lita and Asher and true relationship goals. Their love for each other is beautiful and I love how no matter what they really do rely on each other. I can’t wait to see where the rest of this series takes us!
