ECHOES OF DECEIT is fast paced with life or death battles full of futuristic science fiction and mind expanding relics. The heroes fight exceptionally well, and the plot is clear. There are also a number of sub-plots with beautiful descriptions of surroundings and imaginative ideas throughout.
However, I was frustrated and disappointed when the good guys lost battles or won only Pyrrhic victories. I need more small successes for the good guys.
Overall, I felt unsatisfied by the ending which is not a true cliff hanger but does leave the reader without closure.
I reviewed a free Advance Reader Copy of this book with no strings attached.

Excellent

But where is the "afterwards" that tells us what is real and what is fiction in the story? What I enjoy most of reading Douglas E Richard stories is the education I receive. As this story added to my knowledge of archeology I now have a new appreciation for the science in general. I'll have to buy the next book to see how the authors resolve paradox of time travel (or maybe not... After all the paradox still exists in scientific reality.)🙂

Love and Heroism

Such a great series full of exciting twists, challenges, epic battles and even some romance. Can't wait to read the next book as soon as I finish this review. Though I hope I don't have that creepy big alien lizard nightmare again EVER! Haha...
