This is Lainey and Beau’s story, the fourth book in the series, and it features small town romance, best friend’s sister, instant love, rodeo vibes, and a close band of siblings.
Lainey is the only girl in the Wilder family, surrounded by eight overprotective brothers who are always telling her what to do. Despite that, Lainey knows how to hold her own. She is bold, sassy, and very sure of herself.
Beau knew Lainey was it for him the moment he saw her at dinner. From that point on, he wanted to protect her, be with her, and make her his. His protectiveness and certainty about Lainey were honestly so satisfying to read.
One of my favorite parts of this book is the relationship between the Wilder siblings. Their bond, loyalty, and the way they always have each other’s backs added so much heart to the story.
This was a sweet and enjoyable addition to the series.

Beau just lassoed my heart, tied it up, threw it over his shoulder, and walked straight into the sunset without even asking permission. And you know what? I THANKED HIM.
This book is instant obsession, instant chemistry, instant “oh noooo they’re perfect and I’m losing my mind.” Vanessa Vale once again proves she is the QUEEN of the cowboy instalove universe.

This man took one look at Lainey Wilder and said “yeah… that one’s mine,” and honestly? I respect the confidence. Older brother’s best friend? YEP. Absolute rodeo god? YEP. Small-town cowboy with the emotional range of a man in love from page ONE? YEP YEP YEP.

Beau + Lainey = perfection. Unhinged, horny, irresistible perfection.
I need the next one immediately or I will simply perish. 🤠🔥

Lainey Wilder the only girl with 8 over the top protective brothers dosen't think she will ever meet anyone that can last her last boyfriend ghosted her and it's a good thing because if she new what a piece of dirt he was she might have been arrested for beating him up. As a champion barrel racer she's figured away to be seen by everyone be loud be a bright spot but she's just a little tired of her brothers telling her what to do she can take care of herself she even rescued some young girl from a big mean criminal cowboy but now she may need some rescuing of her own. For the fourth instalment in the Cowboys of Devil’s Ditch series it’s the turn of Lainey Wilder to find love when her brother’s best friend and fellow bull rider Beau Rivers falls head over heels for the only daughter in the family. He’d first met Lainey when he went to dinner at her house but when she gets herself in trouble rescuing his baby sister and he ends up having to rescue her in turn, he knew he’d found the one. After all it takes a brave man to go after a girl with eight overprotective brothers like she has and who are highly experienced when it comes to chasing off men, but Beau was more than ready to stand his ground and claim his woman.
If you’re looking for a quick and easy read with a small-town setting, great characters and with a whole lotta spice then you won’t go far wrong with Beau. Throw in than a hint of suspense as someone seems determined to stop Lainey competing in the local rodeo and you’ve got the perfect read for a little lunch hour reading to help you daydream your way through the long workday afternoon.

These books are not full length books. More short novella length.

This is book four in the author’s new steamy series, Cowboys of Devil’s Ditch and features Beau, a bull riding friend of Trig from book one.
One look at Lainey Wilder and even over her family’s dinner table, Beau decided she was his One. All guys know that younger sisters are off limits—and Lainey’s got eight huge brothers to put a stop to it anyway so friend or no friend, no way… but you just try to tell Beau that!
Lainey was a firecracker! She never met an order she didn’t defy and usually kept things pretty lively around the ranch but she’d met her match with Beau.
This was a good book with tons of spice but it’s not my favorite of the series, it’s got elements that I don’t really care for but, by skimming over those parts, I still enjoyed it and recommend it for anyone who loves high heat, tons of heart and doesn’t mind the occasional spanking. For myself, 4.25 stars

As instalove quick reads go, Beau and Lainey are burn up the pages perfect. Of the Devils Ditch series so far, these two are my favourite.
Lainey is the Wilder brothers kid sister. Beau is Trig's best friend. If you've read the previous book you will have felt their connection over the family dinner table. It only takes Lainey rescuing Beau's sister from a dangerous situation for him to give in and claim her as his own.
I love how satisfying these short reads are. There is no fighting it or miscommunication. Just a cowboy knowing instantly and laying claim to his one. Beau is a fun read as he is all about dominance and keeping Lainey safe. He lays boundaries and will follow through to keep those boundaries firm if needs be.

