The Prez. The soldier. The only man who can save her.

He’s the Prez. A retired Navy Captain. Twice her age.
She’s the sunshine-sweet kindergarten teacher he was never meant to touch.

When Ariel’s desperate text shatters the night, Cap Montgomery charges headfirst into hell. A human trafficking ring has its claws in her, and bullets, blood, and broken bones won’t stop him from dragging her out alive.

She’s all freckles, green eyes, and glass-half-full dreams. He’s scarred, hardened, and haunted by war. But once he’s claimed her, there’s no going back.

Cap is the first book in the Iron Battalion MC series. It is dark, gritty, and addictive. Please check the trigger warnings on the author's website.

Iron Battalion MC

Cap is the first book in the Iron Battalion MC series. As the club President he is a vet and with his military training is how he runs his club…his life. Ariel was a kindergarten teacher and in need of Cap’s help when she crosses path with a human trafficking group. With them both caught up in ring they try to save themselves along with others who were also being held.

It was full of suspense and drama that made this book a page turner.

3.75stars-CAP is the first instalment in Savannah Rylan’s contemporary, adult IRON BATTALION MC dark, MC romance series. This is MC president and former US Navy Captain Cap aka Asher Montgomery, and kindergarten teacher Ariel’s story line.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers. Although dark in theory, most of the more graphic details are off page or behind the scenes.

Told from three first person perspectives (Cap, Ariel, Wrecker) CAP follows in the aftermath of the abduction of our story line couple. A human trafficking ring disguised as a relief organization is setting up shop in Iron Battalion MC territory, and our couple find themselves imprisoned with several other people who have fallen victim. With his Navy SEAL training, Cap begins to ferret out an escape plan with the hope that the Iron Battalion MC isn’t too far behind.

The world building focuses on Cap and Ariel’s plan for freedom, along with the other captives, some of whom are not in great shape. Reading more like a military journal of events and protocol, CAP follows the search and rescue of our couple, as Wrecker ,and Ariel’s sister Amanda begin to work from the inside.

The relationship between Ariel and Cap is one of friends to lovers that continues to blossom while in captivity and on the run. Cap is determined to protect the woman with whom he has fallen in love, often placing himself in the direct line of fire. The $ex scenes are passionate but mostly implied without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters are apparently all military grained. We are introduced to Ariel’s sister Amanda, Wrecker, Doc, Ghost, Scout, and Ranger. The requisite evil has many faces but no names or apparent identities

CAP is a story of power and control, suspense and intrigue, family and friendships, relationships and love The fast paced premise is riveting and thought provoking although reads like a military how to; the romance is subtle and fated; the characters are desperate and determined.

An OK story

This is my first read by Savannah Rylan. I liked her writing, despite finding the language the main MCs (and the rest of the people who appear – friends and enemies) a bit confusing. I don’t know if it had a military factor/precision but I couldn’t follow up easily from time to time. Too short, too military-like, too in-code, too…something. That made me feel a little weird, but it could be just me – I am not used to this kind of writing style. The story was OK. The whole book is the effort of Cap and Ariel to escape – and, after, to come back and help others – what seems to be a trafficking ring they find themselves captives of, with the MC stepping in. We see the deep connection Ariel and Cap have from the beginning (their romance seems to have started prior to this mishap) but I couldn’t understand more about them despite their resilience and military way of thinking (Cap is former Marine, but Ariel is a schoolteacher – so it was a bit surprising for me seeing her adapting to this way of thinking that easily). Not a bad story and I am sure a lot of things will make more sense in the upcoming book(s). So, an OK read. I would like to read the next one to find out what happens next. 3 stars

Savannah Rylan is back with a hard hitting, page turning, trigger filled book that will have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. This one is about MC President and former US Navy Captain CAP A.K.A Asher Montgomery and his hidden girlfriend innocent kindergarten schoolteacher Ariel. Ariel goes missing and of course there is no way that CAP is going to let it just go. He makes sure that he gets taken too. A trafficking ring that has set up in Iron Battalion MC Territory takes them both along with several other people. CAP and Ariel fight to get everyone free. You are taken on a journey with these two battling to get free and stay alive. You go down the dangerous road with them and follow them on their road to freedom and love. This was a very unique written story and really grabs your attention. It is not exactly fast paced but it has you turning each page slowly to make sure there is not a moment you miss in their fight to freedom. Savannah took off with a leap not a bound with this book and this series. If this book is an indication of what this series is going to turn out to be hold on because you are in for quite the ride with all of the characters. Highly recommend reading just remember there are triggers with this one. Find out what they are before reading this one.

