Cap

The Prez. The soldier. The only man who can save her.

He’s the Prez. A retired Navy Captain. Twice her age.
She’s the sunshine-sweet kindergarten teacher he was never meant to touch.

When Ariel’s desperate text shatters the night, Cap Montgomery charges headfirst into hell. A human trafficking ring has its claws in her, and bullets, blood, and broken bones won’t stop him from dragging her out alive.

She’s all freckles, green eyes, and glass-half-full dreams. He’s scarred, hardened, and haunted by war. But once he’s claimed her, there’s no going back.

Cap is the first book in the Iron Battalion MC series. This series is dark, gritty, and addictive. Please check the trigger warnings on the author's website.

Savannah Rylan

Savannah Rylan writes dirty-talking motorcycle club and mafia romance filled with ruthless men, ride-or-die loyalty, and women who don’t back down.

She has a soft spot for anti-heroes with scars, found family dynamics, and enemies-to-lovers stories that make her heart melt. If there’s a morally gray biker growling “mine,” she’s one happy girl.

When she’s not plotting revenge arcs and steamy showdowns, Savannah is wrangling two tiny humans, two chaotic dogs, and a husband who has fully accepted that fictional bikers pay the bills. She’s known for rocking rainbow hair (usually some shade of pink or purple), surviving East Coast winters with dramatic flair, and drinking coffee like it’s water.

Originally from sunny California, she now lives where it snows, which she deeply resents. But at least it gives her more time to stay inside and write about men who prefer leather cuts over parkas.

If you love possessive heroes, high-stakes drama, and spice that fogs up the windows, you’re in the right place.

This was an MC Human trafficking story.
I personally found this writing style confusing, it was very repetitive which was annoying to the point I was guessing when it would be said again.
I wasn’t a fan on the romance with Cap falling for a kindergarten teacher named Ariel. It didn’t seem realistic or genuine
Cap and Ariel were captured by the human traffickers and they escaped after a few days. They are hunted down but again not realistic as in reality they would have moved on rather than risk capture which went on for days!!!
I won’t be reading more in the series as I struggled to finish this one.

character vanished

Interesting storyline but not an MC romance in my opinion. A HFN ending with a cliffhanger for the overall story

You feel like you are starting in the middle of the series and feel that way the whole time.

No clue what happened to Maya because she was almost immediately forgotten and never written about again

Too many points of view and feels like it is written in code. The focus is on the process of uncovering the mystery/going through the steps and very little character development or interaction between the main characters

Good story

Good story about Human trafficking! Also some romance thrown in with Cap falling for a kindergarten teacher named Ariel. Cap and Ariel are captured by this group that traffics in humans and they break out and are being chased by the trafficares. Caps friends find them and are trying to help stop the trafficking. Good story. Lots of suspense.

Huh?

Author's voice is unique and could be enjoyable if the writing wasn't so confusing. I really wanted to like this book. Unfortunately, that never happened.

Strange read

This is a strange book to read. The story is a little hard to get your head around. The characters are well written but it is quite difficult to follow.