If you love quick and steamy reads, I really think you are going to like this one. Beau is book four in the Devil's Ditch series, and while they are all standalones, it is recommended that they be read in order for the full effect. This is a cowboy romance with all the yummy tropes like small town, brother's best friend, and insta-love. I love how this story has no miscommunication trope in it. You know exactly where this is going and exactly what is going to happen, and it is just SO satisfying. It is a quick, easy, and spicy read with a HEA guaranteed. Definitely add this one (and honestly this whole series) to your TBR!

Loved this!
I love how he doesn’t hold back—not even a little. He’s feral, loud about his feelings, and absolutely gone for Lainey in a way that makes it impossible not to root for him. There’s something addictive about a man who knows exactly what he wants and isn’t afraid to show it, who wears his devotion like a badge and doesn’t care who sees.
The way this cowboy demands her attention, her affection, her love… it hooked me completely.

I love how he doesn’t hold back—not even a little. He’s feral, loud about his feelings, and absolutely gone for Lainey in a way that makes it impossible not to root for him. There’s something addictive about a man who knows exactly what he wants and isn’t afraid to show it, who wears his devotion like a badge and doesn’t care who sees.
The way this cowboy demands her attention, her affection, her love… it hooked me completely.

Ooh…I love strong female characters and Lainey definitely wins the crown. She is one amazing barrel racer, and able to stand up for herself against her eight protective brothers.
When Beau meets her, the connection is immediate. I loved the reminders that he is not asking for permission from her brothers but that he is telling them that he is “claiming” Lainey, as a courtesy. 😆
Lainey is definitely someone who knows what she wants and I loved how she finally beats Beau at his game in that very last chapter.

Instalove at the family dinner table, sparks at a rodeo rescue, and a bull rider who’s ready claim what’s his, which is a sassy blonde barrel racer who just happens to be his best friend’s sister! Ate this one up, it’s fun, Beau is blunt, sexy, and makes punishment look like the best thing ever, Lainey is a pistol and entertaining the whole read, and the intrigue just keeps building around Mr. Trout and how every single bad thing that happens in town seems to lead directly to his door. Great quick read!

Beau was part of the rodeo culture…and this man knew what he wanted. This man wants Lainey….the first time he saw her he knew. Lainey grew up with a lot of brothers. She is sassy, independent and extremely feisty. Together these two are dangerous…in the best possible way! This was a fast paced spicy read that I really enjoyed. These two had sassy banter and hotter than hot chemistry. This is a quick read about family loyalty, protecting what is yours and everything in between! I can’t wait to read more books in this series.

Better than the last one. Lainey was good until she went to confront the men that drugged her horse. This chick is like 5 foot nothing and thinks she was gonna take on 3 grown ass men alone. Around a pool, where they could drown her tiny ass. I don’t care how tough you act. These men were going to potentially kill you, and you go off alone. She dipped into TSTL territory then. Beau was better than Bray. He didn’t try to control her, just tried to keep her reckless ass safe and make her use her brain.

Omg he bought a ring! When? That will spoil the story but that part made me swoon!! Loved Lainey and her stubbornness. Loved Beau and his protective determination. That man did not stand down to her brothers. I absolutely loved this story and cannot wait to see the rest of the brothers fall. I also honestly cannot wait for the justice this family so deserves.

Beau is not a Wilder but Lainey is the sister and she is just as strong as her brothers, she is also sassy and very brave. I loved how fast poor protective Beau fell for her. He thought that he was immune. This story is just as well written as the rest of the series and draws the reader into the lives of the well done characters. Great story and I am looking forward to the rest of this series. Hot, steamy and sexy with a large side of family drama.

Beau has his sights set on the only female Wilder in the bunch. Beau is Trig’s friend who lives far away and doesn’t get to see him much so when he finally meets Trig’s little sister he can’t keep his eyes off her. Their instalove story is high stakes and pretty scary had Beau not been there. The way the stories are all interconnected has me hooked on the wilder family.

Wilder daughter Lainey has met her match with Trig’s friend Beau Rivers. Finally a man comes along that is not intimidated by her brothers and has his sights set on Lainey.