This is the 1st story in the Iron Battalion MC Series where Cap, the Prez and his secretive girlfriend, Ariel find themselves kidnapped into human trafficking by an organized ring. With Cap’s military experience he uses it to his advantage with planning an opportunity to escape. Ariel takes clues from Cap and they work together only for Ariel’s time to be removed from the holding area with the other captives. When an unexpected opportunity is given to Ariel she takes her information back to Cap and the others. These two do what’s necessary to escape and take the others in the cages with them and find themselves on the run. The MC does what they can leaving hidden clues for them as they also have previous military experiences. Escaping and rescuing those left behind lead Cap, Ariel and the MC in a fight for freedom. This uniquely written story takes us on an unknown journey of those trying to end the trafficking ring and those trying to get them back for profit! I got about halfway through Cap – Iron Battalion MC before I decided to set it aside. The story had potential, and I can see what the author was going for, but the writing style just didn’t work for me personally. The sentences are very short and clipped — sometimes just a single word — which gave the story a kind of military rhythm. I think that was meant to reflect the hero’s background as a former soldier, but for me it made the reading experience feel a bit heavy and hard to get into.

The heroine, who’s a kindergarten teacher, also had that same tone, which made it tough to tell their voices apart or really feel the connection between them. I never quite felt the chemistry or emotional pull I look for in a romance.

That said, I can see how some readers might enjoy this kind of sharp, no-nonsense writing style — it’s just not for me. I ended up not finishing, but I think fans who like a very direct and structured writing voice might connect with it more than I did.

Know your triggers before you read this story, as it touches on some heavy topics. The story starts with a bang and carries on from there!
This is the story of Cap and Ariel. She is a school teacher, sassy, young, sunshiny, caring, who is seeing Cap - a retired vet who is now the prez of the Iron Battalion MC-. She is kidnapped by human traffickers, and Cap follows along to protect her. He will do anything to save her, and in the process he will possess her.
They are the perfect couple, and their story will keep you entertained from beginning to end. There is plenty of passion, drama, action, suspense and a group of characters that will feel like family by the end of the read

This book also sets up the upcoming books in the series.

Ariel has been kidnapped and somehow Cap, MC president, has been taken also. This is an action packed story about the ordeal. The writing style of this book is a little bit different - it has a military cadence to it and a ton of metaphors, it took concentration and attention to follow what was going on and what was being referred to. The writing style didn't ring true for Ariel who was a kindergarten teacher and not military like Cap, although at one point his training with her was referenced. The backstory and relationships between all of the characters isn’t explored and when someone has a couple of names (scout) it gets a bit confusing. I do want to read the next in series just to see what more is revealed.

Get comfortable you know how are MC men are you won’t put it down until the last page has been turned. Ariel is sweet loves kids teaches kindergarten when she is taken by an organized trafficking ring, and she reaches out to the one man who can help her a military vet and MC President. Cap sexy as all get out prez of the MC gets a call from a kindergarten teacher who was taken by a human trafficking ring he isn’t going to allow anything to happen to her so he goes in to save her and this is where it starts to get a little hairy they must work together with the other captives to escape the cages they are being held in but will they work together, will they find their way out, will they take out their captors, will they save all the others, and will it lead them to happiness somewhere a long the way?

When Ariel gets caught in a human trafficking ring, the MC Prez, Cap Montgomery charges in to get her.

I love books like this. Lightning fast and loaded with suspense and action that doesn't let you go.

Cap was all alpha, smart brave and knew what he needed to do to get her back. Ariel was smart but out of her league till Cap saved her. They wanted each other and found out what it was like to fight for something that means something to each other.

I really enjoyed the dynamic between them as all as the MC members. It's the first of the series and I can't wait for the next. Amazing read!!.

This is the first book in a new series by this author and is vastly different from her other books. The book focuses on Cap and Ariel who've been abducted by traffickers, their fight to survive, escape, and return to rescue those they left behind. The MC is secondary to the main story and is only mentioned sparingly so if you're looking for a true MC book, this isn't it. I found the book hard to follow in places as the characters use a short, clipped code to minimize sound and aid in the evasion of their captors.

I found the story quite compelling, albeit a bit dark, and a real page turner. I wish the release of the second book wasn't so far away.

While this one was touted as an MC romance story, this is really a military action adventure/romance story. Technically the men are former military and now an MC club, but nothing about this is an MC story. There’s no club life no biker brotherhood or any of that type of thing. This is all very militaristic, strategic mission based operation story. That’s not really my jam. This book is all mission with the side of unexpected romance, which again is not my jam. If you like that, then this one might be for you. I am much more an MC fan and I want all the club life the brothers the brotherhood… the old ladies etc. And this was just not that story.

Cap & Ariel: triggers- kidnapping, assault, human trafficking. I'm actually in awe of this book but not in a good way. the entire story is center around the main characters being taken and held for a human trafficking ring. so 98% of the book is them running back and forth. there's no relationship buildup but there are a few commercial breaks for sexy time between all the running which seemed a bit unnecessary. there's very little "MC" action or interaction. I think this would have been better classified as a thriller or something because romance it is not. I honestly really disappointed and of this is how the rest of the series of going to be, I think I'll skip out. I love Savannah Rylan but then was hard to read. extremely slow and repetitive.

