Puzzle

Mystery Room Advent Calendar was a refreshing and enjoyable change from a traditional Christmas calendar this year. Each day encouraged you to grab a pen and paper and really think through the puzzles. I completed it on my Kindle using the links provided, and everything worked smoothly without any issues. The level of difficulty was well balanced, challenging enough to be engaging, but never frustrating. Overall, it was a fun, interactive experience and a great way to add a bit of mystery and problem-solving to the countdown to Christmas.

So Much Fun

This is my second Mystery Escape Room Advent Calendar and I loved it as much as the first one! A very fun and unique way to count down the days to Christmas! The puzzles are great - not too hard, not too easy - and the story was fun. I actually did this on my Kindle and found it easy to maneuver. Will definitely be doing this again next year!

Fantastic and fun

This is a great advent calendar. Also a great replacement for the elf on the shelf. Working together as a family and having quality time together rather than stressing out. This puzzles make you think and have fun!

Arriving at Bramblewood Cabin you are surprised to find a mystery waiting for you. As each day passes you are drawn deeper into a dangerous search for a missing person. Can you solve the puzzles and get out of the cabin alive?

I loved the idea of a puzzle based advent calendar, and had a lot of fun reading this.

The story itself is quite straightforward, it's the puzzles that make the book. Some of them were easier than others, and all were solveable with a bit of thought which gave me a good feeling of satisfaction.

I did notice a couple of mistakes on one or two of the puzzles which made me think I didn't have the complete answer, but aside from that I can't fault the read. I'll definitely do another puzzle based advent calendar like this next year!

This was awful. It wasn't what i thought it would be. I assumed it would be word searches, cyrptoquotes, hidden pictures. Instead it was very hard logic puzzles. Often with critical information missing. At first I couldn't even find the puzzle, but after much study i managed to locate the puzzle and mostly solved it. After that they just got more difficult. I used the hints on all of them. Some I didn't understand even after reading the solution. After a while i ended up just quickly reading so i could say i finished it. I read this book to fulfil the prompt read a book with a special drink. (hpootp 2025)

My husband and I did this together and overall we really enjoyed it! There were a few minor issues with it that lost it the star. There were a number of typos through out and the puzzles difficulties were all over the place. One of the errors that stands out the most is that while this book took place in the US, you had to answer a puzzle using the calendar date but the correct answer requires a DD/MM/YY format which is not how it’s done in the US since we follow the MM/DD/YYYY format. Other than typo / errors like that we found it enjoyable and a unique take on advent calendars.

This was a fun advent calendar style mystery with a new puzzle and story for each day of December leading up to Christmas Day. Josh and I read this one together and worked on the puzzles each night. Some of the story felt like it may have been written by AI as sentences were repeated in places and some of the puzzles were a little confusing and unclear. You are a tourist in a cabin uncovering an environmental coverup. Overall though, a fun advent mystery escape room in a book!

I had the book version and relied on the clues and solutions in the back of the book not the qr codes.
It started out well but near the end it was a bit messy with lazy errors, such as repeated text, and some of the problems seemed impossible to solve. Those answers were also very unclear and in some cases referenced information that wasn't there. This sapped my will to make much effort on the remaining problems. Definitely had an AI feel to it.

The storyline was great for a family (recommend teens and up) and the puzzles were tough, but mostly not impossible.

Docked one star for a typo and a couple of puzzles that either seemed impossible OR incorrect.

Overall though, we really enjoyed this daily mystery and would do another one again!

This started out fun. I don't think I did any of the days without the helpful hints. I had the book version. the print was pale and the pictures were very hard to decipher sometimes. But the story line got harder and harder until finally I just read the remaining days to say I finished it.

This was a daily advent calendar challenge. It was fun until day 18. Some challenges were really difficult and some critical information was missing on some. I did this with my mother-in-law and we were so frustrated. But it was fun until that day.

Written by AI, pictures were too dark to see what was happening, mistakes in the writing, the puzzles and the qr codes where you check your answer. Overall disappointing! I had more frustration than fun!

The puzzles were a good mix of easy and harder. The only problem was some of the picture printing was hard to read. I look forward to the next book.

This was a fun and surprisingly engaging way to read over December. I worked through it day by day, solving the puzzles as intended, and found the difficulty level mostly well judged. A few days did stump me, with four puzzles needing a bit of help and one that still did not fully click even with guidance, but overall it felt challenging without becoming frustrating.

What really stood out was the story itself. I was not expecting the writing to be as strong as it was, and that added a lot to the experience. It made the daily puzzles feel connected and gave me a reason to keep going beyond just solving the clues.

While it was not flawless, I enjoyed the format enough that it has definitely made me want to try another mystery advent calendar next year.