Pres Cap has been seeing much younger than him kindergarten teacher, Ariel. When she texts him one night for help, he charges right in and is captured by human traffickers along with his girl. Cap and Ariel will have work together, using his military training to get them and the other captives out in time. Most of the story is the two to them together, planning observing the people keeping them captive.

At first the story can be confusing, but makes more sense as the story progresses. This is a happy for now, the story continues with Cap's VP.

I got to 34% and gave up. I feel like I got dropped in the middle of a story with no idea who anyone was and the writing style was not for me. At one stage, they’re wading through a river and it was noted “In the far-off world beyond trees, engines prowled and then drifted, like men arguing with a map they didn’t love”. There are so many of these descriptions, it was frustrating. Throw in the military jargon and multiple POVs and I had to give up.
This is only the first book of the series and I commend the author for trying something new. I would always encourage readers to try for themselves but this one is not for me ☺️

Cap by Savannah Rylan is the story of Cap and Ariel. This is the first book in a new series. They are both captured by a trafficking ring. They plan an escape and intend to return for those left behind. I love the premise of this book. But, the writing was a bit stilted and difficult to follow. There were parts that were slow…maybe because of the writing style and maybe because of the content. Not sure. It’s a good story. But, I hope the rest of the series isn’t so clipped and stilted. Good read!

Savannah Rylan is back and has done it again. The writing style is a bit different than her other series and isn't quite as dark as previous MC books. Cap is the first book in a new MC series with morally gray characters and heroines that love these protective former military men. This is a quick read that will have readers on the edge of their seats from start to finish and anticipating what's to come. It does contain material that some readers may find triggering but overall a great story. I can't wait for the release of Wrecker.

Book 1 of Iron Battalion MC Series. Being kidnapped together, Cap and his girlfriend, Ariel, find themselves in a human trafficking ring. I like that they never give up and care for those who need help instead of only focusing on themselves. The next book is set up perfectly to help take down the organization.

Cap is book 1 in the new Iron Battalion MC series and this series is off to a great start! It's a little bit darker than the norm for this author but let me tell you, it'll have you completed engulfed before you know it. Cap and Ariel are perfection! They compliment each other completely and the chemistry between them is explosive. Cap was easily a one sitting read for me and I can't wait for book 2!

Cap has a unique perspective. It's sharp, fresh and new. Pulled me into the story on the first page. Kept me intrigued. Couldn't put it down. Cap's story is such a different approach for MC's. It adds more of the Armed Forces training and tracker training. The words of the story are intense! Like I said it is fresh and exciting. I'm wanting book two already. Bravo Savannah Rylan!.

Ariel is the sunshine in Cap’s life. when she gets caught in a human trafficking ring, Cap who is the MC President nothing is going to stop him finding and saving her.
Cap is a veteran and is one alpha, while Ariel is kindergarten teacher, theses two maybe different but are perfect together. He will not give up until Ariel is home.

We have suspense, drama, spice and family.

Cap is the explosive start to the new Iron Battalion MC series, and it did not disappoint! Cap and his girlfriend Ariel are perfectly matched—strong, loyal, and fiercely protective of each other—as they find themselves caught up in a dangerous human trafficking investigation.

The story is packed with suspense, danger, and off-the-charts chemistry between the leads. The pacing kept me hooked from start to finish, and that ending has me counting down to the next book already!

I get the jest of the story Cap and Ariel are kidnapped by Human Traffickers and they are trying to escape and rescue the others. But it is the way it was written with like a military code and I get Cap is ex-military but it was just a little confusing trying to figure out what they were talking about throughout the whole book.

Cap is a great way to start off the Iron Battalion MC series. Cap and his girlfriend, Ariel, are keeping their relationship on the down low; his club brothers and her sister don’t even know they are in a relationship. When Ariel gets captured by traffickers, Cap does the same thing except for he leaves clues for his club brothers to follow. This story is packed with suspense and danger at every turn. I can’t wait for Wrecker’s book.

This is Book 1 in the Iron Battalion MC Series by this author. It is a dark, gritty romance between MC Prez Cap and kindergarten teacher Ariel. These flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an entertaining read. It is a thrill ride with drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, danger and violence, and engaging secondary characters. An action packed page turner.

I could not get into this one at all. It feels like it was written by a middle schooler who just learned about metaphors. The plot was ridiculous and this was just really difficult to continue reading.

I’ve read enough MC series to know that I prefer them to be gritty, dark, and intelligent rather than juvenile sounding. Others may find it easier to get into this and like something lighter from this genre but this series is not for me.
